What A Truly Good Person Muhammad
after birth leaving Khadija and Muhammad with four daughters (Stewart, 36). Muhammad and
Khadija took in Jafar and Ali sons of Abu Talib (Stewart, 36). In order to understand what a truly
good person Muhammad was the reader must know the true depth of his humanity and
benevolence as evidenced by the following text. Zayd Ibn was a slave who was given as a gift to
Muhammad(Stewart, 37). After Zayd Ibn came to Muhammad s home the boy s biological father
located him and asked Muhammad to let the boy return to his home (Stewart, 37). Zayd Ibn
rejected his father s wish and asked to stay with Muhammad s family because he loved it there
(Stewart, 37). Muhammad was so pleased by Zayd Ibn s admiration for his family that he freed
the boy from slavery and formally adopted him (Stewart, 37). Muhammad had also freed his slave
Baraka and even arranged a marriage for her (Stewart, 37). After the death of Baraka s husband she
returned to Muhammad (Stewart, 37). Muhammad and his large family welcomed Baraka into their
family (Stewart, 37). Earlier the preceding text discussed the mistreatment of slaves by the rich in
Mecca. Muhammad s kindness is evident in the fact that his freed slaves wanted to remain in his
household.
Muhammad often sought out solitude in the hills of Mecca. During the month of Ramadan
Muhammad would sometimes spend all of the days and nights in the peaceful solitude of the hills
(Stewart, 39). It was on Mount Hira in Mecca that Muhammad experienced a

Arnold Shwarzenegger Accomplishments
Have you ever thought about becoming the youngest person ever to win an award? Well that is
what Arnold Schwarzenegger did. He had won the Mr. Universe title at the age of twenty, the
youngest anyone has ever won that title. After winning this title, he went on to win seven Mr.
Olympia titles. These titles were some of the biggest titles that can be won in the sport of
bodybuilding. Arnold Schwarzeneggerhad a rough childhood and early life, but succeeded later in
life. In the beginning, Arnold Schwarzenegger had many of struggles during his childhood. Arnold
was born in the postwar Austria years (Ghaffari 1). During these years, Arnold s family struggled

Women In The New Yam Family
The women in order to get married must be purchased or sought after and gifts among other
things are given to her family in order to have her. It shows how women are treated as property it
can also show affection in a way in order to have her as a wife you need to deserve her. When a
woman does marry she must be obedient and listen to her husband, plant only certain crops; they
grew women s crops, like coco yams, beans and cassava (3.28). They try so hard to set women
apart from men. They are respected in a way as mothers. When you need help you go to your
mother s land to seek help because that is where her body is buried because your mother is
caring and loving. So women are shown as forgiving loving, which are all good qualities but
they can be seen as weak. Which in the tribe they are seen as weak qualities or in general if you
do not work you do nothing you are weak. Even though the women help each other raise the
children which is a big task considering all else they have to do. When they do not listen to their
husband they are beat; Okonkwo threatens Ekwefi with a gun after hearing her murmur under her
breath. Yet, the next day, the New Yam Festival continues without a public outcry for this battered

St. Louis Narrative
Louie...Louie!! She shouted at him. His attention was elsewhere, and she knew every day
around this time she came second, but she couldn t help but call his name. Louie, answer me.
What? he barked as he finally turned towards her. As he loomed over her, standing at the foot of
their bed, buried in his cellphone, she got her first good look at him for the day. She took in his
ragged demeanor; his dirty worn out clothes too large for his scrawny frame. Through a tear in
his pants she could see a cut on his leg, no doubt attained by begging on the streets of St. Louis.
She never saw him do it anymore but there was no doubt in her mind that he had kept that habit,
among others. His disheveled black hair was covered by a grimy nondescript... Show more content

Freedom Of Speech And The Right Of Bear Arms
After 9/11, Netanyahu argued against regarding basic liberties such free speech and the right to
bear arms as absolutes. In modern western society, we have rights, such as freedom of speech, and
in some countries, the right to bear arms. In response to the 9/11 terrorist attacks, Netanyahu
argues that these rights are not universal to everybody. We need to set limits as to how far these
rights can take us and suspend these rights for some people, because not everybody deserves to be
granted these rights. At times when we are under threat from terrorism, we need to reduce freedom
of speech and the second amendment in order to protect ourselves. There are also people who do
not deserve these rights at all, because they will use them in order to further the terrorists agenda.
Freedom of speech will encourage people to convince others that terrorist acts are acceptable, and
will further convince people to join terrorist organizations and participate in terrorist acts.
Furthermore, Netanyahu believes that terrorism is something that should not be taken lightly. We
must do everything in our power to prevent and fight terrorism, and reducing the levels of rights
that we have is one of the measures that we have to take. It is not only what we should do in the
country that we live in. Netanyahu believes that we should take a hardline approach to terrorism. It
is important for us to go into other countries and fight terrorists through whatever methods are
necessary,

relate to customer complaints in general, complaining as a process, the impact of customer
complaints, the most common complaints in the Hospitality Industry, hotel brands with the highest
rate of complaints, and handling guest complaints are discussed.
By examining the use of the LEARN Model to settle guest complaints by using the 5 elements of
Listening, Empathy, Apology, Reaction and Notification.
Themes explored include the value of complaining, customer satisfaction, widespread industry
complaints, and tools and methods of resolution.
Conclusions are presented as to the value of the discussed techniques and procedures in ... Show

Barlow and MГёller claim that complaints are not problems to be avoided but gifts to be
welcomed. They also write that complaints are important for several reasons, including:
You don t know how to improve your product or service if you don t know what s wrong.
Customer complaints can give you ideas for new products and services.
Complaints give you valuable information about what s important to people and what they re
willing to spend money on.
Complaints also tell you that the customer still wants to do business with you Most customers don t
complain they just take their business elsewhere, because they ve given up hope of getting what
they need from you.
Complaining as a Process:
Landon (1980) also argues that it is extremely useful to study the complaining process and that
companies can benefit greatly from the process of endeavoring to understand the causes, types,
motives, and style of consumer complaining. The author explains that the complaint process
involves the consumer s evaluation of dissatisfaction and the choice to make the dissatisfaction
known. The interaction between the consumer and the responsible party represents a process of
confrontation and negotiation.
Impact of Customer Complaints:
General knowledge is that customers are more perceptive to losses than gains which means that
worse than expected service is more damaging than better than expected service is beneficial (Rust
et al. 1999).

