En este artículo se describe la documentación que registra la trayectoria artística de Eduardo Gustavo Bergara Leumann. Se trata de documentos organizados en 6 secciones que retratan a través de varias series y
subseries distintas facetas de su vida.

Resumen: El presente artículo propone visualizar el quantum de los egresados en archivología en el Uruguay para el período 1985-2015 y su detalle según: año de egreso, plan de estudio, sexo y sede académica. El estudio incluye presentaciones con tablas y gráficos, así como también análisis y comentarios de las características de los egresos de una carrera universitaria con más de treinta años de trayectoria.

"Archival Science graduates in Uruguay 1985-2015: Thirty years after… ¿How many are we?"
Abstract: The present article proposes to visualize the quantity of the Archival Science University graduates in Uruguay for the period 1985-2015, and its details depending on: graduation years, curricula, sex and seat of university. The study includes tables and graphic presentations, as well as the analysis and comments about the characteristics of the University graduates of a degree with more thirty years of academic career.

The Beginnings of the Archivistics in the Territory Between Prut and Nistru: The Gubernatorial Scientific Commission of Bessarabia Archives, 1898-1923

This article analyzes a large corpus of the Greek language attested during the post-Byzantine and modern Greek phase shift. The compact shape of the corpus is due to the existence of the archival fond “The Greek Merchants’ Company of Sibiu (1453-1895)” which, cumulating the correspondence of several Greek commercial houses, firms and individual merchants, synthesizes exponentially the typology, the rhetoric and the historical information present in a series of commercial archives (see Bibliography, A. Sources) that still maintain their unexplored source value. Aside from the economic realia, the Greek corpus reproduces the authentic speech of a group constituted as a distinct ethnic community, solidarized in forums that have provided monopoly and a remarkable influence in the Euro-Balkanic area. The linguistic assessment of the documents’ stock brings new results for the history of the Greek language (variety “Romeika”) of the XVII – XIX centuries period, during which it was under the pressure of migration phenomenon and the influencing factors occurred by the transplantation of the code in other lands than the original ones, particularly Romanian. The scientific instruments made available by the interdisciplinary extent of linguistics – the analysis is divided into folowing levels: 1. The ethnic identity of issuers from the historiographical perspective, 2. Decanting variety “Romeika” through the aloglot permissiveness perspective of the Greek language and the “γλωσσικό ζήτημα” polemic; diglossia aspects of the variety “Romeika” in commercial archives, 3. Balkanic multilingualism and contamination of the Greek variety in circulation; treatment of the aloglot interferences occured in the Greek language of the documents and 4. Traductology technique for archival processing – draw a veritable fresco of the targeted socio-professional group, with digressions into socio-historical macro-contexts determining for the linguistic strategies that its members use. The dynamic linguistic, historical and palaeographic revelation of the commercial corporations offers new interpretation criteria for the cultural and material consistencies and dissociations activated in Euro-Balcanic region by the Latin-Greek gene, recte the Aromanian one, and also for the interpretation of the decisive influence of mentality in the Romanian space by the insertion of the “Greek” merchants in this landscape.

En este libro investigo el modo en que el archivo burocrático le dio forma a la práctica artística en el siglo XX, del montaje dadaísta a la instalación finisecular. Más específicamente, propongo que el uso de archivos en el arte de fines del siglo XX reacciona en una variedad de formas al asalto de las vanguardias de los inicios de esa centuria contra la objetivización (y fetichización) del tiempo lineal y el proceso histórico. A lo largo del ensayo espero hallar respuestas tentativas a algunas interrogantes formuladas por Allan Sekula en el ensayo “El cuerpo y el archivo”: “¿Hasta qué grado la práctica modernista autorreflexiva se acomodó al
modelo del archivo? ¿Hasta qué grado los modernistas, consciente o inconscientemente, resisten o subvierten el modelo del archivo?”1. Al archivo al que hace referencia Sekula se lo percibe como una clave del sueño moderno del control total de la abarcadora disciplina administrativa; es decir, como un gigante archivero en el centro de una realidad fundada en una racionalidad ordenada. Espero, entre otras cosas, revelar una alternativa a esta noción dominante; alternativa que
exponga el lado irracional de la conexión archivística de la modernidad y que le dé a esta su necesaria tracción histórica.

