The forest road constuction contributes, significantly, in the effort which is being made for the opening up of a forest area with the less possible cost. It also deals effectively with its difficulties with the enforcement of new methods and the use of the latest mechanical means with advanced technique. In our days the forest road  is one of the most important sectors technical  and economical view, that concerns the forest exploitation. The main subject of this research is the use and contribution of the digital photogrametry, for a substantial improvement in the procedures which are used for collecting outdoors data that can be applied in the opening up of a forest area. In this research it is also studied how effective the results of digital photogrametry are, during the collection of forest data in the various  stages of a road research. According to the results the digital photogrametry can be applied in the stages of the preliminary research.

The Collaborative Model for Promoting Competence and Success (COMPASS) is an evidence-based, student-centered consultation and coaching intervention developed specifically for students with ASD.

What is COMPASS? It starts with parent-teacher consultation with a COMPASS trained consultant resulting in individualized goals and teaching plans using an Evidence Based Practice in Psychology (EBPP) framework. After the consultation, teachers receive evidence-based coaching with performance feedback and progress monitoring towards IEP progress.

What are the theoretical frameworks that inform COMPASS? COMPASS is an implementation strategy influenced by the framework  of Dunst, Trivette, and Raab (2013) (Figure 3) that considers the relationships between what the COMPASS consultant does (implementation practice) to impact what the teacher does (intervention practice) to improve child educational outcomes (practice outcomes).

What has the previous research on COMPASS found? Three previous randomized controlled trials found that COMPASS results in better IEP quality and goal attainment progress over the course of an academic year compared to control groups.

What is this study about? All previous studies have been delivered by the original developers. This study sought to train local, school-based consultants to implement COMPASS with high fidelity and satisfaction.

The structure and operating principles of a solar compass conceived and realised at the ENEA Laboratories in Frascati are presented. The optical design, the underlying software and the calibration procedure make this instrument a reliable, stand-alone tool with an unprecedented combination of accuracy and cost-effectiveness. In-field operation gives evidence of azimuth determination capability with an accuracy of 0.01°. Exploitation of built-in sensors of smartphones (e.g. GPS, camera, accelerometer) allowed us to move this technology to popular level, providing everybody with a cheap tool of orienteering, far superior to any magnetic compass, despite a reduced accuracy with respect to the original instrument.

Presented within the article are direct and indirect archaeological evidence for the use of compasses on the territory of RN Macedonia during the period of antiquity. The article starts off with a short overview of the origins and development of the compass as a tool, before focusing on the specific specimens of ancient compasses discovered on the territory of RN Macedonia. The article also presents multiple examples pointing to the use of compasses in different spheres of ancient material culture from RN Macedonia, including architecture, stonecutting, decoration of bone objects and mosaic design. The last part of the article is dedicated to the symbolic aspects of the compass, with a special emphasis on one of the Macedonian specimens.

The linguistic map of Amazonia presents a startling jumble of languages and language families. While some families – most notably Carib, Arawak, Macro-Jê, and Tupí– are distributed widely throughout the region, their spread is interspersed with many dozens of tiny, localized families and language isolates, particularly in the Amazonian periphery. At the same time, distributions of lexical, grammatical, and phonological features suggest that this linguistic patchwork is overlaid in places by contact regions, where multilingualism has fostered lexical and/or structural resemblances among languages. This complex distribution of languages and linguistic features presents many challenges to our understanding of Amazonian prehistory. How did Amazonia's language families arrive at their present distribution? Why did some families spread over huge distances, while others came to occupy only tiny geographical pockets or are limited to a single language? What kinds of interactions among peoples led to the formation of contact zones, and how are these regions defined? Complicating these questions further is the fact that very little is known about many Amazonian languages, and relationships among them are in many cases a matter of conjecture. This article surveys our current understanding of language classification and language contact in Amazonia, and addresses various perspectives concerning the implications of these relationships for Amazonian prehistory.

analyse géométrique à travers l’invention de ses nouveaux compas. Son analyse géométrique, dont l’innovation
réside dans la division proportionnelle et la correspondance entre nombres et grandeurs, sert à développer
la méthode pour relier les deux termes par leur moyen terme ou leur commune mesure. Cette méthode de
la liaison continue par le moyen terme, que nous envisagerons en détail, s’appliquera non seulement à la
géométrie algébrique, laquelle ne traite que des questions quantitatives, mais aussi à toutes les sciences en
vue de leur unité, ce qui sera plus tard l’un des thèmes principaux des Regulae.

"We have invented an electronic solar compass that can be used to determine with remarkable accuracy the direction of an observed point with respect to the true geographic North. This solar compass is patent pending RM2012A000664 (filed on 27th December, 2012).
The electronic solar compass is composed of an electro-optic sensor that detects the position of the sun, a GPS device that provides the Greenwich time and the coordinates of the compass, an optical pointer, a goniometer for measuring angles and a microprocessor, which elaborates the data and provides the angle of observation with respect to true North in real time. An innovative algorithm based on Kepler's laws allows determining the sun ephemeris and the North-South direction by knowing the local time and its geographic coordinates."

