The following text is for question 1 and 2.

A Giant Oak stood near a brook in which grew some slender Reeds. When the
wind blew, the great Oak stood proudly upright with its hundred arms uplifted to the
sky. But the Reeds bowed low in the wind and sang a sad and mournful song.

"You have reason to complain," said the Oak. "The slightest breeze that
ruffles the surface of the water makes you bow your heads, while I, the mighty Oak,
stand upright and firm before the howling tempest."

"Do not worry about us," replied the Reeds. "The winds do not harm us. We
bow before them and so we do not break. You, in all your pride and strength, have so
far resisted their blows. But the end is coming."

As the Reeds spoke a great hurricane rushed out of the north. The Oak stood
proudly and fought against the storm, while the yielding Reeds bowed low. The wind
redoubled in fury, and all at once the great tree fell, torn up by the roots, and lay
among the pitying Reeds.

he would do should he see a Wolf, he thought of a plan to amuse himself.

His Master had told him to call for help should a Wolf attack the flock, and
the Villagers would drive it away. So now, though he had not seen anything that even
looked like a Wolf, he ran toward the village shouting at the top of his voice, "Wolf!
Wolf!"

As he expected, the Villagers who heard the cry dropped their work and ran in
great excitement to the pasture. But when they got there they found the Boy doubled
up with laughter at the trick he had played on them.

A few days later the Shepherd Boy again shouted, "Wolf! Wolf!" Again the
Villagers ran to help him, only to be laughed at again.

Then one evening as the sun was setting behind the forest and the shadows
were creeping out over the pasture, a Wolf really did spring from the underbrush and
fall upon the Sheep.

In terror the Boy ran toward the village shouting "Wolf! Wolf!" But though
the Villagers heard the cry, they did not run to help him as they had before. "He

The Fox & the Crow

One bright morning as the Fox was following his sharp nose through the
wood in search of a bite to eat, he saw a Crow on the limb of a tree overhead.
This was by no means the first Crow the Fox had ever seen. What caught his
attention this time and made him stop for a second look, was that the lucky
Crow held a bit of cheese in her beak.

"No need to search any farther," thought sly Master Fox. "Here is a
dainty bite for my breakfast."
Up he trotted to the foot of the tree in which the Crow was sitting, and
looking up admiringly, he cried, "Good-morning, beautiful creature!"

The Crow, her head cocked on one side, watched the Fox suspiciously.
But she kept her beak tightly closed on the cheese and did not return his
greeting.

"What a charming creature she is!" said the Fox. "How her feathers
shine! What a beautiful form and what splendid wings! Such a wonderful Bird
should have a very lovely voice, since everything else about her is so perfect.
Could she sing just one song, I know I should hail her Queen of Birds."

Listening to these flattering words, the Crow forgot all her suspicion,
and also her breakfast. She wanted very much to be called Queen of Birds. So
she opened her beak wide to utter her loudest caw, and down fell the cheese
straight into the Fox's open mouth.

cracked, you have a voice sure enough. But where are your wits?"

The Tortoise & the Ducks

The Tortoise, you know, carries his house on his back. No matter how
hard he tries, he cannot leave home. They say that Jupiter punished him so,
because he was such a lazy stay-at-home that he would not go to Jupiter's
wedding, even when especially invited.

After many years, Tortoise began to wish he had gone to that wedding.
When he saw how gaily the birds flew about and how the Hare and the
Chipmunk and all the other animals ran nimbly by, always eager to see
everything there was to be seen, the Tortoise felt very sad and discontented. He
wanted to see the world too, and there he was with a house on his back and
little short legs that could hardly drag him along.

One day he met a pair of Ducks and told them all his trouble.

"We can help you to see the world," said the Ducks. "Take hold of this
stick with your teeth and we will carry you far up in the air where you can see
the whole countryside. But keep quiet or you will be sorry."

The Tortoise was very glad indeed. He seized the stick firmly with his
teeth, the two Ducks took hold of it one at each end, and away they sailed up
toward the clouds.

Just then a Crow flew by. He was very much astonished at the strange
sight and cried:

"This must surely be the King of Tortoises!"

"Why certainly—" began the Tortoise.

But as he opened his mouth to say these foolish words he lost his hold on
the stick, and down he fell to the ground, where he was dashed to pieces on a
rock.

out into the world along the road that led to the woods. The two comrades
traveled along in the very best of spirits and without meeting any adventure to
speak of.

At nightfall the Cock, looking for a place to roost, as was his custom,
spied nearby a hollow tree that he thought would do very nicely for a night's
lodging. The Dog could creep inside and the Cock would fly up on one of the
branches. So said, so done, and both slept very comfortably.

With the first glimmer of dawn the Cock awoke. For the moment he
forgot just where he was. He thought he was still in the farmyard where it had

flapped his wings and crowed lustily. But instead of awakening the farmer, he
awakened a Fox not far off in the wood. The Fox immediately had rosy visions

roosting, he said very politely:

"A hearty welcome to our woods, honored sir. I cannot tell you how glad
I am to see you here. I am quite sure we shall become the closest of friends."

