    Abstract A reinforced concrete hollow core one-way slab is one of the types of slabs used widely around the world in residential and industrial buildings to take advantage of them Economic and thermal insulation as well as to reduce the self weight of the construction . The aim of the present study is to examine the structural behavior of the reinforced concrete hollow core one-way slabs  reduce failure using the normal concrete and fibrous concrete and then strengthened using carbon fiber(CFRP) This study include molding of ( 6) specimens differ in terms of the voids volume (Vv) , volumetric percentage of steel fibers ( ) , and then strengthened by using fibers of carbon , with the aim of rehabilitation by fibers, carbon polymer (CFRP) is to find out how efficient element structural when treated after the occurrence of the failure and the validity of its use in the event of a failure has occurred entirely or partly in the roof, and re- examined using the same method and conditions that were examined ceilings is affected through it, knowing that these ceilings have been addressed and strengthened in the same way , the results of the tests of the models that have been rehabilitated using carbon fiber (CFRP), compared with the same models before strengthening and examined reduce failure, increased very high susceptibility endurance extreme , with the increase ranging from (51.6% ) to ( 96.2% ), as has been observed decrease in deflection value of models after strengthening by (CFRP). It is concluded through this study the possibility of using its concrete hollow core one-way slab as a roofing system for buildings also proved the highly efficient for this slab after rehabilitation using carbon fiber (CFRP) .

    Scheduling technique plays a significant role in distributions of Resource Blocks (RBs) in LTE system. In order to ensure the LTE system operates efficiently, the scheduler needs a good trade-off between the overall cell throughput and the fairness to all the users' equipment (UEs) in its respective cell. Improving the overall cell throughput while maintaining its fairness level is very crucial in order to ensure all UEs have been served fairly and efficiently. The proposed scheduler technique, which is referred to as Fair Boundary (FB) Scheduler is shown to improve the overall cell throughput while maintaining a high level of fairness among UEs. Our simulation showed that the Fair Boundary Scheduler achieved up to 13 percent improvement in term of the overall cell throughput. Furthermore, our simulation results also showed that the proposed scheduler exhibited better fairness compared to the widely used Proportional Fair (PF) and Round Robin (RR) schedulers.

    In this paper, we study the secrecy performance of a communication scenario between a transmitter and a receiver nodes in the presence of a passive eavesdropper node. In order to degrade the eavesdropper capacity, a friendly jammer node is employed to generate jamming signal. The jamming signal interferes and confuses the eavesdropper node. This paper proposes a jamming power estimation technique to achieve secrecy performance requirements. In this paper, we utilize the relation between the jamming power and the probability of secrecy outage to derive a closed form expression of the jamming power estimation technique. Based on the results, the proposed estimation technique meets the secrecy performance requirements.

    Greenhouse gas emission (GHG) has become a serious threat to the environment due to emitting high CO2 concentration and thus depleting ozone layer. One of the potential mitigations is using carbon sequestration process by injecting CO2 back to underground. However, the stored CO2 has a potential to leakage from the storage through the wellbore, due to reaction of between supercritical CO2 and cement plug. The purpose of this research is to discover the potential of CO2 leakage from abandon well, by analyzing the reaction of CO2 with Portland cement and the effect of permeability, pressure, temperature and inflow velocity towards the reaction using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). The results show that for base case scenario, the penetration rate of CO2 in cement plug is 150 mm in 100 years. The sensitivity analysis shows that permeability, pressure, temperature and inflow velocity has impacts on the CO2 penetration.

    Long Term Evolution (LTE) packet scheduler is a key mechanism in the LTE traffic handling. It is mainly in charge of allocating physical resource blocks for the attached UEs. The main problem in LTE scheduler is to maximize the throughput while maintaining the fairness. The performance of scheduler is very critical, especially when many UEs are located at the cell edge. The new proposed scheduler can give better cell throughput performance and at the same time maintain the fairness. The findings from the performance results show an increased up to 16 percent of cell throughput compared to proportional fair (PF) scheduler. The result also shows that the fairness level is almost the same as the PF scheduler.

