C. a mediados del siglo I d.C. ABSTRACT The works carried out in the Bolvax field have consisted of three archaeological actions between 2013 and 2016, where part of the base of the Roman Republican era wall has been excavated, which has a polygonal layout adapted to the topography. This wall, built with opus caemeticium, has several constructive elements such as a reinforcement and a channeling. Attached to this wall canvas, there have been found different structures that belong to terraced rooms that have shown two chronological phases: the first and oldest of the third century in the middle of II BC and the second from the middle of the first century BC to the middle of the 1st century AD. On the outside part of the wall, several materials of the XII century have appeared, this fact demonstrates a population continuity in the settlement.

The site is located on a gentle hill that dominates the fertile vega that extends to the north, counts on accessible water when being crossed by Arroyo de Mairena. It is an area with abundant water resources and land suitable for the development of agricultural work. The various interventions developed in this field since 2006 have made possible the exhumation of part of the thermal complex. In the process of excavating these structures a surprisingly low amount of ceramic material has been recovered, probably due to an orderly abandonment of the site. In the campaign of 2012 was recovered most of the repertoire, that includes a set of 247 fragments of terra sigillata. The majority (95%) correspond to Hispanic productions manufactured in the complexes of potters from Los Villares de Andújar (Jaén). The classic smooth forms Drag.15 / 17, Drag 27 and Hisp. 7 agglutinate the principal of the typological repertory registered for the moment between the levels of collapse of the building and the burial tombs of the Middle Ages. The decorated productions are represented by the classic Drag shapes. 29 and Drag. 37, also of isturgitana filiation. The Tritienses products are witnessed represented (4.5%) by the Drag forms. 29 and Drag. 51. The import materials (0.50%) are limited to Gallic sigillata of smooth forms Drag. 18 and Drag, 24/25. La Ontavia, due to its special geographical situation, could be defined as a rural establishment, fully linked to the reception and consumption of Hispanic sigillata land produced in Los Villares de Andújar. The materials found coincide with the palpable loss of quality in pastes, varnishes and typology.

The proper application of a method of protection and preventing impacts to Archaeological Heritag... more The proper application of a method of protection and preventing impacts to Archaeological Heritage, developed because of the installation of an electrical power line, has led to the discovery of the necropolis beside Cerro de las Cabezas (Valdepeñas, Ciudad Real). The location of the burial area of this great Iron Age oppidum was unknown until now. The fourteen graves documented during this brief intervention correspond to the cremations buried in urns, with goods associated as fusayola, fibulae, weapons and pottery. In this work is presented the ceramologic study of Tomb 1. This is the only one between the graves excavated which has imported pieces. The imported object is a plate of italian terra sigillata, dated between 15/40 AD and sealed in the factory of L. Titivs. Therefore it is an early burial of our era. The finding verifies than in these years persist in Oretania indigenous Iberian funerary rites, which occasionally used import Roman pottery. In contrast to last year's seminar, in which we focused on written sources, this time we will look at the contributions of archaeology; materiality, architecture and topography. The seminar will include the participation of internationally renowned researchers, who will present aspects related to their most recent research, always on the topic of the monastic phenomenon in the West between the 4th and 7th centuries. At the end of each session, we will hold a round table that will begin with the presentation of the doctoral thesis projects that are currently being carried out in different universities, at the proposal of the speakers and the organisation itself.