The Current Model Of Postnatal Care Provision
The Current Model of Postnatal Care Provision
Postnatal services in England are known as the Cinderella service of maternity care, with
inadequate funding leading to a blackened area of care for women following childbirth (Bird,
2014; RCM, 2014). Furthermore, the National Maternity Review (2016) acknowledged these
findings and proposed how an adequate level of service provision can be achieved, as getting the
postnatal period right is crucial to future maternal and child well being. Furthermore, three of the
four studies critiqued within this theme exploring how the current model of postnatal care that
midwives provide to women and their families influences the quality of the perineal care that is
provided, were all in agreement in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These findings are consistent with data provided by the RCM (2015), with only 32% of midwives
being fully aware of the NICE (2006) postnatal care guideline. This demonstrates that these
inconsistencies in care go further than just inadequate funding, but a clear lack of dissemination of
research into practice. This, unfortunately, leads to a poorer quality of practice as some of the best
evidence available is not informing clinical practice (Cluett, 2006; Ross, 2012; Guerrieri, 2012).
Swain and Dahlen (2013) and East et al, (2012) used surveys to obtain data. Both studies
explored the prevalence of perineal pain in the postnatal period, with Swain and Dahlen (2013)
focusing on whether women s pain can be reduced following the implementation of an evidence
based guideline focusing on the offering of regular pain relief. East et al, (2012) also investigated
the pain relieving effects of analgesia. The use of surveys was appropriate as the data numerical
data was collected (Babbie, 2010). An experimental design would have been ethically incorrect,
and, consequently the findings of the surveys used only demonstrate associations and not causal
relationships (Dyson and Norrie, 2013). East et al, (2013) piloted their survey and had the
questions peer reviewed prior to the surveys use. By performing these measures the author has

Moral Criticism In The Snake That Lies In Wait
You are the door, not the one who walks through it , Yuri Herrera wrote in Signs Preceding the
End of the World. The main characters being Makina and Chucho. Makina traveled to The United
States of America to bring her brother a message, she ended up changing as a person and received
a new identity here in the states. Moralcriticism is used throughout Chapter 8, The Snake That Lies
in Wait , in the scene with the police officer forcing the Hispanic man to write on the page, from a
reader s point of view by moralityand ethical teachings. Moral criticism within literary criticism
to judge literary works according to moral rather than formal principles, it is also concerned with
the seriousness of a work rather than its purpose (Buchanan 326). Moral criticism is judging the
text based off of moral teaching rather than on the beliefs of the text. In the beginning of
Chapter 8, Makina is walking the streets alone when she turned and saw a horribly pasty
policeman pointing at her (Herrera 97). The cop yelled at Makina saying Are you deaf? Get in
line. (Herrera 97). As the cop yelled at Makina Are you deaf? he morally presented himself as a
sexiest and a racist towards the Hispanic people lined up on the ground on their knees and also
Makina herself. The policeman continues to go on and ridicule the Hispanic men and Makina.
The officer started speaking to the people in an extremely vulgar manner. you want to say a

Solution Of A Weak Acid And Sodium Hydroxide Solution
Objectives:
To conduct a reaction between solutions of a weak acid and sodium hydroxide.
Determine the half way point of titration of an acid base reaction.
To calculate the pKa and the Ka for the weak acid.
To calculate Molar Mass of a weak acid from the titration results.
To determine the identity of a weak acid.
Introduction: The purpose of this experiment is to identify an unknown weak acid by titration with a
standard sodium hydroxide solution.
The pH of the titration solution will be monitored using a pH meter. The resulting titration curve
will then be used to determine the equivalent molecular weight and dissociation constant (Ka ) of
the unknown weak acid. These values will then let you determine the identity of the ... Show more

At the halfway point of each titration, the concentration of acid remaining in the solution is equal to
half of its initial concentration.
At the halfway point of the Titration 1 the concentration of H2X is
and
Taking the negative log of this yields: pH = pKa
From the titration curve, we can determine the pH at the halfway point of the titration and thus
determine the pKa of the acid. From pKa = пЂLog Ka we can determine the Ka of the acid. Since
this is a diprotic acid, this corresponds to Ka1. This information can be used to help identify the
acid because pKa and Ka values for a large number of mono and polyprotic acids are known.

Washington Irving Misogynist
Washington Irving has been accused of being a misogynist because of his representation of
women in his stories. I do not believe Irving is a misogynist, only that he may have been in a
spoiled relationship. He mainly depicts the wife of the main characters as being rude or downright
mean. Other women throughout his stories differ greatly from those who are directly involved with
the main character. An argument can be made that he is, indeed, a misogynist. As a result of
including at least one shrewish womanin his stories, he has been accused of misogyny. Irving
depicts some women as being cruel towards their husbands or family throughout many of his
stories. For example, in The Devil and Tom Walker , Tom s wife was said to be abusive, both

Symbolism In A Tale Of Two Cities By Charles Dickens
The wine of the aristocrats was made by the vine; the wine of the peasants was made by the
guillotine. The novel A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens presents this all too real society,
and the story of a group of brave and loving people who live in it. All throughout the novel, the
symbolism of wine as blood is pushed upon us, starting out during a seemingly joyous occasion:
a cask of wine is dropped outside of a wine shop and it breaks open allowing the impoverished to
get wine out of the muddy puddles in the streets. This scene within itself seems oddly out of place
in the story it doesn t really do much to introduce any characters, it isn t really important to the
plot that this specific cart dropped wine, etc. however, this scene is no less violent than the
beheadings and mobbs. You see, the real violence in this seemingly innocent scene is not in the
actual events, but in the meaning behind it. A shrill sound of laughter and of amused voices voices
of men, women, and children resounded in the street while this wine game lasted. There was little
roughness in the sport, and much playfulness. There was a special companionship in it, an
observable inclination on the part of everyone to join some other one, which led, especially among
the luckier or lighter hearted, to frolicsome embraces, drinking of healths, shaking of hands, and
even joining of hands and dancing, a dozen together. When first reading this passage we haven t
really heard much about wine,

Death Of A Salesman American Dream
Arthur Miller s Death of A Salesman shows us the necessity to keep the idea and hope of the
American Dream alive. Throughout the play, the character Willy shows us what happens when
the American Dream is at risk. When he starts to lose his ability to continue to live this dream it
puts him in a place of confusion because of all the years and time he has put in to live the dreamthat
people say he should.
One distinct way Miller shows how people stand by the notion of the American Dream. Miller
describes how Willy is living the dream. Willy had everything that is supposed to be a part of the
American Dream. He had a family, a house, and a job. The picturesque idea of what it means to

