Java is Object oriented programming language which is more popular among the developers and there can be developed small or big standalone, web or Mobile applications based on choosing java
technology. For example, to build standalone or mobile application programmer used the concepts of core java like Applet, Multithreading, Polymorphism etc. but for web application some additional technologies will also be required like Servlet, JSP etc. To develop a web application using servlet, JSP and core java methods takes more time and money and if there is any modification required in application in future there will be needed to change many lines of code and some new issue occurred. To overcome these problems many big software companies developing new tools and framework which can reduce the programmer’ work and cost of the project. There are already few popular java frameworks available using this any application can be developed in less time without wasting huge amount on it. The framework like Spring, Hibernate, Spring Boot, Struts and EJB etc. and each framework has many modules which can be used based on project requirements. The study and analysis will be required before using these frameworks.

The paper focuses on the architecture of JBoss Application Server and how it helps to automate the development, deployment, and operation of business-critical and mission-critical applications. The paper also describes about the Dynamic application implemented by JBoss.

"A flood forecasting system is a crucial component in flood mitigation. For certain important large-scale reservoirs, cooperation and communication among federal, state, and local stakeholders are required when heavy flood events are encountered. The Web-based environment is emerging as a very important development and delivery platform for real-time flood forecasting systems. In this paper, the findings of a case study are presented of the development of a Web-based flood forecasting system for reservoirs using Java 2 platform Enterprise Edition (J2EE). J2EE of Sun Microsystems is chosen as the development solution for the Web-based flood forecasting system, Weblogic 6.0 of BEA as the container provider, and JBuilder 7.0 of Borland as the development tool. One of the key objectives in this project is to establish a collaborative platform for flood forecasting via Web technology in order to render hydrological models and data available to stakeholders and experts involved and thus offer an efficient medium for transferring and sharing information, knowledge and experiences among them. Compared with general Web-based query systems and traditional flood forecasting systems, the Web-based flood forecasting system is more focused on the on-line analysis of model-based forecasting of floods and provides opportunities for improving the transfer of information and knowledge from the hydrological scientists and managers to decision makers. Finally, a prototype system is used to demonstrate the system application.
