    The designs of highly scalable intelligent sensory application—Ethernet-based communication architectures—are moving toward the integration of a fault recovery and fault-detection algorithm on the automotive industry. In particular, each port on the same network interface card design is required to provide highly scalable and low-latency communication. In this article, we present a study of intelligent sensory application for the Ethernet-based communication architecture and performance of multi-port configuration which is mainly used in safety-enhanced application such as automotive, military, finance, and aerospace, in other words, safety-critical applications.     The image of a license plate is scanned by the camera attached to a mobile PDA device and the numbers on the plate are detected by the image processing parts in the proposed Mobile system. Then the numbers and the location of a mobile PDA device are encoded and transmitted along with the location information to a remote server through a wireless communication network. Finally, the server decodes the transmitted data as a text format and transmits it to the destination user. Consequently, this paper contributes a case study on the embedded system for designing of intelligent interface between a moving vehicle and a mobile PDA device, using a spatial relative distance scheme. The experimental results show that detection and tracking of a location of moving vehicle can be conducted efficiently with a mobile PDA device in real-time through wireless communication system and Internet.

    ABSTRACT One of the difficulties in the correlation-based stereo matching is the selection of window size, since there are two competing factors - perspective distortion and stereo matching error. This paper suggests a tool to tune the correlation window size in a given image domain by using photo-realistic simulation methodology. To facilitate the analysis proposed in this paper, we use photo-realistic simulation methodology to generate a pair of photo-realistic synthetic images of the terrain from a pre-acquired DEM(Digital Elevation Map) and ortho-image, which can be served as the pseudo ground truth. We performed D reconstruction on synthetic images of a natural terrain and carried out the evaluation of the correlation window on DEM accuracy. Experimental results are consistent with our strong expectation about two competing factors and show that our approach can be a useful tool to tune the window size.

    ABSTRACT This paper presents the prediction and analysis of a mobility model of people, in short mobility prediction for the mobile wireless network architecture as the essential part of future wireless market trends. To show a mobile connectivity and wireless connection in wireless mesh-network, we utilized urban mobility simulation time with prediction method, and also investigated a large number of mobility flows. We also highlight how to achieve high efficiency by using the neural prediction methods and modeling directly to the mobile wireless network architecture by a software tool and library. Major results of our experimental study demonstrate good scalability and usability of our prediction of mobility model by using a statistical comparison results, and trend of mobility usages.

    In recent times, many studies concerning surgical video analysis are being conducted due to its growing importance in many medical applications. In particular, it is very important to be able to recognize the current surgical phase because the phase information can be utilized in various ways both during and after surgery. This paper proposes an efficient phase recognition network, called MomentNet, for cholecystectomy endoscopic videos. Unlike LSTM-based network, MomentNet is based on a multi-stage temporal convolutional network. Besides, to improve the phase prediction accuracy, the proposed method adopts a new loss function to supplement the general cross entropy loss function. The new loss function significantly improves the performance of the phase recognition network by constraining un-desirable phase transition and preventing over-segmentation. Available light energy is insufficient for directly charging mobile phones and wearable devices, but it can supplement batteries to power some low-energy-consuming critical functions of the wearable device, especially in low-power consumption wearables. Moreover, the worldwide proportion of adults aged over 20 yr with a body-mass index (BMI) of 25 kg/m² or greater has increased between 1980 and 2013, from 28.8% (95% uncertainty interval 28.4-29.3) to 36.9% (36.3-37.4) in men and from 29.8% (29.3-30.2) to 38.0% (37.5-38.5) in women (1).

    Recently launched a communication standard, communication architecture for network protocol design technique, defined by International Electrotechnical Commission(IEC), the need is to implement communication interconnection network architecture with logical devices, it’s a challenging task. The choice of logical device is to attain the critical time requirement of data transmission for Protective Relaying of 3ms without complicating the real-time implementation, processing power and data interconnection requirement.     Background: We aimed to investigate the trends of interested and extra time spending activities in order to find potential correlation between computer-based activities (CBA) and healthy lifestyle (HLA). Methods: Information was adapted from the South Korea governmental open source database which gathered from official measurement statistical results. Various types of the interested and extra time spending activities were categorized into eight main activities based on the library research and expert comments. Moreover, two main categories of sports and outdoor activity (S&OA) were found to be attributed to HLA. Descriptive and analytical statistics analyses, besides correlation analysis were conducted; through Kolmogorov-Smirnov test for normalizing data and Fisher’s exact test for making the comparison.     Wireless network solution is used in many area because of free mobility and easy of establishment. Sensors that compose wireless network need protocol that support wireless communication to share information each other. As representative protocol, we currently witnessed IPv6 protocol. However, due to the limitation of sensors's electric power and computing ability, it is inefficient that each sensors use this protocol. In this paper, we designed improved sensor circuit that can heighten energy efficiency in sensor network to solve these problem and composed algorithm that can pare down energy consumption using method to make unnecessary sensor in sleep-mode.

    When attempting to apply a large-scale database that holds the behavioral intelligence training data of deep neural networks, the classification accuracy of the artificial intelligence algorithm needs to reflect the behavioral characteristics of the individual. When a change in behavior is recognized, that is, a feedback model based on a data connection model is applied, an analysis of time series data is performed by extracting feature vectors and interpolating data in a deep neural network to overcome the limitations of the existing statistical analysis. Using the results of the first feedback model as inputs to the deep neural network and, furthermore, as the input values of the second feedback model, and interpolating the behavioral intelligence data, that is, context awareness and lifelog data, including physical activities, involves applying the most appropriate conditions.     Abstract This paper describes the design process of the MEMS-based pressure sensor and analysis of circuit characteristics and parameters such as mechanical and electrical variation. Using the industry standard electrical and mechanical tools for design and analysis, in short duration low cost mechatronics equipment with improved accuracy and performance can be achieved. In this paper, piezoresistive material characteristics and theoretical signal conditioning analyses are also investigated for improving its performance. A newly proposed design technology for MEMS-based pressure sensors make a small circuit containing the electromagnetic component, transformer and analyzed for the said purpose.

    Robots are widely being used to replace humans and traditional machines in dangerous fields such as post-disaster relief work. The environments in which the robot system works in could be fixed or dynamic. Their nature can affect the performance of robots. This research focuses on realizing an intelligent locomotion method for a multi-mobile robots system in different types of environments. The significant challenges in the design and development of communication and interaction algorithms for robots with different functions to operate as a whole are addressed. Through the algorithms designed in this research, a multi-mobile robots system should be able to distinguish the types of obstacles it meets and take sensible actions to handle them. Furthermore, robots can interact with each other to guarantee that every robot in the system can move based on a desired route/plan. Emergency handling mechanisms are also added to the algorithm in order for the system to have coping behaviors to enhance its robustness. Additional evaluation of all the functions proposed will be carried out, by integrating a group of prototype wheeled robots into one single group.
