Engine – Rear Mount Sleeve – Install

1. Planning Information
A. Effectivity:

This service bulletin applies to the following Williams International turbofan


engines:

B. Reason:

The Rear Mount Sleeve (P/N 66750) provides additional fire protection for the
rear mount to comply with EASA requirements.

Revision 6 updated the engine effectivity. This revision has no affect on engines
previously in compliance with this service bulletin.

C. Compliance:

This Service Bulletin is OPTIONAL and should be accomplished prior to the


delivery of an aircraft registered to an EASA nation.

D. Description:

This Service Bulletin gives instructions to:

(1) Disconnect the rear mount from the airframe, if installed.

(2) Remove the rear mount ring.

(3) Install the rear mount sleeve.

(4) Re-install the rear mount ring, bypass duct and connect to the airframe.

2. Accomplishment Instructions
A. If engine is installed on aircraft, proceed to step B. If engine is not installed on
aircraft, proceed to step D.

B. Disconnect the rear engine mount from the airframe in accordance with the Aircraft
Maintenance Manual.

C. Remove the rear bypass duct and mount ring per 72-00-70, P.B. 401 in the
appropriate FJ44 Maintenance Manual as applicable.

NOTE: It is acceptable to apply 3 or 4 drops of engine oil to aid in installation.

D. Install rear mount sleeve over rear mount ball socket (swivel) engaging the flanges
of the sleeve with the flange on the rear mount ring.

E. Center the sleeve hole to the swivel and adjust mounting bolt slots so bolts are
within slotted area of sleeve. Wipe off any residual oil.

F. Reinstall rear mount and rear bypass duct per 72-00-70, P.B. 401 in the appropriate
FJ44 Maintenance Manual as applicable.

G. Verify the sleeve is not pinched between the front and rear duct flanges and that it is
resting on the outside of the front and rear duct flange.

H. Reinstall rear mount to airframe in accordance with the Aircraft Maintenance


Manual.

I. Record the accomplishment of this Service Bulletin in the engine logbook.

J. Register your compliance with this Service Bulletin by filling out the Certificate of
Compliance and returning it to the address shown.
