L’evenement pose la question du sens ou plutot de l’incertitude de sa signification. A partir de l’analyse des systemes de sens mobilises par les habitants d’une municipalite de l’altiplano du Guatemala, cet article a pour objectif de comprendre les mutations de l’intelligibilite suscitees par la tempete tropicale Stan et les representations qui font de cet evenement vecu un evenement construit. Les parcours migratoires, les trajectoires de scolarisation et les conversions a une Eglise pentecotiste peuvent etre consideres comme des strategies mises en œuvre par les acteurs pour prendre place dans le monde moderne en eradiquant entre autres, les croyances coutumieres. Mais le passage de Stan destabilise ces nouvelles certitudes et insuffle un vent d’inquietude : apres s’etre positionne en rupture face aux croyances ancestrales, l’evenement catastrophique inciterait a reconsiderer cette rupture.

Creation ex nihilo, la Cite nationale de l'histoire de l'immigration qui ouvre ses portes en octobre 2007 est une institution singuliere dans le paysage des musees francais. Ne disposant d’aucune collection prealable, elle initie ses acquisitions dans le domaine des beaux-arts et se dote d’une « collection ethnographique » en vue de la constitution de ses galeries permanentes. Participant d’une volonte de l’institution d’associer la « societe civile » a l’elaboration du patrimoine, sa collection ethnographique se developpe autour de l’archivage des temoignages lies a des parcours de vie. Comment l’idee d’une « collection ethnographique » a-t-elle emerge au sein d’une institution consacree a l’histoire de l’immigration ? Quelle place a-t-on accorde a la demarche ethnologique dans un processus de patrimonialisation initialement base sur une volonte de reconnaissance des memoires ? L’auteur revient sur la genese de cette collection du dernier ne des musees nationaux francais.

Elle investit la dimension spatiale de la production artistique et la dimension spatiale de la reception esthetique d'un objet d'art textile in situ outdoors. Elle met en oeuvre pour ce faire des references aux theories de l'action et une approche phenomenologique. En travaillant les articulations entre objet textile, objet d'art et oeuvre d'art, elle montre que la dimension spatiale de l'objet d'art, celle qui est donnee a l'experience, n'est pas pensable independamment de la dimension spatiale de l'oeuvre d'art, celle qui est construite dans l'action artistique. The Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) method has been extensively used to map shallow subsurface features. Such kind of information is very important for different types of studies, ranging from archaeological to groundwater search. Almost all GPR surveys for groundwater exploration are usually conducted in sedimentary terrains. In this paper, we demonstrate the applicability of the GPR method in the exploration of underground water in a crystalline terrain. An example of fixed offset data collected at one known spring in the district of Petrópolis (Brazil) is given. Common Mid Point (CMP) data were also collected to estimate the velocity of the radar waves. The saturated region is clearly outlined in the GPR section as a zone of attenuation and inversion of the wavelet phase polarity.

Many geo-location techniques predate and have been proposed as an alternative to GPS. Some of the more commonly used and exploited of these techniques are angle of arrival, time of arrival, frequency difference of arrival, and time difference of arrival (TDOA). This thesis is primarily focused on TDOA. These techniques are important for military applications. Location finding is a part of electronic warfare support, which is one of the main braches of electronic warfare. L'influence des non-linéarités de comportement des sols fins sur le calcul des ouvrages souterrains est analysé à travers deux exemples. Un modèle élastique de type hyperbolique et le modèle Cam-Clay modifié auquel est associée une loi élastique non linéaire ont été utilisés. Les principaux résultats de leur application au calcul d'un tunnel creusé dans un massif de sol marneux homogène mettent en évidence l'influence de la non-linéarité de la déformation sur la courbe de convergence du terrain.

An important and frequently used tool in archaeological spatial analysis is least-cost path (LCP) analysis to compute routes connecting a set of targets. The outcome depends on the cost model chosen and the topographic data used. A slope-dependent cost model requires a digital elevation model (DEM) that should reflect the landscape in the past. It is often impossible to reconstruct the past terrain, and modern high-resolution elevation data results in problematic storage requirements and computation times. This article presents a case study that explores issues in replication and stability of LCP calculations for pairs of targets that are close to known old trade routes. A large number of cost models is tested based on two topographic data sets, including DEMs of two different resolutions (25 m and 50 m). Pembuatan Peta RBI skala 1:5.000 membutuhkan waktu yang lama, khususnya untuk pembuatan layer kontur. Layer kontur bisa didapatkan dari data hasil ekstraksi foto udara dan data Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR). Sekarang ini, teknologi LiDAR lebih diandalkan untuk membuat Data Surface Model (DSM). Dari DSM dilakukan proses ekstrasi data untuk mendapatkan data Digital Terrain Model (DTM) atau Digital Elevation Model (DEM) yang prosesnya lebih cepat dan membutuhkan biaya yang relatif rendah. Metode filtering yang digunakan adalah metode Simple Morphological Filtering (SMRF) dengan memasukkan nilai parameter cell size, slope, windows, elevation threshold dan scalling factor. Hasil Cohen’s kappa rata-rata menunjukkan indikator DTM dalam kondisi baik, yang artinya dengan menggunakan metode SMRF, nilai kappa berada diantara 0,4-0,7.
