This is a mixed-methods study investigating parental satisfaction and wait times as parents inquire about an autism spectrum disorder diagnosis for their child in a Northern Ontario community. Satisfaction and wait times of those diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) by a single practitioner were compared to satisfaction and wait times of those diagnosed by the multidisciplinary assessment team in the Sudbury/Manitoulin region (the Autism Diagnostic Team; ADT). No significant differences were noted between groups on satisfaction or wait times. However, ADT group received much more consistent service, with less variation in wait times between clients, and more consistent provision of comprehensive services prior to the diagnostic meeting. Points of interest are noted for practitioners including increased wait times for parents of children with milder forms of ASD and for girls. La investigación se desarrolló teniendo en cuenta el alto costo de la energía eléctrica en El Salvador (1) y la posibilidad de explorar y mejorar la obtención de energías alternativas disponibles.  Es así que se presenta una comparación entre el rendimiento sobre la generación y disponibilidad de energía mediante modelo de panel solar fijo y un modelo con seguimiento de la trayectoria del sol.  El objetivo es conocer cuál de los dos sistemas es capaz de generar mayor voltaje de energía eléctrica. Se desarrolló en los departamentos de Morazán y Usulután. Se obtuvieron 60 mediciones en cada departamento con ambos sistemas. Dichas muestras sirvieron para determinar mediante análisis estadísticos el rendimiento de cada uno. Los resultados muestran que el Panel Fijo (PF) es menos efectivo que el Panel en Movimiento (PM) así, para Usulután se obtuvo un rendimiento superior de 0.2 Voltios y en Morazán fue de 0.1 Voltios, del PM respecto al PF el rendimiento se pudo constatar mediante el intervalo de confianza.

The English language classroom is a learning environment where students with various educational needs are taught. The broad diversity of these educational needs makes it urgent for the foreign language teacher to become aware of the tools, methods and techniques that can be used in class, in order to maximize the benefits for their students. The promising field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) appears to be frequently used by English language teachers, as means to achieve their teaching goals. It seems that ICT has been proven highly helpful with students diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD).  The primary goal of this literature review is to point out the specific guidelines that need to be taken into consideration when ICT material is designed or used in the foreign language classroom in order to assist the students with special educational needs that derive from ASD diagnoses.

The deployment of emotional assessment into electronic healthcare is gradually finding its way into healthcare domain especially for people with autism spectrum disorder because of their inability to relate their feelings or emotions with people around them or their environment. Therefore the integration of emotional assessment for treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) patient will help improve the understanding of their emotion when feedback to them. This paper is to provide an overview of the state-of-the-art on the subject of emotional assessment in affective computing (AC) incorporated into electronic healthcare technology. The overview includes the basic terminologies and definitions, a survey of existing technologies and recent advancement in the field of Affective computing i.e. affective/emotional technology, the modalities used in gathering data to detect the emotional state of an individual suffering from ASD, e-healthcare delivery and finally, inclusion of emotional assessment in e-healthcare system. This paper also offers a comprehensive number of references for each concept, methods, and applications in the emotional detection in e-healthcare delivery.

