National Grid is hiring a Senior Analyst for Process and Performance which can be located in
Albany, Buffalo or Syracuse, NY Location

This is a Hybrid Role - Must live within a commutable distance to one of our locations

Job Purpose

The Process and Performance Senior Analyst will participate with a dynamic team of employees
who will work seamlessly with the NY Electric Operations team to strategically analyze the
organizations strength and weaknesses, leverage what is working well across the state, and mitigate
risk to help enable meeting the organizations long term goals. The Senior Analyst will aid in
proactive communications to key stakeholders internally and externally, focused on making critical
data at National Grid available to allow stakeholders to make informed business decisions and help
deliver on process and performance improvements.

Key Accountabilities

• Collaborate with cross functional teams to improve data models that feed business
intelligence tools, increasing data accessibility, and fostering data-driven decision making
across the business.
• Research, compile, document and evaluate data and statistics to produce reports and make
recommendations based on independent analysis.
• Perform data analysis needed to troubleshoot data-related issues and aid in resolution of
issues.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders to share best practice,
provide technical advice and build bases of influence.
• Provide insight and input on opportunities for enhancing standard techniques, procedures,
reports and criteria.
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills with an ability to identify key issues and recommend
innovative solutions to complex problems using data, logic, and financial insights.
• Plan, direct and take responsibility for new and developmental assignments.

Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required


Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related technical field.


• 3+ years of experience in a datacentric role, coding, enhancing reports and dashboards
required.
• In lieu of Bachelor’s degree, Associate degree, and 6+ years of data analysis and coding
experience required.
• Experience with a variety of computer software, including the proven ability to develop and
maintain complex spreadsheets and databases required.
• Proficiency with Power BI and Power Automate required.
• Proficiency with Python, SQL, and HTML required.
• Experience using SQL queries as well writing queries in a business environment with large-
scale datasets.
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
• Strong customer service focus.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to cope with a changing landscape and overcome obstacles.

More Information
Salary
$88,000 - $104,000 a year
This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across
bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and
applying technical skills. Internal candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the
minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
