The Contractor is responsible for providing all material and equipment required fo,- pipeline pressure
tests, including pumping equipment and its set-up.

5. Test Sections and Test Pressure

5.1. Test Sections and Test Pressure of main pipeline

The test pressures are determined from the d1·awings 40089-FD-PPL-A-001 to A-004. The test
pressure is calculated as the System Test Pressure elevation subtracted by the lowest point in the test
section. The test pressures are presented in Table 1.
The test sections are determined using the section valves present in the pipeline. These sections are
visualized in the following drawings, which can be found in the appendix:

Figure 1: Drawing 40089-GEN-A-007 - General Flow diagram with marked items: Green: part 1 of the Contract, Red: part 2
of the Contract, for detail see appendix.

Since at this stage the Contractor of Part 2 has not yet started, the pump station and the water
treatment plant are not ready.

Filling Stretch T2
At the pumping station area, a basin will be used as a buffer for the pump. A container will be placed
in the grnund and directly connected to the valve on the reduction fiange at the end of T1. A 1 O"
pump will be used to pump the water to Stretch T2, see Figure 2. Ductile iron pipe or HDPE pipe
will be used to connect the outlet of the pump to the start of Stretch T2.

6. Process

6.1. Starting situation

Due to the danger of an open trench, testing and commissioning will be done with having the pipe
backfilled, but if possible, the flange connections near the chambers will not be backfilled.

6.2. General testing procedure

The tests will be done following the steps as shown in Figure 7.
