1.0 GENERAL

The present standard include the Customer's normalized procedures reporting prescriptions,
verifications and tests to be carried out by Contractor for a correct panels'
assembly/installation.

2.0. PURPOSE OF THE WORK

2.1 The present specification is referred to the positionning, connection and put in service, of
electrical panels and preparation .of its supports, if necessary.

2.2 The quantity of assembling materials, object of this specification, are indicated in the
relevant Erection specification.

3.0 RECEIVING AND STORAGE

3.1 Upon receipt of the equipment this one must be soon inspected to check its condition
and for possible damage / shortage. If it will be found some damage record it and
submit immediately the problem to the Site Responsible.

3.2 By handling the panel move it with precautions to avoid damaging to the internal
electrical equipment. It is recommended to unpack the equipment when it is
positioned near the final location

3.3 Protect the panel from adverse condition (rain, dust, excessive humidity, too high / to
low temperatures, etc.) until the installation time. The packing cases are not suitable
for outdoor protection. It is recomandable to store the panel in a close room.

3.4 For "Mark V" GT control panel or similar:

In case that the panel will not be installed in the final location, immediately or in a very
short time after its arrival in site and it is not possible to storage it in a closed and
conditioned room, it will be protected as follow:
a) Clean, dry and breathable cover;
b) The preservation conditions are:
Ambient temperature from -20°C to +55°C, avoiding sudden temperature
variations they may cause moisture condensation. If necessary it will be
installed some heater (in this case remove any flammable material inside the
enclosure);
- Humidity between 5% and 95% to avoid moisture condensation;
Protection from animals, dust and corrosives atmosphere/elements.

4.0 INSTALLATION

Packing and consignment in site will be effect individually or in group partitions depending on
the consignment necessities.

To install the panels it is advised to observe the following instructions:

In case of installation of the panels inside a building having a floating floor, must be
predisposed some special metallic supports where the panels will be positioned.

The supports supply, construction and positioning .will be carried out by Contractor according
to Customer's documents.

Metallic supports'will be fixed to the floor in beton, under the floating floor, by expansion
dowels "FISCHER" type, or similar.

Shaping of tiles forming the floating floor to carry out the cables crossing under the panels,
will be at Contractor's care and charge.

In case of panels installed directly on the beton floor or tiled floor, the fixing shall be effect
using the expansion dowels "FISCHER" type, or similar.

4.1 Provide to open the packing of panel partitions in the same local of installation, to avoid
distortion of the structures, beginning from the first partition to install.

For each panel will by supplied 4 eyebolts that screwed on the top side, will be used to its
sling and positioning using crane or tackle. In case that shall be impossible, to move the
panel it must use the rolls making attention in order to avoid metallic structures distortion.

Will be taken proper precautions to avoid the damage of the floors, of electrical cabinets and
of the panel rooms during the panels positioning.

4.2 Proceed to the panels installation with the following operations:

Fix to the roof edges of panel the eyebolts, pring the panel in the corresponding base, drops
and secures it temporary to the proper supports using the special bolts.

In case of the electrical panel in more partitions proceed as follows:

If possible, is timely beginning the assembly from the middle partitions.

1 Fix to the roof edges of panel partition the eyebolts, pring the panel partition in the tract of
the corresponding base, drops and secures it temporary to the proper supports using the
special bolts.

2 Install on the'base the contiguous panel partition and then proceed approaching each
partition to one's already assembled, making attention to install the correct part, according
to the drawing. :

3 Verify that all vertical roads be perfectly approached along the whole length- and
perpendicularly, to secure definitely the panels tightening the bolts connecting the different
panel partitions and verifying that each partition be perpendicular and levelled.

4 Connect, among themselves, the pieces of the grounding bars of each partition; to
connect the bar to the plant earthing system, at least to the two ends of the panel.

5 Carry out all power and control interconnections between the panels, according to the
schematics.

6 Provide to the outlet terminal boxes connections of external circuit cables according to the
Customer instructions.

7 Provide to close, using the fiberbeton, plaques or by sealing (beton or bitumen mixtures),
all the holes made in the slab for the cables entry in the single partition, in order to prevent
the entry into the tunnels of humide air and small animals.

8 Put the bolts in the opposite threaded holes of the eyebolts after its taking out.

5.0 MAINTENANCE AND PREPARATION FOR COMMISSIONING

The panel putting in service can follow immediatley its installation or can be made after In both
cases the Contractor shall provide to the panel maintenance to avoid damages made by the
personnel or things present in the cabinets, or by the atmospheric agents.

Before starting the plant the Contractor shall proceed to carry out the following works:

a) Clean with accuracy using dry clothes all insulated parts to eliminate the eventual dust.

b) Be sure, checking partition by partition, that there are not foreign matters inside the panel.

In case of climate particularly favorable to development of the mould and with the
presence of insects, is necessary to verify into the more hidden edges that be not nested
the small animals and be some forming of moulds. In this case clean with accuracy and, if
necessary, repainting the part with the same paint before used .

Before supplying power to the circuits, carry out with carefully the checks and verification
of connections carried out among the different partitions and connection running outside
of terminal board.

After carrying out cleaning, inspection and control, the Contractor can consign the panel
to Customer to put it in service using the forms provided by the relevant standards.