Inadequate archival treatment applied to the fonds of trading houses attested throughout the medieval and early modern Romanian space ‒ not by chance, the only compact commercial archives preserved are those belonging exclusively to “Greek” (videlicet Aromanian) economic entities ‒ places in an obscurity area details and contexts relevant for the transit trade in Euro-Balkan expanse. Methodological aspects become more strident if the disinterest (emerging from preconception of accounting writings' aridity), and especially the degree of incomprehensivity (induced by palaeographic difficulties, also by the Romeika linguistic variant) are added ‒ these beeing the reasons why Romanian medieval studies do not approach the problematics of the “Greek” trading houses' archival categories in a congealed manner.   
In consequence, intending to properly compensate for some important archivists' and historiography's malpractice and gaps, my research undertakes the endeavor of archival-palaeographic redress. My perspective has been coordinated by a series of antithesis (between antroponyms ‒ chrematonyms, personal ‒ commercial archives, individuals ‒ entities, private property ‒ public domain), and, also, by the medieval normative system which, being interested in creating, keeping updated and preserving business documents and registers, has generated such archives. 
My paper expound synthetic linguistic considerations on the primary tool able to facilitate the access to the meanings of these “Greek” fonds, namely the language of documents. My overall optics upon all the trading houses' fonds was based on empirical and theoretical perceptions of archival processing methodologies; the medieval juridical filter that I have acquired recoded the problematics of appropriately naming economic entities and, correlated to this issue, the problematics of appropriately naming and exploring trading houses' archives. I also pinpointed the essential clues for recognizing the archival typologies (construction both of firms' names and professional associations' types, functionality of trade marks), proven as significant in the field. My analysis comprises complete descriptions of thematic, typological and formal structures incorporated into commercial archival contents, according to their traditional usage or juridical regime. In order to emphasize and, in the same time, to serve as evidence, the two annexes present in a recomposing and illustratively rubricated manner the trade houses' fonds stored by the Central Historical Service of National Archives, on the one hand, and some visual samples of prominent merchant associations marks and signatures, on the other.

Using the “Greek” (videlicet Aromanian) trading houses' archives as a paradigmatic sample, this paper advocates for the proper physical organisation of the archival material specific to old microeconomic entities, and for exorcising the traps set by collections.
In order to dismantle the resistances that dictate maintaining these archives in a deficient statu quo, from the perspective of both scientific valorisation (constrained by the graeca non leguntur palaeographic obstacle) and archival treatment (marked by the antagonistic pairs: trading houses versus personal/family archival fonds, accounting books versus manuscripts, archival fonds versus collections), the paper presents the current state of the art and the archival research methodologies (which are not spared, in their turn, from vicious touches), along with successfully employed or failed archival steps, objectives, methods, principles, and remedies.
The virtual documentary reassembly ‒ a solution that is useful for research, albeit a compromise one ‒ is displayed in the “Annexes”, by relocating the accounting books into their matrix-fonds and coalescing the series of archives of the Euro-Balkan trading houses that operated in the Romanian territories during the XVIIth ‒ XIXth centuries.

Fondul familial „Demetriade” reface plenar istoricul comunității artistice de la sfârșitul secolului al XIX-lea – primele decenii ale secolului al XX-lea, focalizând familiile înrudite Demetriade ‒ Soreanu ‒ Verulescu, precum și numeroase alte cupluri artistice care gravitează în jurul acestora (Mărculescu, Sturdza-Bulandra, Macri-Eftimiu) și o seamă de personalități marcante ale teatrului și dramaturgiei (Victor Eftimiu, Ion Marin Sadoveanu, Liviu Rebreanu, I.L. Caragiale), ale traductologiei și criticii literare românești. În centrul acestei comunități se plasează viața și opera actorului Aristide Demetriade și cele ale soției și partenerei de scenă, Constanța Gănescu-Demetriade. Fiica lor adoptivă, pictorița Tanți Demetriade-Ștefan, precum și Dora (n. Gănescu, sora Constanței) și Nicolae Soreanu completează seria artiștilor într-o deplină imagine de familie.

Ceterum censeo… The Archival Russian-Romanian Relations from 1990 to 2014

This study uses the considerable documentary evidence recorded in the National Archives of Romania regarding the efforts of Romanian officials during the early 1990’s to reinitiate the institutional collaboration with the Federal Archival Agency of the Russian Federation (ROSARHIV). Premising that no other neighbouring country holds as many Romanian vestiges as the archives, libraries and museums in Russia, my research endeavours gradually unveil the relations established during the past quarter century between the National Archives of Romania and ROSARHIV, placing them in the sinuous context of the political affairs conducted by the two countries.
The dialogue between the Romanian and Russian archivists had an auspicious start in the first years of the pro-Soviet regime of the National Salvation Front, in unison with the democratization and openness displayed by the Soviet state/Russian Federation. The impetuous dynamics of the bilateral contacts in 1990-1991 had an impact on the archival field as well.
The political connections got increasingly complicated, concurrently with the strengthening of the conservative forces in Moscow and with the aligning of the Romanian strategy to NATO and EU, the result being the archival restriction. Old and sensitive matters have been redisclosed: the nonratification of the Romanian-Soviet Treaty from April 1991, the situation in the Republic of Moldova, the issue of the Romanian treasure evacuated to Moscow, the condemnation of the Ribbentrop-Molotov Pact, archives retrocessions. Linguistic barriers, prejudices, reluctance and fluctuations of the Archives decisional factors obstructed the expected evolution of the relations between the archivists' forums, making necessary the unlocking of the interinstitutional communication, frozen since 2002.

