‘Wotever Sex’ as part of ‘Hot August Fringe’ is five Tuesdays based on the well-known and celebrated platform of Bar Wotever. For this festival some of the smartest, sexiest and best queers, lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transfolk, lovers and people have been invited to help find or provide answers. The intention of this series of events is to inspire and attempt to nurture a shameless and guilt free appreciation of Wotever Sex is, has been and will be in the future.
Each Tuesday evening mixes performance, music, visuals and words intended not only as entertainment, but also as education – learning in and around contemporary social and cultural issues.
With the proliferation of hookup apps, cyber sex, sexting (sex-texting), self-made porn and sex spaces, our hypermodern world makes sexual gratification easy. A sexual liberation some might say, but the not quite instant, hyped-up-sex suggests micro relationships or moments of caught togetherness, where time becomes queered and performativity takes over.
In this space of potential, connectors connect, sensual impulses merge and lustful intentions intertwine, but what is at that point of connection? What does it look like? How does it feel, taste, smell? What happens when the connectors connect in unexpected ways?

What’s your name? Where do you live? Where do you come from? What do you do?
These questions are familiar common questions encountered in everyday life, but how important is it for us, and others, to know where one has come from and where one is going?
Spread over a series of six Thursday nights, in each show Hoyle collaborated with a different performer to explore a variety of topics, including queer performance artist Dickie Beau, burlesque comedian Fancy, and The London Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, SPI.
