It refers to computer controller that accepts a program or set of instructions & stores it

in the memory of the computer. In this, program can be edited or modified whenever required.
The Machine Control
Unit (MCU) in a CNC
(Computer Numerical
Control) machine is the
brain of the system. It
controls and
coordinates the
machine's operations
based on the
instructions provided by
the program

The Control Loop Unit (CLU) in a CNC machine reads instructions and makes sure the machine
moves and works correctly.
DRIVING SYSTEM- The MCU feeds the signals (i.e. of position and speed) of each axis to the
amplifier circuits.