It sought to analyze the perceptions of archivist professionals about the creation of a Professional Archivology Council at the national level. Regarding the methodological procedures, the following steps are distinguished: 1) Survey of bibliographic literature; 2) Documentary research on Class Councils; 3) Development and application of a questionnaire with the purpose of knowing the perceptions of Archivists on the subject. After electronic submissions, 43 questionnaires were answered; 4) Analysis of the information obtained in the questionnaire. As main results, it was noticed that: 95.3% of the interviewees are in favor of a Professional Council of Archivology, while 4.7% do not have an opinion on the subject. Among the main positive points for the creation of a Council, the following stood out: preventing the illegal exercise of the profession; and have a political representation of the class. Regarding the negatives, the following stood out: the possibility of a low rate of association, given the low number of trained professionals; and pay annuity and charges.

This paper discusses about elaboration of works and musical sources catalogs in Brazil,
through the cataloging process Heinz Geyer works, German musician settled in Brazil in the 20th
century. A bibliographical review and partial results of the cataloging experience are presented,
based on Spanish and German authors, that exposes the necessity to expand the methodological
and conceptual discussion of this practice in the scientific community.

Em 12 de julho de 2014, Alexandre Marcos Lourenço Barbosa lançou a proposta de criação de um Museu da Música do Vale do Paraíba (MMVP), durante as discussões da sessão de encerramento do XXVIII Simpósio de História do Vale do Paraíba, promovido em Cunha pelo Instituto de Estudos Valeparaibanos (IEV), cujo tema era, justamente, “Música no Vale do Paraíba”. A ideia nasceu da necessidade de uma instituição que pudesse tratar, custodiar, conservar e viabilizar a pesquisa de arquivos e coleções musicais do Vale do Paraíba ou a ele relacionados, além de centralizar informações, bibliografia, catálogos e bancos de dados sobre acervos musicais de outras regiões brasileiras, porém relacionados à história e à prática musical do Vale do Paraíba, desde o século XVIII ao presente. Participaram, no entanto, dessa proposta de criação do Museu da Música do Vale do Paraíba alguns outros fatos importantes ocorridos a partir desse ano de 2014, especialmente o reencontro, em Pindamonhangaba, do arquivo musical de João Antônio Romão (1878-1972), a criação do Laboratório de Conservação, Arquivologia e Edição Musical da UNESP (Labor Carmine) em 15 de dezembro de 2014, e a atuação do Núcleo de Musicologia Social do Instituto de Artes da UNESP (NOMOS) - responsável pela criação do Labor Carmine - no tratamento do arquivo musical da família Lorena, da cidade de Aparecida, constituído de obras de Raldolpho José Lorena (1843-1913), José Raldolpho Lorena (1876-1961), Maria Annunciação Lorena Barbosa (1907-1996) e outros. O Labor Carmine, fundado no campus de São Paulo da UNESP, será instalado, estruturado e equipado durante todo o ano de 2015, mas os pesquisadores nele envolvidos já estão trabalhando no arquivo musical de João Antônio Romão, com a colaboração da família Romão em Pindamonhangaba, e no arquivo musical da família Lorena, em Aparecida. O objetivo do Labor Carmine é receber provisoriamente e tratar (em São Paulo ou em suas cidades de origem, dependendo de cada situação) arquivos e coleções musicais históricas (o que inclui sua higienização e desinfecção, organização, arranjo físico, acondicionamento, catalogação e digitalização) para devolve-los em segurança às suas instituições custodiadoras, ou mesmo para intermediar sua doação ou transferência para instituições do gênero, quando for o caso. Por essa razão, o jornal O Lince e o Labor Carmine uniram-se, em fins de 2014, juntamente com outros colegas de Aparecida, para estudar as bases de criação do Museu da Música do Vale do Paraíba nesta mesma cidade, que já se encontra virtualmente em funcionamento, por meio do tratamento dos referidos arquivos musicais.

A Engenharia de Documentos é uma disciplina da Ciência da Computação que investiga os documentos em meio eletrônico. O objetivo deste artigo consiste em comparar e articular os diferentes enfoques da Engenharia de Documentos, Arquivologia, Diplomática Digital e Ciência da Informação sobre documentos e informações. A metodologia utilizada é a pesquisa documental da literatura que inclui a Diplomática Digital, a Tipologia Documental e as funções arquivísticas de Criação e Descrição. Como resultado foi identificado a proximidade entre os conceitos sobre documentos utilizados pelas diferentes
áreas de conhecimento e a concepção do documento a partir de processos de negócio ou conjuntos documentais. As principais diferenças residiram na falta de equivalência dos conceitos de espécie e tipos documentais utilizados pela Arquivologia; na lacuna do tratamento de questões de autenticidade de documentos nato-digitais objeto da Diplomática Digital.

