    Adaptive cruise control (ACC) is an advancement of traditional cruise control that automatically controls the speed of a vehicle to maintain a safe distance from the vehicle ahead. ACC uses sensors like radar and cameras to detect vehicles ahead and adjusts the throttle and brakes to slow the vehicle down to match the speed of surrounding traffic. When a vehicle is detected ahead, ACC will decelerate the vehicle to maintain a set following distance and provide audible and visual alerts if a collision is imminent.     When the danger of a collision is detected ,it provides a red warning light that flashes on
    the wind shield
    The system provides an audible alert when it senses a reduction in traffic speed in vehicle
    ahead
     LIDAR is light Detection And Ranging .
     A laser diode was used to generate the light signal.
     RADAR is Radio Detection and Ranging .
     It is operated by radiating energy into space and detecting the echo signals and reflected
    from targets.
     While RADAR target is the car’s rear spoiler the stereo camera is constantly captures all
    objects in it’s field of view .
     It includes millimetre wave RADAR linked to a 640X480 pixel stereo camera.
