    Grass carp fry (0.04±0.01 g avg wt; 1.48±0.03 cm total length) were stocked into an earthen pond in June. Every week for twelve weeks, fifteen fish were sacrificed and the content of their guts was examined. At the first week, animal material represented 74% of the gut contents. From the second week onwards, plant material was higher (mean value 79%). In the seventh week, when grass carp reached 4.83±0.09 cm, filamentous algae were replaced by macrophyte frag- ments. Besides the macrophytes, animal material such as the rotifers Monostyla and Lecane and the cladoceran Bosmina were found and the proportion of animal material in the gut varied 11-26%.

    Bu arastirmada Sakaryabasi-Bati Goleti'ne, ot sazani (Ctenopharyngodon idella Val.) 2 adet/100 m2 oraninda, ortalama 19,11±2,4 cm boyda ve 135,7±17,2 g agirlikta stoklanmis ve Mart-Kasim 2004 tarihleri arasinda su bitkileri, su kalitesi, plankton, klorofil a ve bentosa etkileri arastirilmistir. Kontrol amaciyla golete 7x7x2 m boyutunda bir ag kafes kurulmus ve icine balik stoklanmamistir. Su bitkisi ornekleri, kafes icinden ve disindan secilen 8 istasyondan, su ve plankton ornekleri ise kafes ici ve goletin en derin yerinde secilen iki istasyondan alinmistir. Bitki biyokutlesi, cozunmus oksijen, pH, toplam sertlik, amonyum azotu, nitrat azotu, nitrit azotu, toplam fosfor derisimi, fitoplankton sayisi, klorofil a, zooplankton ve bentik fauna bollugunun aylara ve istasyonlara gore degisimi istatistiki olarak onemli bulunmustur (p0,05). Arastirma suresince Bati Goleti'nde kafes icini Potamogeton pectinatus, Ceratophyllum submersum gibi bitki turleri tamamen kaplamis, kafes disinda ise ot sazaninin oncelikli tercih ettigi su bitkilerinden Lemna trisulca, Potamogeton pectinatus, Ceratophyllum demersum'a rastlanmazken, Cladophora sp., Zygnema sp. ve Spirogyra sp. gibi flamentoz algler mevcudiyetlerini devam ettirmislerdir. Bati Goleti'nde kafes icinde bitki biyokutlesi arastirma baslangicina gore yaklasik 7 kat artmistir. Kafes disinda ise bitki biyokutlesi arastirma suresince yaklasik 2,5 kat azalmistir. Fitoplankton sayisi ve klorofil a derisimi kafes icinde yuksek bulunurken, zooplankton ve bentik fauna bollugu kafes disinda daha yuksek olmustur. Bu durum, su bitkilerinin ot sazani tarafindan elimine edilmesinden ve fitoplankton, zooplankton ve bentik fauna topluluklarinin mevsimsel farkliliklari ve bunlar arasindaki kompleks iliskilerden kaynaklanmaktadir.

    The study was conducted between March 2017 and February 2018 to determine the effects various applications and environmental impacts on zooplankton composition in Sakaryabaşı-West Pond. Zooplankton samples were monthly collected with plankton net vertically and horizontally from two stations as triplicated. At the time of sampling, water temperature, dissolved oxygen, pH, electrical conductivity, water depth and light transparency were measured at the stations. Rotifera was the highest proportion in the pond during the study, followed by Copepoda and Cladocera, respectively. At this research, 11 families from Rotifera, 22 species from Cladocera, 1 family from Cladocera, 1 family from Copepoda. Proportionally most common species were Lepadella patella (6.38%), Mytilina ventralis (5.32%), Lecane lunaris (4.79%) from Rotifera; Alona rectangula (8.51%) from Cladocera.     Tuz Gölü’nde Artemia populasyonunun yok olma tehlikesi olduğu dönemde, bazı anyon ve katyonların düzeyinin ortaya konmasının amaçlandığı çalışma, Mart-Temmuz 2014 tarihleri arasında, gölün batısında bir, gölün doğusunda seçilen dört istasyonda yürütülmüştür. Araştırma süresince aylık olarak belirlenen bazı katyon (Sodyum-Na+, Magnezyum-Mg2+, Kalsiyum-Ca2+, Potasyum-K+) ve anyon (Klorür-Cl-, Sülfat-SO42-, Bikarbonat-HCO3-) ortalama değerleri arasındaki farklılıklar aylara ve istasyonlara göre istatistiki olarak önemli bulunmuştur (p<0,05). Tuz Gölü’nde baskın katyon Na+ olup, bunu sırasıyla, Mg2+, Ca2+, K+, anyonlardan ise Cl-baskın olup, sırasıyla, SO42-, HCO3- izlemiştir. Bu çalışmada gölün anyon ve katyon değerleri, geçmiş yıllarda belirlenen düzeye göre belirgin bir değişim göstermemiştir. Bu bağlamda, göldeki Artemia popülasyonunun kaybolmasında gölün fiziksel, kimyasal ve biyolojik açıdan uzun dönemli izlenmesi önem arz etmektedir.

    The effects of rainbow trout cage culture on water quality, phytoplankton, zooplankton and ben- thos were investigated in a cage farm of 30 ton capacity in Kesikköprü dam lake. Water tempera- ture did not differ among stations while dissolved oxygen and pH values were slightly lower in the station with cages. Significant and insignificant increases were detected in concentrations of ammonia, nitrate, orthophosphate and chlorophyll a in the cage station. Also, the abundance of phytoplankton, zooplankton and benthos was highest in the cage station. The composition of phy- toplankton was not fundamentally different among stations except for a higher abundance of Chlorophyceae and Cyanophyceae species in the cage station in November. The composition of zooplankton and benthos did not differ among stations; rotifers and gastropods were dominant, respectively.

    BSTRACT. The aim of the present research is to determine the different anthropogenic effects on the benthic macroinvertebrates communities with some physico-chemical parameters in the two brooks (Çağlayan and İkizdere) of the East Black Sea Region of Turkey. The study period is about one year and samples are collected seasonally from the upstreams to the down streams of the Brooks at least from the five stations of each. Macroinvertebrate samples are collected with a Surber sampler, sampling area of 0.09 m. Water temperature, dissolved oxygen, electrical conductivity and pH are measured in situ. According to the preliminary observations; the taxonomic list of benthic macroinvertebrate communities consist of the members of Tricoptera, Ephemeroptera, Diptera, Hemiptera, Plecoptera and Amphipoda orders at the two Brooks in the autumn and winter samplings.