SUMMARY
Background: The impact of having a child with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)includes disturbed family and social relationships, inability of family members to deal with pleasant activities, increased needs for support that are not met and increased psychiatric problems of the caregivers. The pervasive deficits of children with ASD
have a critical effect in daily life and Qol of life in parents.
Objectives:The purpose of this study was to investigate the burden and the needs of families with a child with ASD on mother’s everyday life and possible correlations between mother’s Quality of Life(QoL) and depressive symptomatology and child’s QoL. Parental coping strategies were examined in relation to maternal health and quality of life. 
Methods:The present study included 143 mothers (aged 30-67years old) (mean age:42.7±7 SD), Participants completed a demographic questionnaire and a semi-structured interview:1.Α Family Needs questionnaire, was developed for the purposes’ of the current study; a part of this questionaire consists of items, from the Family Needs Survey, (Bailey & Simeonsson 1988). 2.Health Questionnaire, Child Quality of Life: Kidscreen – 52 parent version, 3."The World Health Organization Quality of Life Assessment - Bref self-administered instrument» WHO - QoL- Bref, 4. Strategies for dealing with stressful family situations. The Family Crisis Oriented Personal Evaluation Scales (“F- COPES”). 5.The Center for Epidemiological Studies - Depression Scale, (CES- D). 6. Parental anxiety of parents due  to their parental role, Parental Stress Index (PSI),
Results:The 32.2% of the participants were university graduates. In 58.9% of cases there were 2 children in the family while 25.0% had only one child. The 42.0% of the participants had experienced a financial stalemate in the last 12 months more than half of mothers reported that are in good health (65.1%), while 54.5% admitted that they do have some health problems. 65.3% of mothers need more information about how children or adolescents grow up and 61.6% about the services that their child will need in the future. 38.0% of mothers need a lot of help to find a suitable school for their child and 35.0% to find more time for themselves and to talk with child teachers or therapists. Also, 34.2% of mothers need a financial help to find entertainment activities. 30.6% of mothers' families need help to foster cooperation between parents-schools-local communities.
Depression scores ranged from 0-53 with an average of 18.3 (SD=11.0).There was a statistically significant negative association of the QoL and Depression Scale (CES-D) scale:"Overall Health and Health Assessment"[Pearson r =-0.47, p <0.001], "Physical health" [Pearson r =-0.48, p<0.001], "Psychological Health" [Pearson r =-0.73p<0.001], "Social Relations" [Pearson r =-0.67, p<0.001] and "Environment" [Pearson r = -0.54, p<0.001].
There was a statistically significant negative correlation between the QoL (WHO-QoL Bref) and the F-COPES scale. In particular, the dimension "Social Relations" was found to positively relate to dimensions: "Reframing" [Pearson r= 0.24, p=0.007] "Search for social support" [Pearson r=0.23, p=0.010]. The dimension "Physical health" was found to be positively related to the dimension:“Reframing”[Pearson r=0.19, p=0.033]. There was a statistically significant positive correlation between the "Passive Appraisal" dimension and the Depression Scale (CES-D) [Pearson r=0.19, p=0.038].
As children get older mother’s QoL score becomes lower and health status worsens; QoL score is lower when a health problem is present in mothers.




Conclusions: Having a child with ASD has a substantial impact on maternal wellbeing  and finances, and family life in general. Parents appear with a variety of needs for personalized information, which are not adequately covered by health professionals. Mothers of children with ASD present frequent physical and mental health problems and it seems that the presence of a child with ASD has a substantial impact on coping strategies.“Rreframing” and “passive appraisal” correlate with physical and mental health dimensions respectively. Mothers appear to be passive, believing that the problem will be eliminated if they wait. The need for support of families of children with ASD is pressing, and priority should be given to the funding, accessibility and improvement of the quality of public services for this population. It is very important and useful to strengthen formal and informal family support networks as well as to develop clinical assesment support, therapeutic, intervention, training and research of specialized units in various regions of the country.

It is common that intellectually gifted children (IQ ≥ 130) are referred to paediatric or child neuropsychiatry clinics for socio-emotional problems and/or school underachievement or maladjustment. Among them, those displaying developmental asynchrony - a heterogeneous developmental pattern reflected in a significant verbal-performance discrepancy (SVPD) on Wechsler&#39;s intelligence profile - are thought to be more emotionally and behaviourally impaired than others. Our purpose was to investigate this clinical dichotomy using a cognitive psychopathological approach. Trait-anxiety and emotional dysregulation were investigated in two groups of referred gifted children (n = 107 and 136, respectively), a pilot-study of reasoning processes on extensive Piaget-like tasks was also performed in an additional small group (n = 12). Every year the prevalence of Autism Spectrum of Disorders (ASD) is rising. Is there a unifying mechanism of various ASD cases at the genetic, molecu-lar, cellular or systems level? The hypothesis advanced in this paper is focused on neural dysfunctions that lead to problems with attention in autistic pe-ople. Simulations of attractor neural networks performing cognitive functions help to assess system long-term neurodynamics. The Fuzzy Symbolic Dynamics (FSD) technique is used for the visualization of attractors in the semantic lay-er of the neural model of reading. Large-scale simulations of brain structures characterized by a high order of complexity requires enormous computational power, especially if biologically motivated neuron models are used to investi-gate the influence of cellular structure dysfunctions on the network dynamics. Such simulations have to be implemented on computer clusters in a grid-based architectures.