The Bombing Of The United States
For years people have looked for something to for sure symbolizes safety; or look up to and after
searching they finally found it on January 15, 1943 and that were the Pentagon. The reason is
because the Pentagon was built to be the headquarters of the USA department of defense which
makes people feel safe. Therefore, on September 11, 2001 the most mind blowing attack happen that
hit the Pentagonthat left many Americans in grief. This left many Americans puzzled because this
couldn t have been just an easy plan it had to be well planned out. Therefore, we are going to
explore the: history of the building, also the history of the attack plan, deadly strike, rescuers, and
how they were able to cope and push through this tragedy.
Now president Franklin D Roosevelt in 1941 decided where to place the building which was 60
years before the attack had taken place. SO architects and engineers decided to build the
Pentagon as a pentagonal shape and horizontal rather than vertical projection which saved lives
without knowing they would. The Pentagon has five floors with many different paths like:
oncoming airliner, U.S Army s Resource Service (RSW), and Administrative Assistant to the
Secretary of the army. The second floor has the office of the U.S Army Deputy Chief of staff for
Personnel (DCSPER). Bow the third floor has an Army office of Deputy Chief of staff for

Physical Development Communication And Language Development
1b.Sequence and development chart 0 to 19 yrs. Physical development Communication and

0 3 years This is a period of a faster, physical development. In order to survive and through a
series of natural reflexes, babies are able to develop the ability of grasping and sucking (on a
bottle of milk for example).Though during their first year babies have little control over their
bodies by the time they reach 12 months they would have developed a degree of mobility such
as crawling or rolling. In their second year has they grow and develop many would have learned
to walk. Now with the ability to control their own movements they may start to use their hands
more for pointing and holding small objects and even feeding themselves. By their third year and
their eagerness to explore, they would be able to climb furniture and stairs and play with toys. They
would be able to grasp and use objects such as pencils and crayons. They would be more confident
in their walking and some would even learn to run. In their early stages and because it is important
for babies to be stimulated and have an interest shown to them, adults will try to communicate with
them though they are not yet able to understand what is being said. If babyâ€TMs are neglected
and do not spend much time with adults, they will find it difficult to learn effective communication
skills in later life. From this

Dopamine And Norepinephrine Essay
1. INTRODUCTION
1.1 Overall specific aims
Dopamine (DA) and norepinephrine (NE) are the major catecholamines in the mammalian brain
and play a critical role in the regulation of physiological and behavioral processes (Wise and
Rompre 1989; Berridge and Waterhouse 2003; Aston Jones and Cohen 2005; Aragona et al. 2008;
Weinshenker and Schroeder 2007; Owesson White et al. 2008). The primary source of NE in the
brain, the locus coeruleus (LC), sends projections to both the ventral tegmental area (VTA), which
terminates in the vicinity of DA cell bodies (Jones and Moore 1977; Mejias Aponte et al. 2009;

1993) whereas О±2 receptor agonist, clonidine, regularized the firing pattern of the midbrain DA
neuron (Grenhoff and Svensson 1989). Additionally, idazoxan have been reported to either
increase or show no change in extracellular concentration of DA in the brain (Matsumoto et al.
1998; Devoto et al. 2001). Thus, the effect of О±2 receptor on DA neuronal activity and DA
transmission is clearly complex. Conversely, the role of desipramine (NET inhibitor) on DA
transmission is also complex since past studies have shown a conflicting role (Westerink et al.
1998; Linner et al.

The New World Of The United States
More so than that, Huntington was writing during a time when the United States was the world s
only military superpower which lead to the idea that America should take the lead in establishing
the new world order , one which would be dominated by the United States and their allies. Because
of this, American diplomats and officials were faced with regional, religious and ethnic conflicts
that, as Huntington argues, could not be easily solved. During this time the United Stateswere
making major decisions about the layout and status of the new world order. It becomes clear that
Huntington would believe future conflicts would arise from cultural differences due to previous
cultural clashes and that the most powerful country in the world, the United States, was also unable
to create solutions for conflicts fueled by cultural differences.
There are also smaller factors that could have had an impact on Huntington s outlook and thesis. In
1992 Patrick Buchanan was campaigning for the Republican presidential nomination when he
warned that the country was undergoing the greatest invasion in its history, a migration of millions
of illegal aliens a year from Mexico. An influx of immigrants, who bring their culture, customs and
religion with them, could begin to create a clash in Huntington s own country. Living in a time
when the political discourse revolves around anti immigration helps Huntington to argue that
civilizations will clash along cultural lines. If immigrants with

Glutamate Synthesis Essay
While the neurons play a pivotal role in the mechanism of addiction, these interactions are not the
only nervous system component in change of sustaining and regulating neurotransmission. Glial
cells, particularly astrocytes have shown to play essential role in the regulation of glutamatergic
and GABAergic neurotransmission, conduction of nerve impulses, neurotransmittermetabolism and
supply of energy metabolites for synaptic function (REFERENCE from TEXTBOOK). Glial cells
of the central nervous systemdirectly influence neuronal activity by releasing small neuroactive

The recent study showed a similar mechanism, whereby specific activation of astrocytes (via a Gq

this was shown to act via a mGluR2/3 dependent mechanism (Scofield, Boger et al. 2015). Thus, as
oxytocin receptors are mGluR2/3 agonist and on astrocytes in NAc core, it is to speculate that
oxytocin may reduce relapse via this gilal mechanism. Together these results demonstrate that

Teaching Strategies For Students With Multiple Ability Groups
There are a number of teaching strategies a teacher can employ when teaching year 6 fractions
including whole class discussion, lectures, brainstorming and questioning. Coupled with tailored
instruction to suit differing abilities, it is possible for the teacher to cater for students with low,
average and high ability. This essay will explore these strategies and approaches to demonstrate
how a class of 24 year 6 students with ranging abilities can learn fractionsin same ability groups.
The essay will highlight evidence to demonstrate the effectiveness of same ability groupings and
the importance of group size and identify and explain different teaching strategies that will facilitate
student learning and encourage students from all ability groups. The essay will end with a detailed
timeline where activities and lessons related to teaching fractions are explored demonstrating how
each group is catered for.
The class will be divided into 6 groups of 4 according to ability. Based on the pre test data, the
groups will be identified as high ability, average and low ability. High achieving students will be
those who have demonstrated ability in 8 or more of the 11 fraction topics in the pre test. The low
achievers will be those students who showed they were competent in 4 or less topics, while the
average students will be those who achieved 5 to 7 of the topics covered in the pre test. The 6
groups will be comprised of 2 groups with students identified as having low ability, 2

John Donne s sonnet about death focuses on the popular opinion (then and now) of death and the
process of dying. To Donne, death, a necessary passage to eternity, is pleasant and better than sleep,
and many people give death more power and honor than he deserves. Because of its pleasure, Donne
theorizes that deathreleases all pain and grief and is associated with only positive emotions. On the
other hand, a rock song released in 2012 called The Fighter written by The Fraydiscusses the fear
and pain associated with the experience of death. John Donnes tenth sonnet explores an attitude of
death that people perceive it to be and what death really is according to ideas of Christian
eternity and pleasure. These attitudes of death that Donne discusses in his sonnet oppose the
attitudes of death in The Fray s song which portrays death as painful and frightening with affects
of loneliness and despair. Donne s sonnet begins with an octet that addresses and describes Death
as being incapable, pleasant, and powerless. To Donne, death is incapable of fully killing
someone, for what death perceives as a person s end is only sleep in terms of Christianity. Sleep
is a luxury and a necessity, so it follows that death is a luxury and a necessity in order to enter into
eternal life (Chippchipp1). Donne admonishes death, telling it to not be proud or think that it has
the power to kill someone, because if one holds to the Christian idea of eternity there is nothing to
fear in death.

