A RESOLUTION PROVIDING THE RIGHTS OF EVERY CHILD WITHIN THE VICINITY OF
BARANGAY DEAN LEOPOLDO YABES (PUG - OS) SINAIT, ILOCOS SUR.
WHEREAS, Section 17 of Republic Act 7160, also known as the Local Government Code of the Philippines, mandates that the barangays shall endeavor to provide for an effective and efficient provision of basic services and facilities which includes programs and projects for children and youth welfare;
WHEREAS, Republic Act 7610, otherwise known as the Special Protection of Children Against Child Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act, provides for stronger deterrence and special protection against child abuse, exploitation and discrimination and its corresponding penalties; WHEREAS, the Barangay Government of Dean Leopoldo Yabes (Pug - os) recognizes that children are important assets of society and it is only when children are able to exercise their rights that they develop their full potentials;
WHEREAS, there is a need to codify the laws relating to children’s rights to apply particularly to the Barangay of Dean Leopoldo Yabes (Pug - os).
