DESCRIPCIÓN DEL CURSO

El curso de Inglés online B1 propone mejorar el conocimiento del idioma inglés mediante estrategias que permitan
a los estudiantes desenvolverse eficientemente en contextos y temas significativos para los estudiantes, integrando
enfoques y métodos variados que estimulan a los estudiantes a aprender más y mejor.

El currículo nacional optó por el Marco Común Europeo de Referencia para las lenguas (Common European
Framework, CEFR) como un referente para establecer estándares y descripciones con respecto al logro de las
habilidades. Esta plataforma interactiva está alineada con el Marco Común Europeo, por lo cual los estudiantes al
finalizar este curso, habrán cubierto los contenidos correspondientes al nivel B1 de este Marco en relación a as
habilidades receptivas (listening and reading).

ENFOQUE
El curso tiene un enfoque comunicativo y recurre a diversas estrategias para lograr la motivación de los estudiantes. Las habilidades
receptivas son el centro de atención y los alumnos podrán aplicarlas activamente si realizan las actividades propuestas. Los temas son
cercanos y se presentan en situaciones de la vida cotidiana con un toque de humor que contribuye a que el estudiante continúe
perseverando en su aprendizaje. Las actividades y tareas diseñadas son significativas, desafiantes y graduadas, entregando la
oportunidad de realizarlas varias veces y autocorregirse para alcanzar su logro. La gramática está implícita y en contexto, esperando que
el estudiante vaya incorporando las estructuras una vez que ha entendido completamente el texto y practicado los muchos y variados
ejercicios. Ante las dificultades gramaticales se proporciona una explicación clara en la sección correspondiente.

La innovación de este curso online, son los profesores virtuales que estarán a disposición del estudiante cuantas veces lo requiera en su proceso
de aprendizaje. Mr. Perfect para gramática, Miss Lexis para vocabulario, y Ms. Say it Right en pronunciación, lo acompañarán en su aprender.
Es importante destacar además, que un idioma se aprende junto con su cultura por lo tanto The Culture Corner contribuirá a reforzar el
aprendizaje dando notas interesantes respecto a diferencias y similitudes entre los dos idiomas y sus hablantes. A lo largo del curso, los
estudiantes completan tareas que activamente los envuelven en la utilización de estrategias de aprendizaje como la predicción, la
comparación con la lengua materna y la deducción, las que los ayudan a resolver problemas gramaticales de forma natural e inductiva.
Los estudiantes son motivados a utilizar las estructuras aprendidas durante as lecciones en situaciones personalmente relevantes.

La propuesta metodológica reconoce la importancia de la revisión, reciclaje de vocabulario y gramática constante y sistemática para los
estudiantes de idiomas extranjeros en la presencia de una variedad de actividades con dicho fin.

EVALUACIÓN
Al término de cada clase, el o la estudiante realiza una breve evaluación de selección múltiple en relación a los contenidos estudiados. El
porcentaje de aprobación es del 70%. Una vez aprobada, se puede continuar con la clase siguiente. Cada estudiante tiene tres intentos para
aprobar cada evaluación. En caso de reprobar por tercera vez, se deben repetir las clases cuyos contenidos no fueron aprobados. Una vez
hecho lo anterior, se puede volver a realizar la evaluación.

Una vez terminadas todas las clases del nivel, se debe realizar la evaluación final, la cual incluye contenidos de todas las clases del nivel. El
porcentaje de aprobación de la evaluación final es del 75%. Una vez aprobada la evaluación final, el alumno podrá descargar el certificado de
aprobación del nivel.
