I am interested in investigating from an historical and analytical point of view the innovation of Scholastic philosophy with respect to the Classical one. I am also interested in the study of contemporary modal logic as a useful approach for understanding medieval philosophical theories. I dedicated my previous academic studies (BA, MA and PhD) to the analysis of medieval logic and physics, with special regard for the contribution of the Franciscan School (Bonaventure of Bagnoregio and John Duns Scotus).
I studied at the University of Calabria (Cosenza, Italy) where I earned my BA in 'History and Philosophy' (2008-2011) and MA in 'Philosophy of Language' (2011-2013). I am Honorary Fellow in 'History of Medieval, Late-Ancient and Early-Medieval Philosophy' (since May 2014) and in 'History of Ancient Philosophy' (since January 2015) at the University of Calabria. I was a visiting student at the Pontifical Institute of Mediaeval Studies (Toronto, Canada) from March to August 2015. I got my PhD in 'History of Medieval Philosophy' (February 2017) at the Pontifical Univeristy Antonianum (Rome, Italy) with a thesis about John Duns Scotus' logical and physical innovation.edit
