    HOMEWORK ACTIVITY
    Dear student, make sure to follow the steps indicated in this activity, it is important for any
    concern:
    1. Check your recordings, remember that they explain in detail the topics that will
    help you to develop the activity proposed here.
    2. Contact your tutor, do it before the delivery date of your assignments arranged in
    MOODLE, do not forget that no activity will be received or graded by mail.

    APPLYING:
    Convert these sentences from DIRECT to INDIRECT SPEECH
    For example: Carlos: “My dog eats Purina”
    He said that his dog ate Purina.
    1. She said, "I can get home on my own".

    She said that she could get home on her own.

    2. They said, "We haven't been to an art gallery for ages".

    They said that they hadn't been to an art gallery for ages.

    3. The police asked me, "When did you leave the house this morning?"

    The police asked me when I had left the house that morning.
    4. He said, "I'll think about it."

    He said that he would think about it.

    5. Mary said, "I should have phoned my mother".

    Mary said that she should have phoned her mother.


    6. The doctor told me. "You should cut down on your smoking."

    The doctor told me that I should cut down on my smoking.

    7. He asked me, "Do you understand all the rules?"

    He asked me if I understood all the rules.

    8. She asked me, "When will I see you again?"

    She asked me when she would see me again.

    9. My parents said, "We are going on holiday tomorrow."

    My parents said that they were going on holiday the next day.

    10. He said, "Wait until I get back!"


    He said to wait until he got back.

    CREATING:
    In this speaking activity, you will record A VIDEO. You will ask advice to 5 people about
    how to learn a foreign language.
    Example: Mary: “You should travel abroad”
    Mary said that I should travel abroad”
    1. Alejandro: Read in books and pamphlets in the language.
    Alejandro told me that I should read books and pamphlets in the language.

    2. Javier said: Practice with your coworkers more often.


    Javier told me to practice with my coworkers more often.
    3. Dora: Create a dictionary of terms.
    Dora advised me to create a dictionary of terms and memorize them.
    4. Jennifer: Look for applications that teach the language.
    Jennifer suggested me to look for applications like Duolingo to learn the language.
    5. Ricardo: Enroll in a language academy.
    Ricardo recommended that I enroll in an academy that teaches the language.