The Engineering of Documents is a Computer Science discipline that
investigates the electronic documents. The present article consists of comparing and articulating the diverse information by the Engineering of Documents, Archivology, Digital Diplomatics and Information Science about documents and information. The methodology used is the documentary research of the literature that includes Digital Diplomatics, Documentary Typology and the archival characteristics of Creation and Description. The results were findings similarity between the document concepts used by the different areas of knowledge and the document conception from business processes or documentary sets. The
main differences were: the lack of equivalence between the concepts of type and use of Archivology; the lack of treatment of issues of authenticity of anatomical documents of the Digital Diplomatics.

El artículo analiza la situación actual de los archivos en Uruguay en relación
a las leyes de Acceso a la Información Pública y de Sistema Nacional de Archivos,
normativas que surge cuando el Estado uruguayo inicia una fase de reordenación de su gestión promoviendo cambios que fomentan la democratización y la eficiencia, a la vez que anulan la opacidad y extrema reserva en su administración. Se analiza cómo los profesionales archivólogos estuvieron estrechamente involucrados en el proceso de gestación de ambas leyes, dando inicio a una etapa de consecución de fuertes
voluntades políticas que apoyaran los proyectos, convencidos que la premisa evidente
del Derecho de Acceso es que el documento al que se pretenda acceder exista y sea
recuperable. Se estudia como la coexistencia de ambas normas implicaban un cambio cultural, una evolución en el comportamiento de las organizaciones que no acompañó a la puesta en marcha de los instrumentos legales. Se concluye que el Derecho de Acceso a la Información Pública está basado en el principio fundamental de transparencia de los Órganos del Estado, por lo que no es de extrañar que una ley que obliga a brindar información tenga el riesgo de devenir en letra muerta. El Archivo
debe ser “condición” administrativa, lo que exige una nueva dimensión de ellos y de
sus profesionales dentro de los organismos del Estado, de forma tal que se conviertan
en una inmejorable herramienta para el cumplimiento de los objetivos de la Ley de
Derecho de Acceso a la Información Pública.

La Colección Documental Colonial del Archivo Mitre es un repositorio fundamental para la investigación histórica del Río de la Plata entre el siglo XVI y principios del XIX. Constituido a partir de la recuperación de la documentación empleada por Bartolomé Mitre durante su labor historiográfica, la colección posibilita el acceso, tanto a través de copias originales, como de copias manuscritas, a documentos provenientes del Archivo General de Indias, muchos de los cuales no se encuentran presentes en otros repositorios de nuestro país. En este trabajo se analiza su composición, volumen, clase y forma, tipos documentales y lugares de publicación. Asimismo, se apunta cómo la labor de conservación, ordenamiento, clasificación y catalogación facilita su acceso y consulta.

A Engenharia de Documentos é uma disciplina da Ciência da Computação que investiga os documentos em meio eletrônico. O objetivo deste artigo consiste em comparar e articular os diferentes enfoques da Engenharia de Documentos, Arquivologia, Diplomática Digital e Ciência da Informação sobre documentos e informações. A metodologia utilizada é a pesquisa documental da literatura que inclui a Diplomática Digital, a Tipologia Documental e as funções arquivísticas de Criação e Descrição. Como resultado foi identificado a proximidade entre os conceitos sobre documentos utilizados pelas diferentes áreas de conhecimento e a concepção do documento a partir de processos de negócio ou conjuntos documentais. As principais diferenças residiram na falta de equivalência dos conceitos de espécie e tipos documentais utilizados pela Arquivologia; na lacuna do tratamento de questões de autenticidade de documentos nato-digitais objeto da Diplomática Digital.

Resumen: A diez años de la promulgación de la Ley 18220 “Sistema Nacional de Archivos” (2007), conocida también como “Ley Nacional de Archivos”, el autor propone resaltar sus postulados, su vigencia, y reflexionar sobre sus principales disposiciones. Esta norma jurídica, producto de una sinergia entre Poderes Públicos, Universidad y Sociedad Civil, colmó un vacío legal que completa y articula una trilogía normativa junto a las leyes de protección de datos personales y de acceso a la información pública. This rule, a result of the synergy between the legal framework, the university and the civil society, satisfied a legal empty that completes and articulates a normative trilogy along with the Habeas Data Law and the Information Access Law. Esta norma jurídica, produto de uma sinergia entre Poderes públicos, Universidade e Sociedade civil, encheu um vazio legal que completa e articula uma trilogia de regulamentos junto a leis de proteção de dados pessoais e de acesso à informação pública.