Clover Bingo Review This gaming site launched in May 2014, and was called Paddy Bingo, but
it changed its brand name to Clover, due to the fact that the first choice of name was a similar
name to another branded gaming site. The theme of the site looks just as you would expect,
because it has all things lucky displayed across the website. There are images of Clovers,
Emerald Isle, and Leprechauns are on the home page. But not everything is green, because some
of the other pages have a nice shade of blue colours. This website is powered by Jumpman

The Diagology Of Proactive Motor Health Monitoring
Abstract Key words: Motor faults, vibration analysis, bearings, sensor fusion, Data acquisition,

reliable tool at high production volumes and greater depths (Breit and Ferrier 2008). Globally,
around 95 percent of oil wells required artificial lift systems to pump the underground oil to the

Redistricting Essay
Redistricting is defined within our textbook as the redrawing of Congressional and other legislative
district lines following the census to accommodate population shifts and to keep districts as equal
as possible in population. Redistricting occurs after a census has been completed every 10 years to
maintain a more equitably distribution of fairness among minorities within each state but each state
also retains the right to request to redraw district boundaries more frequently if then need should
arise.
Our study and its subsequent design ensure that the voters that who were moved into these districts
are comparable to the voters that still remain within the existing districts. Redistricting also permits
us to fittingly model the miscellany procedure. To guarantee the voters a sense of fairness and to
fight against vote reduction and weakening, these regions are drawn concisely so that a margin of
the voting age population within the newly drawn districts are minorities. In both 1990 and 2000,
after each census was performed, North Carolina gained 1 seat in the house. North Carolina gained

The Case of Kelo v. City of New London
Eminent Dominant According to the facts, it seems that the sentiment of John (Cougar)
Mellencamp s hit in the 1984 fueled the controversies basing on the court s decision on June 23,
2005. The ruling stated that the local government or federal government was entitled to exercise
eminent dominant rules to enable them acquire private propertyand utilize it for purposes of
economic development. Eminent domainalso referred to as condemnation, is the act of taking
private property and making it public property by the local governing authority, state, or federal
government (Bradley 65). The private property taken away is converted to public property for
public use. With reference to the case of the Kelo v. city of New London, the court ruled that the
government should take private property through eminent domain for public use. This is due to the
provisions of Fifth Amendment of the U.S constitution. New London, Connecticut, could exercise
eminent domain for economic development. New London, Connecticut, was experiencing hard
economic times majorly due to the closure of the U.S. Naval Undersea Warfare Center, which
was the major employer in the region. This prompted a decrease in the tax base and population in
general. This made the city leaders desperate for some development in the city s economy.
Afterwards, a pharmaceutical giant Pfizer started to construct a facility used for research in the

Endothelial Cells Contribute Inflammation in Key Diseases
Endothelial cells are originated from embryonic mesoderm. It is a thin layer of cells found in
the body like in the blood vessels, heart and coverings of organs. It regulates permeability of
blood flow all around the body and maintain vascular homeostasis. If the body is not well taken
care of due to stressful lifestyle and not taking proper meals, endothelial cells can be inflamed and
damaged leading to key disease such as artherosclerosis, heart disease, diabetes, kidney disease and
Alzheimer s disease.
Atherosclerosis is a lipid storage disease where too much of lipid is deposited in endothelial of
arteries causing narrowing to prevent blood to flow. It is triggered by daily diet of consuming
highly saturated fat, hypertension and smoking. In healthy endothelial cells, leukocytes do not stick
on to the endothelial cells. During early phases of inflammation in endothelial cells, the leukocytes
attach to the arteries cell wall with the help of vascular cell adhesion 1 (VCAM 1) and
penentrate into the endothelial layer. VCAM 1 binds monocytes and T lymphocytes, the types of
leukocytes found in early atherosclerotic plaques. ( Libby P., 2006:456S) Atherosclerosis lesion is
a foam cells whereby macrophages engulf lipid particles. The lesion secretes cytokines and growth
factors to promote proliferation of smooth muscle. The increased of inflammatory markers like
interleukin 6 (IL 6) and interleukin 1 (IL 1) accumulated in the endothelial cells accerlate the

Neo Assyria Essay
The queens of Neo Assyria have long had their positions as a part of the administrations of the
royal palace neglected or overlooked. For the purpose of this assignment, I want to take a closer
look at the roles the queen and her household were responsible for in the function of the palace and,
in extension, the Empire. Comparatively, we know a lot more about the kings of the Neo Assyrian
Empirethan we do about the queens. Although the sheer amount of tablets and steles are
comparatively few in contrast with kings, there is greater significance in the select pieces of
evidence of queenship that we do have. With access to such a narrow window into lives of the
queens, it makes it all the more essential to try and put together the pieces that... Show more content

There are two very prominent examples of influential women who resided in the royal courts of
Neo Assyrian. The better known of the two is the mother of Esarhaddon, NaqД« a, or ZakЕ«tu
in Akkadian, who is probably one of the most famous women from the era. She is best known
for her treaty of ZakЕ«tu in which she ascertained the loyalty of the empire to her grandson,
Assurbanipal. There is debate over the reason why she was granted so much influence. Sarah
Melville argues that she was purposefully given a bigger role to ensure the peaceful transition of
kingship to her grandson. In contrast, Zafira Ben Barak has pointed out that she may have only
been trying to ensure her social rank and assume any authority she could through possible
manipulation. Nevertheless, NaqД« a is an example of a great point of intrigue in this topic
because it is difficult to conclude whether she was an exception in the accepted tradition of the
queenship or if there were more like her. With approximately 177 text references of the queen and
the king s mother, I plan on investigating the political sway a queen might have in her court by
referring to the texts and other analysis of the writings by different

