Requirement Engineering is one of the most crucial tasks because it serves as the foundation for any software. Four pillars of requirement engineering procedures underpin the entire software. The bricks that make up the software edifice are functional and non-functional needs. Finally, design, implementation, and testing add stories to the foundation, allowing a full software tower to be built on top of it. As a result, the foundation must be strong enough to support the remainder of the software tower. Requirement engineers have various hurdles to design successful software for this purpose. Requirement Engineering (RE) is emerging as an increasingly important discipline to promote the development of web applications, as these are designed to meet various stakeholder requirements, additional functional, information, multimedia, and usability requirements compared to traditional software applications. The requirements of software systems are a very important area in software enginee...

Requirement Engineering is one of essential phase in software development life cycle. In the last few years many people know much about the success rate of Requirement Engineering in a project’s success. The agile approach will produce a high standard product in less budget and time. With the passage of time, consumers will be more appealing as their technology standards increase rapidly every day. Agile software development (ASD) is an iterative and gradual approach to development that relies on the participation of customers in the development process. So, we can conclude that organizations are still struggling with agile evolution and agile values, especially when it comes to user involvement. Although much research has been carried out on the role of requirement engineering in agile methodologies and practices, more studies are still needed. The aim of this research is to analyze and compare researchers ' work, which will help those who are interested in finding interesting ...

Purpose: The tool of speech or language assessment is required to be linguistically and culturally appropriate for the individual being tested. Testing in native language is essential if an audiologist or speech and language therapist wants to test the speech perception capacities of an individual and to use the data for further planning and monitoring of the therapeutic efforts. Numerous speech perception tests are available in different international and regional languages. But in Urdu language, no such tool is available to the clinicians to check the speech perception abilities of hearing impaired individuals. Therefore, this study was designed to: (1) estimating the frequency of occurrence of Urdu consonants; (2) developing a speech perception test in Urdu Language for children with hearing impairment; and (3) establishing the reliability and validity of the test. Methods: This study was carried out in three stages. In stage I, structural attributes of the test were planned. Dur...

The notion of using technology for learning is not new. However, the high level of digital exclusion of individuals with intellectual disabilities is well-documented. The purpose of this paper was to investigate the effect of two different pedagogies for students with intellectual disability (ID). The main objective was the comparison of assistive technology and the traditional teaching method for improving Urdu vocabulary. Using a quasi-experimental design, 8 ID students of 10 to 15 yearsof age were selected and divided into control and experimental groups. Their performance was measured before and after a six-week intervention program. The results showed that mobile-based technology improved the experimental group’s performance as compared to the control group. The technology had a positive impact on the learning of Urdu vocabulary by students with ID. The findings suggest that learning the Urdu language through game-based software/programs/utilities can improve students’ learning...

In Pakistan, life was running normally according to the yearly routine before the outburst of the novel COVID-19. The government had announced the closure of all educational institutes of Pakistan to avoid physical interaction due to the Pandemic outbreak. The scenario has caused the running routine to be traumatized because it pushed all the teaching to happen virtually. It was quite odd because it was a new dimension in Pakistan that needs many new skills to be imparted before its launch. Therefore, this study has been carried out to explore the teaching obstacles and to contemplate the opportunities for the future. The study examined various attributes of virtual teaching in special situations like COVID-19 in terms of pandemic impact, teaching satisfaction, workload, technical problems, mental health, readiness, collaboration, digital content, COVID-implications, and new opportunities. The questionnaire was used based on the Likert Scale. The digital form was generated and was d...

The recommendations available today in open literature for the choice of design parameter such as flow coefficient, stage loading and reaction degree incorporates mainly the influence of aerodynamics loss on efficiency. However, it is difficult to find the recommendation relating the influence of not only the aerodynamics loss but also cooling mass flow and cooling losses on varying most influential design parameters. In this paper, preliminary design and performance guidelines are presented for a cooled turbine stage using the 1D design tool LUAXT. The intention is to provide recommendations on the selection of design parameters, mainly reaction degree, which is found to be highly influenced by not only the aerodynamics loss but also the cooling mass flow and cooling loss such as in 1st stage of a High Pressure Turbines (HPT). The One-Dimensional (1D) design methods used to perform this task are verified and validated against experimental test data. A comparison of different loss m...

Overall theoretical performance analysis of gas turbines can be conducted by applying design parameters into several thermodynamic theories and equations. However, limited availability of the design parameters will not provide sufficient room for a detailed analysis. Gas turbine manufacturers publish only a limited amount of design/performance data, while important parameters remained hidden and the available information is not sufficiently enough for obtaining a complete gas turbine performance dataset. Five main parameters commonly provided by a gas turbine manufacturer’s catalogues; pressure ratio of the compressor, exhaust mass flow rate, exhaust temperature of flue gas, overall efficiency, and electrical output. A theoretical model developed based on Mathcad software as documented in literature is used to reveal other hidden gas turbine parameters. A similar theoretical model using another solver was developed to obtain a complete dataset by using the available catalogue data w...

We examine the impact of inward foreign direct investment (FDI) on the growth of local firms in terms of employment and total factor productivity (TFP) for the Slo - venian manufacturing sector in the 1994-2003 period. The theoretically predicted channels through which inward FDI affects the firm dynamics in a host country prove to be in general significant. First, there is evidence of the direct impact of foreign firms through so-called direct technology transfer as foreign-owned firms have higher growth of TFP compared to domestically-owned firms after control - ling for other determinants. Secondly, the entry of foreign firms stimulates the re - shuffling of the resources from less to more efficient local firms. The firm selection process is, namely, characterised by the least efficient firms experiencing a drop in their employment growth upon a foreign firm's entry. Thirdly, regarding the pro - ductivity spillover effects from foreign to local firms we provide indirect evid...