"I feel highly flattered, kind sir," replied the Cock slyly. "If you will

The following text is for questions 23 to 24.
Kraton Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat
Kraton Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat is the official palace of the Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat Sultanate
which is now located in the City of Yogyakarta, Special Region of Yogyakarta. Kraton Ngayogyakarta
Hadiningrat or the Yogyakarta Palace is in the centre of the Special Region of Yogyakarta, in an area of
14,000 square metres.
Kraton Yogyakarta was established in 1755 as a result of the Giyanti Agreement. Kraton Yogyakarta, as
the forerunner to the existence of settlements in the Yogyakarta area, left historical traces that we can still
find today. This area is a living monument. This is proved by the stipulation of the Kraton area as one of
the cultural heritage areas in Yogyakarta based on Governor Decree No. 186/2011 which covers areas
within the fort Baluwarti (Njeron Benteng), and parts Mantrijeron, Mergangsan, Gondomanan, and
Ngampilan. Then, in 2017, Governor Regulation number 75/2017 was issued which combines the
Malioboro cultural heritage area and the Kraton (Baluwarti) fort into one area, namely the Kraton
Cultural Heritage Area, which stretches from Tugu to Krapyak Stage.
The shape of the Kraton building is influenced by models from Europe (Portuguese, Dutch) and China.
The architecture of the palace was designed by Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono I, the founder of the
Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat Sultanate. The main building and the basic spatial design of the palace and
the basic design of the Yogyakarta old city landscape were completed in 1755-1756.
The existence of Malioboro cannot be separated from the establishment of the Ngayoyakarta Hadiningrat
Sultanate as an integral element in the spatial layout of the royal capital. On Jalan Malioboro there is a
Kepatihan as the center of daily government and Pasar Gedhe as the economic centre of the residents.
Both are part of a spatial unit called Gatra Tunggal chess or Sagotra chess. According to this concept,
there are four important elements, namely politics (Kraton and Kepatihan), religion (Gedhe Mosque),
economics (Pasar Gedhe), and social (Alun-alun).
The Kraton Yogyakarta consists of the front complex of the palace, the core complex of the palace and
the complex behind the palace. The palace complex consists of Gladhak-Pangurakan (Main Gate), Ler
Square, and the Gedhe Mosque. The core complex area in the Kraton Yogyakarta is composed of seven
series of platforms starting from the North Square to the South Square, namely Pagelaran and Sitihinggil
Lor, Kamandungan Lor, Srimanganti, Kedhaton, Kemagangan, Kamandungan Kidul, and Sitihinggil
Kidul. The complex behind the palace consists of the South Square and Plengkung Nirbaya.
The palace area was built by Sultan Hamengkubuwono I with a spatial concept that contains a philosophy
of requirements for meaning. Therefore the Kraton area should be preserved for its authenticity as a very
valuable cultural heritage.

59.21 square kilometers. This site is managed by the Sangiran Ancient Human Site Preservation Center
(BPSMP), one of the technical implementing units (UPT) of the Ministry of Education and Culture
(Kemendikbud).
The Sangiran Museum, which is located in the Sangiran Site area, is divided into five clusters. The first
cluster is the Krikilan Cluster which functions as a visiting centre or visitor centre, which provides
complete information about the Sangiran Site. Then there are the Dayu Cluster, the Bukur Cluster, the
Ngebung Cluster, and the Manyarejo Museum. This site is open from Tuesday to Sunday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Visitors are only charged a ticket price of IDR5,000 per person to be able to enjoy educational tours at
this ancient human site. Like other museums, Sangiran Site is closed on Mondays for the cleaning and
maintenance of the collection.
Currently the Sangiran Site is known not only in Indonesia but also internationally, as a site that is able to
contribute important evidence of human evolution (physical change), the evolution of fauna, culture, and
the environment, which occurred two million years ago. Because of its value, the Sangiran Site has been
designated as a World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. UNESCO designated the Sangiran Site as World
Cultural Heritage Number 593 in 1996 under the name The Sangiran Early Man Site.
The Sangiran Site has been known since a Dutch researcher named Von Koenigswald conducted research
there in 1934. At that time, Von Koenigswald discovered stone tools from ancient human culture in his
research at the Sangiran Site. Furthermore, in 1936, the first ancient human fossils were found at the
Sangiran Site. After that, year after year, more and more research was carried out in Sangiran which
resulted in many findings in the form of human fossils, animal fossils, bone tools, and stone tools.
Hearing the name Sangiran Site, maybe what comes to mind is "fossils and fossils". However, the
archaeological wealth at the Sangiran Site is not only fossils, but also stone tools from ancient human
culture and ancient soil layers that can show changes in the natural environment from two million years
ago until now without interruption.
The Sangiran site, along with all the archaeological content in it, is an important cultural heritage to be
maintained and preserved. Preservation of the Sangiran Site is important so that all the important value
contained in it can continue to be studied, utilized, and passed on to future generations. Currently, the
management of the Sangiran Site is carried out by one of the UPTS of the Ministry of Education and
Culture, namely the Sangiran Preservation Center for Ancient Human Sites (BPSMP), in collaboration
with the Central Java Provincial Government, Sragen Regency Government, and Karanganyar Regency
Government.
Efforts to preserve the Sangiran Site continue in several ways, including by gathering activities,
socialization, and giving rewards for community members who find fossils and submit their fossil
findings to BPSMP Sangiran. There are intensive efforts to make people aware of the importance of for
science. Apart from that, there are ongoing research activities, traveling exhibitions in several cities every