Supernatural Character in Octavio Paz s Short Story, My...
Mexican born author, Octavio Paz, in his short story, My Life with the wave suggests the
protagonist is symbolic and then remains a supernatural character best understood in literal terms.
He supports his claim by showing the reader the speakers difficulty of finding a place for the
wave out of the ocean, how the protagonist suffers imprisonment for a crime he did not commit,
and of how through the death of the wave the protagonist is able to free himself from the pain and
torment he faced when he was engaged in a relationship with the wave. Paz s intention is to use the
symbolism in order show the negative side of falling in love. Octavio Pazadopts an intense tone for
the somber reader. The short storyLife with the Wave, written by Octavio Paz leads us through an
intense relationship between a simple man and a wave. Octavio Paz uses the wave to symbolize
a woman. The wave can also be seen as changing just as humans do, she was a white plume of

From observing people today and reading the book, there are a lot of similarities for why people
used psychoactive drugs to cope with their environment. The people that I have talked to have
mentioned that they use the drugs to get out of the depression or to forget about it for a while.
This can be because they are depressed about money, relationship, etc. Each of these which can

Effects Of Water Pollution On India
Pure Indian carp are among the most sought fish in the world, and an entire fishing market has
been built around them for many centuries now. For the most part, they are only attainable from
the Halda River, which is a large yet singular source of natural carp breeding based in Bangladesh,
and all of South Asia has suffered its losses as of late to the tune of some 26 different fishspecies in
general all wiped out in seven years time by water pollution. India has been suffering similar water
pollution issues itself and has concluded that linking certain rivers may be the best way to deal
with the problem; however, new research indicates that this will have adverse effects on Indian
ecosystems.
In Bangladesh, the construction of dikes and dams on either side of the Halda has contributed to the
proliferation of water pollution. A sizeable contingent of that pollution stems from the infirmed
biotic community in key areas. The river itself, mind you, is exceedingly long (98 km) with a rather
aggressive tributary known as the Dhurung River that merges with Purba Dhalai some 48 km
downstream. Halda stretches from the Badnatali Hill Ranges in the Chittagong Hill Tracts down
through Fatikchhari upazila, Bhujppur Thana, Hathazari upazila, followed by Raozan and then
Chandgaon Thana. It finally spills into the Karnaphuli River, and all of these mouths, so to speak,
indicate to anyone who knows rivers that the Halda River is a fairly massive body of water
feeding an intricate

Septic Tank Myths
To most homeowners, a septic tank system is one of the most intriguing parts of their home s
plumbing infrastructure and the smelliest as well.
Here at Halls Plumbers, we take pride in knowing that our customers are well informed before they
begin this home repair project, so let s examine the top seven biggest myths that exist about your
home s septic tank system.
1. There s no need to service a septic tank.
In reality, septic tanks need to be emptied every two to three years depending on the capacity of
the tank and the number of household residents. That being said, a septic tank system can typically
last up to 30 years sometimes even up to 50 years.
2. A septic tank is more important than a drain field.
Both are crucially ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Bacteria additives are unnecessary.
Bacteria in the tank helps maintain a healthy environment for breaking down waste and
replenishing effective volumes of bacteria.
5. No pumping is needed if you re using bacteria.
Completely false. A tank must be emptied regularly once it is full bacteria or no bacteria.
6. Household cleaners are not really harmful to your tank system.
Any chemical thrown into the septic tank system can kill beneficial bacteria if too much is
discarded into the tank.
7. Garbage disposals, water softeners and large amounts of water can t harm the system.
The truth is that the garbage disposal content increases solid waste before it can decompose. Water
softeners and high volumes of water only add to the amount of waste water that needs processing.
Moderation is the key here.

The Theme Of Loneliness
In A Clean, Well Lighted Place, by Hemingway and Miss Brill by Katherine Mansfield what they
both have in common is the literary device theme loneliness. Theme is the general idea or insight
revealed in a narrative. These two stories are also different from the style of writing these two
authors wrote how to tell their stories.
Loneliness is introduced in the beginning of the short story A Clean, Well Lighted Place by
Hemingway. The deaf old man, with no wife and only a niece to care for him, is noticeably
lonely. The younger waiter, upset that the old man won t go home, shows himself and the old man
in opposites: He s lonely. I m not lonely. I have a wife waiting in bed for me (Ernest Hemingway

The old people sat on the bench, sill as statues. Never mind, there was always the crows to
watch. (Mansfield pg. 563) She sees all of the people, in their separate interactions, as being part
of a stage production. She thinks of the people in the stands, including herself, not as audience
members but as performers too. She thinks of herself as being a part of the production that if she
were missing someone she would notice. She tells the old man who cares little for her presence
that I have been an actress for a long time. (Mansfield pg. 564)
These two stories contrast the way they were written in A Clean, Well Lighted Place the author
Hemingway writes the story mostly in dialogue. The story is mostly the young waiter and older
waiter talking to each other about the old man. Last week he tried to commit suicide (Ernest
Hemingway pg. 372) We only learn about the old man through conversation between the waiters.
The way Katherine Mansfield wrote Miss Brill she wrote a lot of details where you can imagine
Miss Brill enjoying her fur. She had taken it out of it s box that afternoon, shaken out the moth
powder, given it a good brush and rubbed the life back into the dim little eye. (Katherine
Mansfield pg. 562) It bought her back to life. But today she passed the baker s boy, climbed the
stairs, went into the little dark room her room like a cupboard and sat down on the red eiderdown
bed. (Katherine Mansfield pg. 565) She also uses a lot of

By Mark Twain Mark Twain Fenimore Cooper s Literary...
The American writer Mark Twain wrote Fenimore Cooper s Literary Offenses in response and his
own opinion about Cooper s novels. In this essay, Twain criticizes the major mistakes and rules
which Cooper violates in writing his series, The Leatherstocking Tales. A large portion of the rules
which Twain writes about can be found in Cooper s novel, The Last of the Mohicans. His self made
rules are very encompassing of Cooper s literary flaws which can easily be pointed out through
his novel. With Cooper violating these basic set of rules, he makes his novel seem very rushed and
undeveloped as the rules which do not follow encompass very crucial criteria which not only these
kinds of novels must have, but any novel must do.
In his essay, Twain criticizes Cooper on his inability to develop characters or to even have them
develop throughout the novel. Twain writes this is his essay when he writes, They require that
the author shall make the reader feel a deep interest in the personages of his tale and in their fate;
and that he shall make the reader love the good people in the tale and hate the bad ones. (Twain 2).
Twain notes that there should be a definite distinction between protagonist and antagonist of the
story. Overall, Cooper does a decent, but a sloppy job in distinguishing the main conflict which
each side is on. For example, the disputes between Magua and the Europeans in the novel is not
developed enough in The Last of the Mohicans to be able to confidently

eBay Structures Its Bid For Change
Problem Statement Adoption of an improper organizational structure design that is not flexible
enough to the unstable and the rapidly changing external environment in eBay s domestic and
international markets.
Analysis and Evaluation
A functional organizational structure with various operational areas, such as finance, operations,
human resources, and legal units was adopted for the eBay during its establishment. In a functional
structure, workers and activities are organized into areas of their expertise or units given specific
functions. Therefore, the structure promotes efficiency and ... Show more content on

