Paper Submission Categories
TODAES welcomes the following types of submissions:- Regular Research Papers: Research papers report recent significant research results that have not been published or under review elsewhere. See Manuscript Preparation below about specific requirements for extensions to conference papers.
- Keynotes: Keynote papers present the state-of-the-art advances, challenges, opportunities, and visions on specific topics, and are typically written by prominent researchers in the respective areas. Keynote submissions are by invitation only but will be reviewed.
- Surveys: A survey paper provides a comprehensive overview of a selected topical area. A survey article should organize and classify the existing literature, evaluate the trends and develop perspectives. A good survey paper shall have balanced coverage from different viewpoints. Interested authors should contact the EiC or the Senior Associated Editors before submitting a survey paper.
- Tutorials: Tutorial papers help readers to learn the basics of certain areas outside their specialties in an accessible way. Contributions are intended to be accessible to a broad audience, featuring clear exposition, a lively tutorial style, and pointers to the literature for further study. Interested authors should contact the EiC or the Senior Associated Editors before submitting a tutorial paper.
- Designer Notes: Design Notes are short articles (typically less than 15 pages) specifically for practitioners to share their hardware and/or software design experiences with current tools, design case studies, problem specific framework/tool flows, etc. Designer Notes are not required to contain innovative algorithms or methodologies but must present non-trivial design practices and insights.
TODAES also welcomes special issue proposals from leading researchers/practitioners. Such proposals should be sent as email to Joerg Henkel, Senior Associate Editor, at [email protected]. During the submission process, please make sure to select the right type for your manuscript to avoid unnecessary delays.
