Thanks to the accelerated worldwide literacy process and technical innovations in the printing field, the written press reached its maximum development potential at the turn of the twentieth century. Because of their widespread availability, magazines and newspapers were used by the time's elites to disseminate new knowledge and technical innovations. Considering these aspects of the press, this study traces the thematic evolution of the educational and informational articles published by the most influential magazines and newspapers of the Romanians in the Austro-Hungarian Empire from 1867 to 1914. Significant personalities wrote the selected periodicals of the Romanians from Transylvania, where most Romanians lived during the Dual Monarchy. They were also appreciated by the Romanians who lived in the Kingdom of Romania. Hence, they generated fruitful debates of ideas that helped to develop the various Romanian cultures, societies, politics and economies. This study, which focused on the comparative analysis of the messages conveyed in the articles, found that newspapers and magazines had similar educational messages despite having diverse purposes. The dissemination of general information was approached differently by the two types of studied press. Based on this first comparative analysis of the most representative publications of Romanians from Transylvania, I conclude that their editors put forth well-thought-out educational messages, and the informational articles had the same characteristics as the European press of the period.

Personalities‟ funerals benefited from media and symbolic rituals, which were negotiated between the political
and cultural actors during the interwar period in Sibiu. In that context, press was a major space of
communication. It is obvious that even the indirect participation of the press was a form of repetitio, an
unconsecrated ars moriendi. We have analysed in this text the presentation of some case studies specific for the
way in which press and memorial speeches, within the Romanian and Saxon elite background, played an
essential role during the funeral ceremonies.

The present research aims to analyse some information related to the reports of the Romanian political press in Transylvania during 19001918, focusing on a case study based on the analysis of periodicals published in Arad Tribuna poporului/Tribuna (18971912) and Românul (19111938). The study is divided in two parts, in the first I dealt with the political information and in the second with the information related to the coexistence of Romanians with the Transylvanian Saxons. On both sides I tried to capture the differences of opinion, but also the attempts to collaboration between Saxons and Romanians. I focused on the information dedicated to the parliamentary and local elections and political attitudes, the way in which Romanians and Saxons coexisted, as well as on the aspects related to customs, social and educational behaviors. The analysis was based on the articles published by the two periodicals studied and on the specialized bibliography.

In the present study, we wanted to capture the evolution of the topics approached by the newspapers published for peasants [Books of the Romanian peasant], in the 11 years of its existence. The periodical was issued in 1876, in Gherla, and was edited by Nicolae Fekete Negru iu, and in the last year of its publication it was led by Ion Pop-Reteganul. It addressed, above all, the Romanian inhabitants of the rural area of Transylvania, addressing topics of interest to them in an attempt to bring improvements in their daily lives. According to the topics presented in the published articles, I classified the analysis based on educational, agricultural, literal, political contributions and various news. The categories described above covered the entire range of editorial approaches of the studied periodical. The editorial change or continuity was also treated during the 11 years of incessant appearance. The research was based on the analysis of the periodical and on the existing bibliographic sources.

The present study aims to analyse how the 1926 elections were presented by the periodicals, both political and independent ones. The political and legislative framework in which the voters were consulted was significant for the interwar period, being for the first time when all the citizens of Great Romania voted on the same normative act. Our approach follows the way in which the press presented the unfolding of the event, from the announcement of the government's "crisis", the appointment of General Alexandru Averescu as President of the Council of Ministers, the presentation of electoral alliances, the evolution of the electoral campaign but also the reaction when finding out the results. The research was based on the analysis of the newspapers that appeared in 1926, such as the political ones, but also on the independent press. From the desire to compare the information transmitted by the press, I studied archived sources and specialized literature.
