In the book, "The Courage to Decide," I've presented my intellectual journey through the theories of many philosophers. During this journey, I've contemplated and examines my life through the light of their ideas. This process has given me clarity about decision-making and its importance in our lives.
Through the courage to decide, we're able to experience freedom, novelty, and understanding. We're then able to orient ourselves to the future and change our vision into reality.
Through the courage to decide, we're able to transcend aging and the ravages of disease and replace them with psychological growth. We're then able to develop creativity and become more compassionate
Through the courage to decide, we create ourselves and the world around us. Simply put, the courage to decide is the ultimate act of creation.

18 kwietnia 2015 roku w Muzeum Sztuki Nowoczesnej w Warszawie odbyła się konferencja naukowa – I Otwarte Seminarium Filozoficzno-Psychiatryczne pt. „Psychiatria i filozofia w poszukiwaniu wspólnego języka". (...) I Otwarte Seminarium Filozoficzno-Psychiatryczne powstało na bazie 3-letniego seminarium uniwersyteckiego „Filozoficzne ujęcia doświadczenia”. (...) [W] Warszawie w latach 1865–1872 spotkania o podobnym charakterze odbywały się z inicjatywy Sekcji Chorób Nerwowych, Umysłowych i Medycyny Sądowej Warszawskiego Towarzystwa Lekarskiego. Ówczesne seminarium trwało tylko 7 lat i zakończyło się uznaniem chorób umysłowych za kwestię wyłącznie biologiczną, a zatem niepodatną na refleksję humanistyczną czy filozoficzną. Aktualne seminarium – zaplanowane jako wieloletni cykl konferencji - można rozumieć jako ponowne podjęcie tej zapoznanej tradycji i życzyć mu, by działało dłużej.

The term ‘information metabolism’ is one of the key concepts put forward by the great Polish psychiatrist Antoni Kępiński. In this biological-philosophical approach, the fundamental feature of life is the exchange of energy and information with the environment. The exchange of information, or information metabolism, is exceptionally well developed in a human being. Thanks to it, man is able to maintain contact, in the broad sense, with the external environment, and to experience the sense of the self. This concept of metabolism basically allows Kępiński to account for many psychopathological disorders like schizophrenia and depression. Some problems with schizophrenic and manic-depressive subject’s experience pertaining to temporal experiences are presented. Kępiński’s concept of “the rhythm of life” is explained in the context of contemporary philosophy of mind and the phenomenological tradition of psychopathology.

Gdyby Tischner lepiej znał zasady psychoterapii, a nie tylko aksjologiczne i epistemologiczne koncepcje psychiatryczne Kępińskiego, inną formę mogłoby mieć zakończenie dramatycznej historii życia Nieznajomej Kobiety opisanej na kartach Sporu o istnienie człowieka. Wspomniany list-wyznanie Nieznajomej Kobiety, Tischner przytacza jako egzemplifikację leibnizowskiej metafory monady z zatrzaśniętymi oknami. Na pytanie czy można je na nowo otworzyć, udziela negatywnej i na wskroś pesymistycznej odpowiedzi. Diagnoza Tischnera jest pozbawiona nadziei. Nie znajduje on bowiem takiej siły, która zdolna byłaby na nowo otworzyć zatrzaśnięte okna monady i przezwyciężyć egzystencjalny dramat Kobiety, której życie zdominował autodestrukcyjny schemat bycia-przeciw-sobie, stanowiący  ̶  jak się wydaje  ̶  utrwalony ślad dawnych bolesnych doświadczeń. Tischner, odwołując się do filozoficznej koncepcji substytucji Lévinasa, próbuje ów dramat zatrzaśniętych okien monady przezwyciężyć poprzez uwznioślającą teologizację egzystencji człowieka. Jest to propozycja podjęcia cierpienia na sposób mesjański. Moim zdaniem jest ona chybiona i nieskuteczna. Nadzieję na ponowne otwarcie okien monady i uleczenie tragicznej historii życia Nieznajomej Kobiety mogą przynieść uzdrawiające spotkanie i relacja, jako doświadczenia korektywne dostępne właśnie na drodze psychoterapii.

In his book The Controversy Over the Existence of Man, Tischner cites a letter from a “Stranger Woman”. It provides a metaphor for a closed monad, incapable of a profound encounter. Tischner asks: can the windows of this monad be opened? He gives a negative answer. His diagnosis is devoid of hope for the recovery of man’s inner freedom. In my opinion, the only hope for reopening the windows of the monad and healing the tragic life story of the “Stranger Woman” can come from a psychotherapy. Tischner’s anthropological perspective seems to be insufficient and unsatisfactory. The inclusion of a psychotherapeutic perspective is justified by the kinship between Tischner’s philosophy and Kępiński’s humanistic-existential psychiatry.

The story of co-existence is a story of two shores. On one shore
we help the Other, breaching our own rules and limitations.
We prepare legal and systematic tools. On the other shore,
though, these are not enough. The challenge there comes not
only from the others but also increasingly from those who
have not been included in the process of society’s opening up
to the world, and instead have become more radical, enforcing
the borders of their national and cultural identities.

Szaleństwo psychoza, obłęd: czy są tylko synonimami choroby psychicznej? Być może podobne określenia ukazują ludzkie „stany duszy”. Czy osoba mająca halucynacje, może doświadczać przeżyć duchowych, czy też także one są w jakimś sensie urojone?

Ksiazka ta jest moja intelektualna podroza poprzez wiele filozoficznych podejsc do procesu decyzyjnego. Przez zastosowanie tych idei, bylam w stanie przeegzaminowc wlasne decyzje i zrozumiec ich wplyw na moje zycie.
Mam nadzije, ze praca moja zainspiruje innych do glebszej refleksji nad wlasnym zyciem i zastanowieniem sie nad rola decyzji w przebiegu ich zycia.

Obcowanie mówi nam o naszej – w sensie naszej krwi, narodowości czy kultury – niewystarczalności w zawiązywaniu wspólnoty. W rdzeniu tego słowa znajduje się Obca/Obcy. To dość niezwykłe. Oczekiwalibyśmy raczej odniesienia do tego, co wspólne, tak jak w przypadku słów wywodzących się od łacińskiego communio. Szukając dla niego odpowiednika w europejskiej tradycji moglibyśmy powiedzieć: ksenopolis, ale tylko wówczas, kiedy rozumielibyśmy pod tym pojęciem nie społeczność przyjazną innemu, ale taką, którą ksenos konstytuuje.
