The subject of the research is international joint ventures realized in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (F BiH) until 2018, whose investment value is higher than KM 10 million (if there were more successive investments within the same legal entity, cumulative value is observed). Data were collected from January to July 2019. The survey covered all companies that were formed by joint ventures of domestic and foreign business partners in FBiH. The objectives of the paper are: to determine what are the internal and external problems encountered by the respondents in the implementation of international joint ventures in the FBiH; to determine the extent to which certain elements of the business environment represent a restriction on the realization of business processes of domestic and foreign partners involved in joint ventures.
