The main inspiration has evolved from surrealism and film, while considering the philosophical concept of the beautiful and sublime. All the protagonists were shot in-camera with minimal (that is, only essential) retouching involved. As part of this in camera process, body painting, prosthetics, wigs, unusual 3D make-up techniques as well as real flowers were used in order to enhance and distort the bodies of the models. The book is addressed to anyone who is interested in the topic of character design (both in fashion and performativity), make-up / hair design, body hybridisation, aesthetics, and the philosophical approach to beauty and sublime within photography as a documentation tool, as well as a record of the extensive creative process.

Wotever World invites you to enter into that very space of connection. Over five consecutive weeks audience members will be given the opportunity to explore the relationship between sameness and difference, of desire and needs and to ultimately question how the growing into and shaping of our bodies provides a reading of who we really are.

‘Wotever Sex’ as part of ‘Hot August Fringe’ is five Tuesdays based on the well-known and celebrated platform of Bar Wotever. For this festival some of the smartest, sexiest and best queers, lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transfolk, lovers and people have been invited to help find or provide answers. The intention of this series of events is to inspire and attempt to nurture a shameless and guilt free appreciation of Wotever Sex is, has been and will be in the future.

Each Tuesday evening mixes performance, music, visuals and words intended not only as entertainment, but also as education – learning in and around contemporary social and cultural issues.

Sex. Doing it. Finding it. Needing it.

With the proliferation of hookup apps, cyber sex, sexting (sex-texting), self-made porn and sex spaces, our hypermodern world makes sexual gratification easy. A sexual liberation some might say, but the not quite instant, hyped-up-sex suggests micro relationships or moments of caught togetherness, where time becomes queered and performativity takes over.

In this space of potential, connectors connect, sensual impulses merge and lustful intentions intertwine, but what is at that point of connection? What does it look like? How does it feel, taste, smell? What happens when the connectors connect in unexpected ways?

For ‘Performance 6’, the theme centres upon London; the city we call home. The curator, Andrew Markham, feels it important to open up debates where artists are free to discuss our ever- changing global village. He poses, for this exhibition, questions such as:

What’s your name? Where do you live? Where do you come from? What do you do?

These questions are familiar common questions encountered in everyday life, but how important is it for us, and others, to know where one has come from and where one is going?

Known widely as the in-your-face side of community-based activism, the London House of Common Sluts, SPI are excited to be supporting The Divine David. High on their agenda, apart from gin and furniture polish, is the mantra dedicated to " giving back " to their wider community as well as promoting a safer sex message. Working alongside Divine David offers a platform for these " nuns " on which to maintain a dialogue that discusses important issues that have not changed in the face of people and places changing. Above all, the SPI promote tolerance and acceptance and their world-mission is devoted to the promulgation of universal joy and the expiation of stigmatic guilt.