With the exception of PayPal and Skype, the other companies joined the Marketplace category that
offers eBay main Marketplace activities. The Marketplace operation contributes the largest share of
the revenues for eBay, followed by PayPal and Skype with the lowest revenues.
In such a multidivisional structure, there are separate and smaller divisions that perform varying
functions. Every unit of the divisions is more focused in a given area, which makes the structure
have more ability to adapt to market changes than the functional structure. Nevertheless, this kind of
structure leads to duplication of management, administration, and staff activities, thus, there is
inefficiency in the use of functional resources, higher costs, and loss of economies of scale. The
multidivisional structure that was introduced in eBay was services centric because it was focused
on the kind of services provided in each division (Lee et al., 2015).
The changes that have occurred in eBay s organizational structure resulted in the current matrix
structure. This is because the activities of the Company are aligned along more than one line of
authority that is also applying the divisional and functional chains of command. As it is explained
in the case study, each of the three divisional units has a president and its functional areas. This kind
of structure

St. Paul Sustainable Ecosystem
Sustainability is whether or not an ecosystem can survive for long periods of time. Throughout this
chapter I will be talking about whether the forest in the backyard of St. Paul is a sustainable
ecosystem and what factors keep the balance.
First of all an ecosystem is all the biotic things that live in one area and the chemical and physical
environment that surrounds them. Usually in a sustainable ecosystem there is everything that the
ecosystem needs already provided within it. So what does an ecosystem need? Well first of all
there needs to be an abundance of lots of biodiversity, which means that there are multiple different
types of plants and animals as well as various different species. Because there is so much different

The carbon cycle is also a very important part of the ecosystem. The carbon cycle is how the carbon
gets transferred from the lithosphere, atmosphere, hydrosphere, and biosphere. The carbon cycle
starts with plants using the CO2 in photosynthesis. During photosynthesis plants use water, energy
from the sun and carbon to make a compound called glucose as well as releasing oxygen. Then as
the plants get eaten by consumers the glucose (which includes carbon) moves up the food chain.
Along the way animals use that glucose for energy, as well as breathing out the carbon in the form
of carbon dioxide. Animals and humans harness this energy by our cells that break down the
glucose. This is a process called cellular respiration. We then release the carbon in the form of
carbon dioxide back into the air by exhaling or eliminating waste.
If along the chain a producer or consumer dies without being eaten the carbon will decompose and
will get buried under everything else. After many years the carbon that was in it will turn into
fossil fuels ready to be burned by us and release more of the already abundant carbon dioxide into

The scene opens on a two room apartment in Dublin. The furniture and other belongings are sparse

Juno defends her daughter against Boyle and attempts to point out to Boyle how difficult this

When Johnny is killed, Boyle has no idea because he is busy drinking his troubles away. Johnny s

