Executive Summary

People feel stressed, frightened, afraid, anxiety as they hear about “INTERVIEW”. Most of
us focus only on the question’s answers which only related with the interview. But we all
forgot; interview is the test of not only knowledge but behavior and honesty too. It does not
matter where our school and college were, degrees we may hold or whom we know. It’s all
about real life experience, approach, right attitude, discipline, etiquette. Every single thing
matters in the interview. It is important to do the interview successfully. It is must to
approach interviews in the correct manner and with the right attitude. These are the key to
success. We should practice these from our very childhood to be a CHAMPION in this very
competitive world.

Background of the study: facing an interview board is always challenging for us. We
feel just like we are in a pressure cooker whenever we appear and interview board. What
all of us for our dream job. To make it happen and materialize we have to know some
hacks cracked an interview board. We have to think from the perspective of a human
resource manager. We have to understand the psychology of a job interviewer. So in this
term paper we will give you every information about how to crack an interview board.
We have studied and research a lot about the guideline of facing an interview board. So
we will provide some lazy information about how to face an interview board
successfully.

Scope of the study: we have started a lot about this topic. Through
doing plenty of studies it will unlock huge opportunities ,& they are –

 Pandemic situation : It was quite tough, to collect information in this corona
crisis.
 Time allocation : In this short period of time it was hard to make a term paper in
detail.
 Technical Obstacles : Many of ours computer had technical problems, so it was it
was time hampering to complete it by other accessories.

2.1 Sources of data

2.1.1 Primary sources of data: Primary sources provide raw information and first-hand

evidence. We collect primary data from interview transcripts, statistics. These gives us

direct access to the core of subject. We met Bashundhara group’s fire officer MD.

BASHIR UDDIN (EX officer, BANGLADESH AIR FORCE) for primary sources of

data about guidelines for facing an interview board.

2.1.2 Secondary sources of data: We collect other necessary data from internet sites and

from various kinds of books. “WIKIPEDIA” and “PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF

BANGLADESH” website helps us a lot by providing various kinds of data.

Planning:

At first we plan about how we will work for it to start working for this term paper.We can
understand the necessary information what will be helpful and what should we include or
exclude.Then we started seeing and reading articles online.

Data collection:

After planning we start working for this term paper and start collecting data.There is no
primary data.We only collect data from secondary sources.Here we used internet for
gathering information on the topic.As this is a research work on make a guideline of facing
an interview board,we took the references from various website.All the information provided
on this term paper is from secondary sources,such as various links,web pages and some
books.

Data analysis:

After collecting data we start analysing those data.Then eliminate and process those data for
analysing.

Make a conclusion:

After analysing data we try to make a proper conclusion of this term paper based on data
analysing.

Provide recommendations and show the future:


Then we provide some recommendations to make guidelines of facing an interview board and
show the future of benefits based on my data analysing.

3.1 PRE-INTERVIEW GUIDELINES

3.1.1 Be prepared: Well preparation is must for facing any kind of interview. Benjamin

Franklin said: “By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail”. Abraham Lincoln
said:

“I will prepare and someday my chance will come.” So, preparation is must to be

succeed.

3.1.2 Research/ analyze the company/ the institution: An interviewee must do some

homework on the company or the organization which he/she wanted to join.

Interviewee have to know about company/ organization’s goal, strategy, departments,

work style, culture etc.

3.1.3 Ready through CV: An interviewee must prepare through cv so that he/ she

Should not stumped by any question regarding past employment or education.

3.1.4 Prepare common question’s answers: Interviewee have to prepare answers for

common questions.

3.1.5 Grooming: The interviewer gets the first impression about the job candidate’s form

their appearance. Therefore, they should well groom through neat and well. Trimmed

hairs, shining shoes, clean and trimmed fingernails.

3.1.6 Practice good nonverbal communication: An interviewee has to practice nonverbal

communications. It's about demonstrating confidence: standing straight, making eye

contact and connecting with a firm handshake. That first nonverbal impression can be

a great beginning and a great ending.

3.1.7 Prepare to ask questions: Interviewee have to prepare at least two questions for
asking

interviewer.

3.1.8 Prepare to explain why he/she would be a good fit for the company/ the
institution:

Interviewee should be ready to explain why the company/ the organization should

choose him/her.

3.2 INTERVIEW TIME GUIDELINES

3.2.1 Creating good first impression: There is a popular saying that first impression lasts

long. If the interviewee can create a positive impression at first sight or first
conversation,

the interview is likely to show a positive attitude towards him or her.

3.2.2 Appropriate Clothing: Dress or clothing of the interviewee should be gentle looking.

Dress indicates personality, choice, sincerity, and interest of the applicant for the job
or

for the institution. Dress should reflect the knack or liking for the profession or job.

3.2.3 Listening carefully: Interviewee should listen to the interviewer very carefully. When

interview starts, an interviewee should wait for interviewer’s cues both verbal and

nonverbal. For instance, interviewee should not sit until invited to do so.

3.2.4 Giving concise answer: Questions should be answered concisely and directly.

Unnecessary tailing or responses should be avoided.

3.2.5 Don't be too familiar: The interview is a professional meeting to talk business. This
is

not about making a new friend. Your level of familiarity should mimic the
interviewer's

demeanor. It is important to bring energy and enthusiasm to the interview and to ask

questions, but do not overstep your place as a candidate looking for a job.

3.2.6 Confidence in speaking: Clear speaking is an integral part of creating a good

impression. Whittle answering the questions he or she should believe that the answer
is
correct.

Whatever the interviewee says, it should be clearly voiced and pounced.

3.2.8 Interest in the employer’s business or institution: Interviewers try their best to

select the committed candidates. For this purpose, they want to know the extent to

which the applicant is interested to get the job or admit in the institution. Therefore,

the applicant should show his or her interest in such a way as if he or she is already

working in this company or the institution.

3.2.9 A firm handshake: The candidate should shake hands firmly rather than loosely. A

firm handshake reflects the level of confidence and mental strength of the

interviewee.

3.3 POST INTERVIEW GUIDELINES

3.3.1 keep faith on God: An interviewee should keep faith on God whether his/her
interview

Was good or not.

3.3.2 Never be frustrated: An interviewee should never be frustrated because it was not

the only chance he/she have.

3.3.3 Keep up hard working: An interviewee should never be lazy.

5.1 Conclusion: The report contains mostly all the information about interview. In this
term

paper, here mention the guidelines for facing an interview, a to z about interview etc.

The huge data section includes pre interview guidelines, interview time guidelines and

post interview guidelines.

5.2 Recommendations: After we conducted the research, we found that there are some

sectors where things can be evolved and made better. Such as:

 Interview should not judge only by education

 Interview should be more practical

 No blood relation advantage should impost in interview

 Interviewer should judge interviewee in every possible aspect