Modeling socioeconomic class has been a persistent challenge in the analysis of sociolinguistic variation. While early stratificational models formulated on the basis of socioeconomic indicators such as income, occupation, and area of residence revealed compelling patterns of linguistic variation, they were critiqued for their lack of explanatory power at the interactional level and for their marginalization of those without paid employment. Subsequent models have employed cross-disciplinary concepts such as the linguistic market, social networks, and communities of practice, prioritizing local social distinctions that are understood to reflect or even constitute abstract structural categories such as ‘working class’ or ‘middle class’. It is argued that a full socioeconomic class paradigm for sociolinguistics would also theorize class at the aggregate level, and to this end, sociological class models may prove useful. Contemporary sociological class analysis at the level of social practice offers additional avenues for interfacing with sociology.

Data acquisition of wind speed, wind direction and environmental temperature are needed to get the data potential of wind power. The aim of this research is to generate a device of wind speed, wind direction and temperature with the real time condition. With this device, we will obtain an analysis about the potential of wind power electrical generation around the Puger beach, Jember, Indonesia. In this study, parameters investigated were made into three types of measurement variables that measure of wind speed, wind direction, temperature and a data  to show real time data..The device which is used to measure wind speed using hall effect sensor as a transducer. With using of the active magnet that spins will be created pwm that will be read by sensor to get the wind speed. A côté d’un ensemble explicitement chrétien assez facilement identifiable, les façades et, à l’intérieur, les cheminées de certaines maisons rurales françaises arborent, en certaines régions, un répertoire relativement cohérent de signes sculptés, gravés ou peints, constitué de figures tracées au compas telles que cœurs, rosaces ainsi que virgules assemblées par paires ou par quatre en svastika, et dont la présence soulève un certain nombre de questions. Si de nombreuses publications à large public affirment le caractère magique, et notamment apotropaïque, de ces signes réputés « traditionnels », voire « universels », c’est en vain que l’on cherche, dans les études historiques ou ethnologiques sérieuses, les preuves de ces attributions fonctionnelles. Il est vrai que l’apposition de ces signes n’a donné lieu, à notre connaissance, à aucun récit contemporain, si bien que nous ignorons même, pour la plupart d’entre eux, comment ils étaient nommés au moment de leur réalisation. Faut-il, pour autant, renoncer à comprendre leur rôle et leur fonctionnement ? Le but de cette communication sera de s’interroger sur une démarche scientifique possible permettant de restituer non seulement une fonction anthropologique, mais aussi une historicité, à des signes qui ne furent ni de tous temps, ni de tous lieux.

This paper is devoted to exposition of a provable classical solution for the ancient Greeks classical geometric problem of angle trisection [3]. (Pierre Laurent Wantzel, 1837),presented an algebraic proof based on ideas from Galois field showing that, the angle trisection solution correspond to an implicit solution of the cubic equation; , which he stated as geometrically irreducible [23]. The primary objective of this novel work is to show the possibility to solve the trisection of an arbitrary angle using the traditional Greeks tools of geometry, and refutethe presented proof of angle trisection impossibility statement. The exposedproof of the solution is theorem , which is based on the classical rules of Euclidean geometry, contrary to the Archimedes proposition of usinga marked straightedge construction [4], [11].

This paper presents an integrated wireless system that helps a visually impaired person navigate within an indoor environment. The guidance process to help the person navigate uses a ZigBee wireless mesh network to localize the user and a compass to determine his/her orientation. The system uses a server to calculate an optimal path from the user's present location to the target location or item to be reached. The system receives voice commands from the visually impaired person and generates audio responses to guide the person. The mobile unit of the system is compact and requires relatively low power. Overall the system has minimal intrusion level and the results of various testing scenarios showed it was successful. The results also showed that the accuracy level depends on the available ZigBee modules within the mesh network and the particular zone.

An old but historically interesting paper (predates portable GPS navigation) that describes a microprocessor-based aid for the blind is described. It is portable, battery-powered and provides information to the user about urban walking routes using coded sounds to indicate what decisions to make. Depending on the length of the route, 25 or more routes can be stored in the memory for as long as an estimated 9 years. The routes stored, and the information about them, are particular to each user, and can be erased or modified if required.

It seems remiss that while New Zealand’s design prowess continues to impress globally, the indigenous and cultural knowledge that has for centuries inspired and informed aesthetic languages worldwide has not been recognised for its contribution. Forgotten, or perhaps conveniently ignored, is the praise of both the New Zealand Māori and Pacific people’s use of nature’s harmonies to achieve beauty in aesthetics made in 1852 by education and aesthetic reformist, Owen Jones (1809 -1874) in his seminal and determinative work, The Grammar of Ornament. In order to reinstate Jones’ claim, this paper asserts it is critical that we revisit design’s history from a less Eurocentric perspective. This offers an opportunity to debunk the counter-claim that indigeneity was counter-productive to the development of modernity.