  • 3. What A Truly Good Person Muhammad after birth leaving Khadija and Muhammad with four daughters (Stewart, 36). Muhammad and Khadija took in Jafar and Ali sons of Abu Talib (Stewart, 36). In order to understand what a truly good person Muhammad was the reader must know the true depth of his humanity and benevolence as evidenced by the following text. Zayd Ibn was a slave who was given as a gift to Muhammad(Stewart, 37). After Zayd Ibn came to Muhammad s home the boy s biological father located him and asked Muhammad to let the boy return to his home (Stewart, 37). Zayd Ibn rejected his father s wish and asked to stay with Muhammad s family because he loved it there (Stewart, 37). Muhammad was so pleased by Zayd Ibn s admiration for his family that he freed the boy from slavery and formally adopted him (Stewart, 37). Muhammad had also freed his slave Baraka and even arranged a marriage for her (Stewart, 37). After the death of Baraka s husband she returned to Muhammad (Stewart, 37). Muhammad and his large family welcomed Baraka into their family (Stewart, 37). Earlier the preceding text discussed the mistreatment of slaves by the rich in Mecca. Muhammad s kindness is evident in the fact that his freed slaves wanted to remain in his household. Muhammad often sought out solitude in the hills of Mecca. During the month of Ramadan Muhammad would sometimes spend all of the days and nights in the peaceful solitude of the hills (Stewart, 39). It was on Mount Hira in Mecca that Muhammad experienced a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 7. Freedom Of Speech And The Right Of Bear Arms After 9/11, Netanyahu argued against regarding basic liberties such free speech and the right to bear arms as absolutes. In modern western society, we have rights, such as freedom of speech, and in some countries, the right to bear arms. In response to the 9/11 terrorist attacks, Netanyahu argues that these rights are not universal to everybody. We need to set limits as to how far these rights can take us and suspend these rights for some people, because not everybody deserves to be granted these rights. At times when we are under threat from terrorism, we need to reduce freedom of speech and the second amendment in order to protect ourselves. There are also people who do not deserve these rights at all, because they will use them in order to further the terrorists agenda. Freedom of speech will encourage people to convince others that terrorist acts are acceptable, and will further convince people to join terrorist organizations and participate in terrorist acts. Furthermore, Netanyahu believes that terrorism is something that should not be taken lightly. We must do everything in our power to prevent and fight terrorism, and reducing the levels of rights that we have is one of the measures that we have to take. It is not only what we should do in the country that we live in. Netanyahu believes that we should take a hardline approach to terrorism. Barlow and MГёller claim that complaints are not problems to be avoided but gifts to be welcomed. They also write that complaints are important for several reasons, including: You don t know how to improve your product or service if you don t know what s wrong. Customer complaints can give you ideas for new products and services. Complaints give you valuable information about what s important to people and what they re willing to spend money on. Complaints also tell you that the customer still wants to do business with you Most customers don t complain they just take their business elsewhere, because they ve given up hope of getting what they need from you. Complaining as a Process: Landon (1980) also argues that it is extremely useful to study the complaining process and that companies can benefit greatly from the process of endeavoring to understand the causes, types, motives, and style of consumer complaining. The author explains that the complaint process involves the consumer s evaluation of dissatisfaction and the choice to make the dissatisfaction known. The interaction between the consumer and the responsible party represents a process of confrontation and negotiation. Impact of Customer Complaints: General knowledge is that customers are more perceptive to losses than gains which means that worse than expected service is more damaging than better than expected service is beneficial (Rust et al. 1999). The Current Model Of Postnatal Care Provision The Current Model of Postnatal Care Provision Postnatal services in England are known as the Cinderella service of maternity care, with inadequate funding leading to a blackened area of care for women following childbirth (Bird, 2014; RCM, 2014). Furthermore, the National Maternity Review (2016) acknowledged these findings and proposed how an adequate level of service provision can be achieved, as getting the postnatal period right is crucial to future maternal and child well being. Furthermore, three of the four studies critiqued within this theme exploring how the current model of postnatal care that midwives provide to women and their families influences the quality of the perineal care that is provided, were all in agreement in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These findings are consistent with data provided by the RCM (2015), with only 32% of midwives being fully aware of the NICE (2006) postnatal care guideline. This demonstrates that these inconsistencies in care go further than just inadequate funding, but a clear lack of dissemination of research into practice. This, unfortunately, leads to a poorer quality of practice as some of the best evidence available is not informing clinical practice (Cluett, 2006; Ross, 2012; Guerrieri, 2012). Swain and Dahlen (2013) and East et al, (2012) used surveys to obtain data. Both studies explored the prevalence of perineal pain in the postnatal period, with Swain and Dahlen (2013) focusing on whether women s pain can be reduced following the implementation of an evidence based guideline focusing on the offering of regular pain relief. East et al, (2012) also investigated the pain relieving effects of analgesia. The use of surveys was appropriate as the data numerical data was collected (Babbie, 2010). An experimental design would have been ethically incorrect, and, consequently the findings of the surveys used only demonstrate associations and not causal relationships (Dyson and Norrie, 2013). The main characters being Makina and Chucho. Moralcriticism is used throughout Chapter 8, The Snake That Lies in Wait , in the scene with the police officer forcing the Hispanic man to write on the page, from a reader s point of view by moralityand ethical teachings. Moral criticism within literary criticism to judge literary works according to moral rather than formal principles, it is also concerned with the seriousness of a work rather than its purpose (Buchanan 326). Moral criticism is judging the text based off of moral teaching rather than on the beliefs of the text. I do not believe Irving is a misogynist, only that he may have been in a spoiled relationship. He mainly depicts the wife of the main characters as being rude or downright mean. Other women throughout his stories differ greatly from those who are directly involved with the main character. An argument can be made that he is, indeed, a misogynist. As a result of including at least one shrewish womanin his stories, he has been accused of misogyny. The novel A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens presents this all too real society, and the story of a group of brave and loving people who live in it. All throughout the novel, the symbolism of wine as blood is pushed upon us, starting out during a seemingly joyous occasion: a cask of wine is dropped outside of a wine shop and it breaks open allowing the impoverished to get wine out of the muddy puddles in the streets. This scene within itself seems oddly out of place in the story it doesn t really do much to introduce any characters, it isn t really important to the plot that this specific cart dropped wine, etc. however, this scene is no less violent than the beheadings and mobbs. You see, the real violence in this seemingly innocent scene is not in the actual events, but in the meaning behind it. A shrill sound of laughter and of amused voices voices of men, women, and children resounded in the street while this wine game lasted. There was little roughness in the sport, and much playfulness. There was a special companionship in it, an observable inclination on the part of everyone to join some other one, which led, especially among the luckier or lighter hearted, to frolicsome embraces, drinking of healths, shaking of hands, and even joining of hands and dancing, a dozen together. INTRODUCTION 1.1 Overall specific aims Dopamine (DA) and norepinephrine (NE) are the major catecholamines in the mammalian brain and play a critical role in the regulation of physiological and behavioral processes (Wise and Rompre 1989; Berridge and Waterhouse 2003; Aston Jones and Cohen 2005; Aragona et al. 2008; Weinshenker and Schroeder 2007; Owesson White et al. 2008). The primary source of NE in the brain, the locus coeruleus (LC), sends projections to both the ventral tegmental area (VTA), which terminates in the vicinity of DA cell bodies (Jones and Moore 1977; Mejias Aponte et al. 2009; Simon et al. 1979; Weinshenker and Schroeder 2007). The New World Of The United States More so than that, Huntington was writing during a time when the United States was the world s only military superpower which lead to the idea that America should take the lead in establishing the new world order , one which would be dominated by the United States and their allies. Because of this, American diplomats and officials were faced with regional, religious and ethnic conflicts that, as Huntington argues, could not be easily solved. During this time the United Stateswere making major decisions about the layout and status of the new world order. It becomes clear that Huntington would believe future conflicts would arise from cultural differences due to previous cultural clashes and that the most powerful country in the world, the United States, was also unable to create solutions for conflicts fueled by cultural differences. There are also smaller factors that could have had an impact on Huntington s outlook and thesis. In 1992 Patrick Buchanan was campaigning for the Republican presidential nomination when he warned that the country was undergoing the greatest invasion in its history, a migration of millions of illegal aliens a year from Mexico. An influx