Abstract
OBIECTIVE: Identificarea incidenţei consumului excesiv de mediu virtual in perioada 2012-2017 la copiii nou diagnosticati cu autism. Studiul mai urmăreşte să identifice dacă consumul peste 4 ore/zi de mediu virtual în perioada 0-3 ani, poate să influenţeze QD/IQ în cadrul procesului de recuperare, la copiii cu autism.
METODE: Studiul s-a desfăşurat longitudinal urmărind progresele obţinute în procesul terapeutic, prin măsurarea QD/IQ la 62 copii cu autism din România. Analizele s-au făcut comparativ între două loturi care au prezentat sau nu, în istoricul anamnestic, consum peste 4 ore/zi de mediu virtual. Datele cantitative s-au obţinut prin măsurarea diferenţelor dintre QD/IQ de la prima la a doua evaluare şi prin urmărirea numărului de copii integraţi în învăţământul de masă.
REZULTATE: Lotul expus peste 4 ore/zi mediilor virtuale în perioada 0-3 ani a prezentat îmbunătăţiri medii ale QD/IQ - general cu 37.33% mai mari, în condiţiile în care indicele resurse terapeutice (IRT) a fost de 3.16 mai mic faţă de lotul control, între prima şi a doua evaluare. Din lotul celor expuşi 57.58% au fost integraţi în învăţământul de masă cu un IRT mediu 4.86, faţă de 24.14% cu un IRT mediu 14.4 la lotul control.
CONCLUZII: Îmbunătăţirile rapide în urma protocolului terapeutic aplicat precum şi procentul foarte mare de integrare în învăţământul de masă pentru lotul expus la mediile virtuale, este foarte apropiat ca răspuns de cel al copiilor cu sindromul autist post-instituţional. Acest lucru sugerează faptul că deprivarea senzoriomotorie şi socioafectivă cauzată de consumul peste 4 ore/zi de mediu virtual pentru copiii între 0-3 ani, poate declanşa comportamente şi elemente similare celor întâlnite în autism (întruneşte criteriile de diagnostic descrise în DSM-IV) şi poate chiar produce o structură de neuroconectivitate tipică copiilor cu TSA, afectând structurile cerebrale pe termen lung prin influenţa factorilor epigenetici. Am numit această formă Autism Virtual.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES: Identifying the incidence of excessive use of virtual environment between 2012-2017 in children recently diagnosed with autism. The survey also aims to identify whether the consumption over 4 hours/day of virtual environment between 0-3 years old can influence  QD/IQ in the process of recovery in children with autism.
METHODS: The survey was conducted longitudinally, following the progress in the therapeutic process by measuring  QD/IQ in 62 children with autism in Romania. Analyzes were compared between two groups who are present or not in the the anamnesis history of the consumption over 4 hours/day of virtual environment. Quantitative data were obtained by measuring the differences between  QD/IQ  from the first to the second evaluation and also by tracking the number of children integrated into mainstream  education.
RESULTS: the group exposed more than 4 hours/day to virtual environments between 0-3 years old presented average improvments of QD/IQ - general with 37,33% higher, while the therapeutic resources index (IRT) was 3,16 lower, compared to the control group, between the first and second evaluation. 57,58% of the exposed group were integrated in mainstream education with an average IRT 4,86, compared to 24,14% with an average  IRT 14,4 at the control group.
CONCLUSIONS: Rapid improvments following the therapeutic protocol and also the high percentage of integration into mainstream education for the group exposed to virtual environments is a very similar response to the chidlren with the post-institutional autistic syndrome. This suggests that sensory-motor and socio-affetive deprivation caused by the consumption of more than 4 hours/day of virtual environment for the children between 0-3 years old can activate behaviours and elements similar to those found in autism (meet the  diagnostic criteria described in DSM-IV) and might also produce a neuro-connectivity structure typical to the children with ASD, affecting long- term brain structures through the epigenetic factors. We called this form Virtual Autism.
