Social media marketing is a form of internet marketing that executes various social media networks to achieve marketing communication and branding goals.

This blockbuster won many social media accolades worldwide. The social media strategy for it was well planned for the right timing, buzz and effective engagement.

Film as a medium is considered to be an influential forum for depicting cultural practice representing myths about women and femininity. Ritwik Ghatak is the most celebrated cinematic auteur of Partition narratives traces the economic and political decline, the moral and ethical erosion and the broader process of social decay caused due to Partition. Most of his films have female protagonist and hence gives us the feminine perspective of Partition.
This paper seeks to examine Ghatak’s use of Indian myths and archetype to depict the moral and social degradation of the post independent Bengal, in “Meghe Dhaka Tara” and “Subarnarekha”. Through this paper the researcher has made a humble attempt to study the relevance of the mythological connotations used for the female characters. She has based her discussion on the information and insight drawn from the available literature and detailed study of the films and film techniques used by Ghatak. This throws light on the event of Partition and focuses on the various implications made by Ghatak as a film maker and also talks about the cinematic depiction of West Bengal partition.

Consider the Bhopal gas tragedy, the world's worst industrial and environmental disaster. Over 5 lakh people were exposed to Methyl isocyanate (MIC) gas and other chemicals following the gas leak in the Union Carbide pesticide plant on the night of December 2-3, 1984. The toxic substance made its way in and around the towns located near the plant.
However, it was not until 15 years from the event that it was cinematically depicted by a film maker to remind the world that the wounds have not healed yet; that the victims of the gas leak have not been cured, rehabilitated or compensated yet. Bhopal Express, a 1999 Hindi film directed by Mahesh Mathai, discusses this perilous event. A similar film titled Bhopal: a Prayer for Rain set amidst the real-life Bhopal disaster, directed by Ravi Kumar, received a market screening at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival on 16th May and 19th May.
