1. All listed specifications and standards shall conform to the latest edition.
2. Cast iron gate valves shall be used only in the following services, where there is normally no flow:
2. Line size shall not be less than 2 ½” dia. except for instrument connections, steam purge
connections and sample lines.
3. Steam purge line check valves shall be selected from the appropriate steam service piping
classification standard. (Do not use stainless steel check valves).
4. The end prep. for pipe and fittings shall be in accordance with Paragraph 5.7 of Design Standard
4S-02.01.

Immediately flush with running water for 15 minutes, holding eyelids open