of immigrants, who bring their culture, customs and religion with them, could begin to create a clash in Huntington s own country. Living in a time when the political discourse revolves around anti immigration helps Huntington to argue that civilizations will clash along cultural lines. If immigrants with ... • 24. John Donne s Sonnet About Death John Donne s sonnet about death focuses on the popular opinion (then and now) of death and the process of dying. To Donne, death, a necessary passage to eternity, is pleasant and better than sleep, and many people give death more power and honor than he deserves. Because of its pleasure, Donne theorizes that deathreleases all pain and grief and is associated with only positive emotions. On the other hand, a rock song released in 2012 called The Fighter written by The Fraydiscusses the fear and pain associated with the experience of death. John Donnes tenth sonnet explores an attitude of death that people perceive it to be and what death really is according to ideas of Christian eternity and pleasure. These attitudes of death that Donne discusses in his sonnet oppose the attitudes of death in The Fray s song which portrays death as painful and frightening with affects of loneliness and despair. Donne s sonnet begins with an octet that addresses and describes Death as being incapable, pleasant, and powerless. To Donne, death is incapable of fully killing someone, for what death perceives as a person s end is only sleep in terms of Christianity. Sleep is a luxury and a necessity, so it follows that death is a luxury and a necessity in order to enter into eternal life (Chippchipp1). Donne admonishes death, telling it to not be proud or think that it has the power to kill someone, because if one holds to the Christian idea of eternity there is nothing to fear in death. ... • 27. Redistricting Essay Redistricting is defined within our textbook as the redrawing of Congressional and other legislative district lines following the census to accommodate population shifts and to keep districts as equal as possible in population. Redistricting occurs after a census has been completed every 10 years to maintain a more equitably distribution of fairness among minorities within each state but each state also retains the right to request to redraw district boundaries more frequently if then need should arise. Our study and its subsequent design ensure that the voters that who were moved into these districts are comparable to the voters that still remain within the existing districts. Redistricting also permits us to fittingly model the miscellany procedure. To guarantee the voters a sense of fairness and to fight against vote reduction and weakening, these regions are drawn concisely so that a margin of the voting age population within the newly drawn districts are minorities. The ruling stated that the local government or federal government was entitled to exercise eminent dominant rules to enable them acquire private propertyand utilize it for purposes of economic development. Eminent domainalso referred to as condemnation, is the act of taking private property and making it public property by the local governing authority, state, or federal government (Bradley 65). The private property taken away is converted to public property for public use. With reference to the case of the Kelo v. city of New London, the court ruled that the government should take private property through eminent domain for public use. This is due to the provisions of Fifth Amendment of the U.S constitution. New London, Connecticut, could exercise eminent domain for economic development. New London, Connecticut, was experiencing hard economic times majorly due to the closure of the U.S. Naval Undersea Warfare Center, which was the major employer in the region. This prompted a decrease in the tax base and population in general. This made the city leaders desperate for some development in the city s economy. It is a thin layer of cells found in the body like in the blood vessels, heart and coverings of organs. It regulates permeability of blood flow all around the body and maintain vascular homeostasis. If the body is not well taken care of due to stressful lifestyle and not taking proper meals, endothelial cells can be inflamed and damaged leading to key disease such as artherosclerosis, heart disease, diabetes, kidney disease and Alzheimer s disease. Atherosclerosis is a lipid storage disease where too much of lipid is deposited in endothelial of arteries causing narrowing to prevent blood to flow. It is triggered by daily diet of consuming highly saturated fat, hypertension and smoking. In healthy endothelial cells, leukocytes do not stick on to the endothelial cells. During early phases of inflammation in endothelial cells, the leukocytes attach to the arteries cell wall with the help of vascular cell adhesion 1 (VCAM 1) and penentrate into the endothelial layer. VCAM 1 binds monocytes and T lymphocytes, the types of leukocytes found in early atherosclerotic plaques. ( Libby P., 2006:456S) Atherosclerosis lesion is a foam cells whereby macrophages engulf lipid particles. The lesion secretes cytokines and growth factors to promote proliferation of smooth muscle. For the purpose of this assignment, I want to take a closer look at the roles the queen and her household were responsible for in the function of the palace and, in extension, the Empire. Comparatively, we know a lot more about the kings of the Neo Assyrian Empirethan we do about the queens. Although the sheer amount of tablets and steles are comparatively few in contrast with kings, there is greater significance in the select pieces of evidence of queenship that we do have. The better known of the two is the mother of Esarhaddon, NaqД« a, or ZakЕ«tu in Akkadian, who is probably one of the most famous women from the era. She is best known for her treaty of ZakЕ«tu in which she ascertained the loyalty of the empire to her grandson, Assurbanipal. There is debate over the reason why she was granted so much influence. Sarah Melville argues that she was purposefully given a bigger role to ensure the peaceful transition of kingship to her grandson. In contrast, Zafira Ben Barak has pointed out that she may have only been trying to ensure her social rank and assume any authority she could through possible manipulation. Nevertheless, NaqД« a is an example of a great point of intrigue in this topic because it is difficult to conclude whether she was an exception in the accepted tradition of the queenship or if there were more like her. Mexican born author, Octavio Paz, in his short story, My Life with the wave suggests the protagonist is symbolic and then remains a supernatural character best understood in literal terms. He supports his claim by showing the reader the speakers difficulty of finding a place for the wave out of the ocean, how the protagonist suffers imprisonment for a crime he did not commit, and of how through the death of the wave the protagonist is able to free himself from the pain and torment he faced when he was engaged in a relationship with the wave. • 36. Effects Of Water Pollution On India Pure Indian carp are among the most sought fish in the world, and an entire fishing market has been built around them for many centuries now. For the most part, they are only attainable from the Halda River, which is a large yet singular source of natural carp breeding based in Bangladesh, and all of South Asia has suffered its losses as of late to the tune of some 26 different fishspecies in general all wiped out in seven years time by water pollution. India has been suffering similar water pollution issues itself and has concluded that linking certain rivers may be the best way to deal with the problem; however, new research indicates that this will have adverse effects on Indian ecosystems. In Bangladesh, the construction of dikes and dams on either side of the Halda has contributed to the proliferation of water pollution. A sizeable contingent of that pollution stems from the infirmed biotic community in key areas. The river itself, mind you, is exceedingly long (98 km) with a rather aggressive tributary known as the Dhurung River that merges with Purba Dhalai some 48 km downstream. Halda stretches from the Badnatali Hill Ranges in the Chittagong Hill Tracts down through Fatikchhari upazila, Bhujppur Thana, Hathazari upazila, followed by Raozan and then Chandgaon Thana. It finally spills into the Karnaphuli River, and all of these mouths, so to speak, indicate to anyone who knows rivers that the Halda River is a fairly massive body of water feeding an intricate ... Any chemical thrown into the septic tank system can kill beneficial bacteria if too much is discarded into the tank. 7. Garbage disposals, water softeners and large amounts of water can t harm the system. The truth is that the garbage disposal content increases solid waste before it can decompose. Water softeners and high volumes of water only add to the amount of waste water that needs processing. Moderation is the key here. In this essay, Twain criticizes the major mistakes and rules which Cooper violates in writing his series, The Leatherstocking Tales. A large portion of the rules which Twain writes about can be found in Cooper s novel, The Last of the Mohicans. His self made rules are very encompassing of Cooper s literary flaws which can easily be pointed out through his novel. With Cooper violating these basic set of rules, he makes his novel seem very rushed and undeveloped as the rules which do not follow encompass very crucial criteria which not only these kinds of novels must have, but any novel must do. In his essay, Twain criticizes Cooper on his inability to develop characters or to even have them develop throughout the novel. Twain writes this is his essay when he writes, They require that the author shall make the reader feel a deep interest in the personages of his tale and in their fate; and that he shall make the reader love the good people in the tale and hate the bad ones. (Twain 2). Twain notes that there should be a definite distinction between protagonist and antagonist of the story. Then as the plants get eaten by consumers the glucose (which includes carbon) moves up the food chain. Along the way animals use that glucose for energy, as well as breathing out the carbon in the form of carbon dioxide. Animals and humans harness this energy by our cells that break down the glucose. This is a process called cellular respiration. We then release the carbon in the form of carbon dioxide back into the air by exhaling or eliminating waste.