    The open nature of the wireless networks makes them vulnerable to the eavesdropper attacks. Cooperative relay transmission is a popular method to prevent the attacks of the illegal nodes. This research proposes a cooperative jamming protocol to enhance the physical layer in wireless cooperative networks, where the destination sends a jamming signal to the eavesdropper node to degrade its channel capacity. Simulations of the secrecy performance metrics in terms of the secrecy capacity and secrecy outage probability are presented and discussed to measure the security level of the proposed jamming protocol. In this paper, different channels namely Rician fading, Rayleigh fading, and Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) channels are investigated in the half-duplex two-way relaying system to obtain the maximum secrecy performance. Based on the results, the highest secrecy capacity is achieved by using the Rician fading channel for transmission from the source to the destination and using the Rayleigh channel as the jamming link to degrade the eavesdropper capacity.

    The open broadcast nature of the wireless networks makes it vulnerable to the eavesdropper attacks. The physical layer security (PLS) is a grown research field that exploits the characteristics of the physical wireless channel to prevent the eavesdropper interruptions and attacks. The use of the cooperative relay transmission is a method to approach the physical layer security. This paper studies the secrecy performance metrics of the half-duplex two-way multi-relaying technique. A cooperative jamming protocol is proposed to enhance the physical layer security, where the destination sends jamming signals to the eavesdropper node to degrade its channel capacity. However, the relays can act as a jammer and send jamming signals to the eavesdropper node. Moreover, Simulations of the performance metrics namely the secrecy capacity (Cs) and the secrecy outage probability (SOP) applied on the technique are presented and discussed to measure the secrecy level of the proposed technique compared with an existing technique namely half-duplex one-way multi-relaying technique. Based on simulations and discussions the proposed technique outperforms the existing technique in term of secrecy performance.

    Chimney is an important part of the industries to remove waste heat from the processes side to the atmosphere. The increased demand of energy helps to restart to think about the efficiency of chimney as well as to find out a valid option to replace forced draft chimney system from industries. In this study natural draft chimney model is air flow rate; exit air temperature and pressure losses are studied through modification with wire mesh screen and compare the results with without wire mesh screen chimney model. The heat load is varies from 0.1 kW to 1kW and three different wire mesh screens that have pore size 0.15 mm2, 0.40 mm2 and 4.0 mm2 respectively are used. The experimental results show that natural draft chimney model with wire mesh screens significantly restored the flow losses compared to the system without wire mesh screen. The natural draft chimney model with 0.40 mm2 pore size wire mesh screen can minimize the draft losses better than others and able to enhance velocity about 54 % exit air temperature about 41% and pressure loss decreased by about 20%. Therefore, it can be decided that the wire mesh screens significantly minimize the draft losses in the natural draft chimney and 0.40 mm2 pore size screen will be a suitable option

    The aim of study is to analysis secondary science teachers’ perception on STEM learning for sustainable development (STEM for SD). Data collected by online questionnaires instrument with 96 teachers as respondent. The data analyzed descriptively. Research finding is 36,5% knowing the ESD and only 26% (low) knowing without misconception and accurate explanation about it. Only 19 % (low) science teacher ever to implement ESD in their schools’ program. School program on ESD such us renewable energy, waste management, environmental education, nature laboratory, and etc. The conclusion is science teacher perceptions increasing public understanding and awareness on ESD are still low. Because that teachers training program on ESD need to be implemented.

The strategic planning as an independent variable includes a group of four perspectives, namely environmental scanning, strategy formulation, strategy implementation, and strategy evaluation. The strategic performance as a dependent variable also includes a group of four perspectives: financial, customer, internal business process, and learning and growth. The sample of the study consists of the employees of 10 of all the 12 commercial banks in Bahrain. A questionnaire was developed to gather the data. Five questionnaires were distributed to each bank totaling 50 questionnaires.     413 Background: The impact of fractionated stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) on patient-reported quality of life (QOL) and physician-reported toxicity in patients with recurrent or locally advanced pancreatic cancer (PCA) was prospectively evaluated. Methods: Forty-two PCA patients were treated with 25-33 Gy using SBRT in 5 fractions on a single-institution study. Both patient- and physician-reported outcomes were evaluated prior to SBRT and 4-6 weeks post-SBRT. Eight outcomes were consistently evaluated among both groups—performance status, fatigue, pain, anorexia, nausea, vomiting, constipation, and diarrhea. Patient-reported QOL metrics were assessed using a 4-point Likert scale on the EORTC QLQ-C30 and QLQ-PAN26, while physician-reported toxicities were graded using the NCI CTCAE version 4.0.
