This paper focuses on the definition of two anarchist ideologies anarchism and anarchocapitalism, with aim of their subsequent inclusion among the theories of regional development. In addition to introducing the basic principles of social organization in space, the theoretical background and implications for regional policy are also mentioned. In the text, each of the anarchist movements is analyzed in terms of the functioning of the spatial organization of society. The following part discusses the importance of these ideologies for theories of regional development by dividing the basic characteristics of these ideologies according to Blažek and Uhlíř (2002). The conclusion describes the obstacles to the abstraction of regional concepts of anarchism and anarcho-capitalism and further identifies the probable reasons for the current marginal importance of the anarchist ideologies in regional development theories.

Political changes in democratic regimes (not only) in the Visegrad group countries are insufficiently reflected in theory of political science. This article attempts to overcome this deficiency by outlining a typology of democratic regimes. The proposed typology is inspired by John Law and Annemarie Moll’ social organization typology of reaction to crisis situations. Main indicators of the proposed typology are utopian discourses and mechanisms of their establishment.

This paper focuses on building a theory of collective singularity using the case of anti-racist collectives targeting the marginalized Roma minority in the Czech Republic. The collective singularity concept is one in which the values, norms, and practices that constitute a collective render it impossible for the group to transcend its own axioms in any manner other than by rejecting precisely these constitutive elements. The concept of anti-racism contains the trope of ‘the other’, perceived not only as an object of protection, integration, assistance, and interest, but also as an object under pressure to find its own (anti-)concept. Anti-racism oscillates around four dispositives (hysteria, paternalism, individualism, bionumerics) and finds itself unable to follow a radical pluralism with the potential to undermine the roots of the hegemonic discourse. As a result, the dispositives of anti-racism essentially become a ‘hidden’ form of disciplination, reproducing oppression and the impossibility of self-deconstruction.

The book with the title Politický systém a politické strany České republiky [Political System and Political Parties of the Czech Republic] works with basic notions of political science applied to the environment of the political and party system of the Czech Republic. The structure of the book corresponds to the two major thematic areas of the publication – the political system and the political parties.
The first part, starting with a definition of the concept of political system and its application in political science, includes a summary of facts of historical transformations of the political system existing in the territory of the Czech Lands from 1583 to the establishment of the independent Czech Republic, including the significant system inputs, features and specifics determining future political system formation. The following chapters are already devoted to the Czech Republic. First the constitutional institutions of the Czech Republic are introduced and their roles in the Czech political system are defined. Attention is further paid to a brief definition of the instruments used by the constitutional institutions for politics formulation and their potential to affect fundamental decision-making related to political system formation. The chapter on electoral systems and procedures brings an overview of historical development of the electoral mechanisms for the individual organs and their current characterisation. The following chapter on state administration and self-governing bodies and organised interests introduces further key players of the political system and their role in the political system of the Czech Republic.
The other thematic area focuses in detail on the history of the political and the party system in the period from the year 1993 to the end of 2018. This part introduces the basic development trends of the party system, through formation of the individual political parties and governmental coalitions since 1990s. As the political system is mainly formed by political parties, the main focus in on them. The author mainly describes development, ideological and personal anchoring of the individual relevant political parties, and their mutual relationships in the context of the political party system (governmental coalition) development. The analysed parties include OF (the Civic Forum), ODS (the Civic Democratic Party), ČSSD (the Czech Social Democratic Party), KDU-ČSL (the Czech Christian Democratic – People´s Party), SPR-RSČ (the Association for the Republic – the Republican Party of Czechoslovakia), ODA (the Civic Democratic Alliance), KSČM (the Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia), VV (the Public Affairs Party), SPD (the Liberty and Direct Democracy Party), ČPS (the Czech Pirates Party) and ANO (YES, Things Will Be Better Political Movement) 2011. A detailed analysis is devoted to election results in the years 2010, 2013 and 2017, bringing about qualitative and quantitative changes in the political mandates with regard to the proportional representations of the individual political parties. These elections brought significant changes, manifested in relation to the “traditional” political parties, recording significant drop of support and transfer of the electorate to “new” political movements.
The main aim of the book Political System and Political Parties of the Czech Republic is to introduce the history of politics on the level of the political system and political parties to students of the Mendel University in Brno. The text is by no means exhaustive, rather aiming at becoming an overview of basic concepts related to the phenomenon of the political system and the political party spirit in the Czech Republic.
