The Jar Flock Test was conducted in order to demonstrate the coagulation and flocculation process in water treatment plant and to determine the ability of dried used tea leaves as a coagulant. The pH value and turbidity value of the wastewater is determined prior experiment with the value of 7.28 and 79.2, respectively. The test was conducted using 1000ml wastewater in a 1000ml beaker with 1 gram of dried used tea leaves stirred together using stirrer of the Jar Testing Equipment for about 35 minutes. The solution is then filtered to remove the floc to ease the sampling process for turbidity analysis and pH analysis. Then, the sample of wastewater is taken for pH analysis. The same sample is left for one whole day as the settling time before the turbidity value is determined. The value of pH and turbidity of the wastewater after the coagulation process is 6.41 and 61.3, respectively. The percentage of reduction for turbidity and pH value is 22.6% and 13.57% , respectively. Dried used tea leaves has the ability as coagulant however the wastewater need further process to increase the pH value of the wastewater which decreases from mild alkaline to mild acidic properties.

This paper offers the results of a content analysis on the level of immersion in 360º video features produced by Spanish media. Unlike other conventional ways of storytelling, this new modality provides the viewer with a sensation of being really immerse in a reality that is only being represented, which favors a deeper and more meaningful understanding of it. Our study is divided in three sections. Firstly, we develop a brief theoretical framework that includes the definition and foundations on which immersive feature is based. From this theoretical foundation, we draw a scale to measure the immersion level of these pieces and we confront our proposal to the qualified assessment of 10 experts. Finally we apply this scale on a sample of 148 360º video features produced by Spanish media between January 2015 and December 2017. The aim is to analyze its use and also to infer some good practices that can be useful not only for scholars researching on this new format but also for practitioners producing it.

Hiring decisions can be risky. How much can employers save by better understanding the motivations and objectives of each applicant?  How much time and expertise should be invested in getting to know each applicant? Will such efforts raise the return on investment?  What are the shortcomings and deficits of the criteria to evaluate, compare and rank applicants?  How do they need to get changed to reflect the shift in the relative order of job skills between employees when the composition of the team (total of all employees) changes by hiring, firing or replacing?  A job description combines tasks and steps to a random set of job responsibilities.  But could there be better ways to bundle tasks together and to look for the most qualified applicant for this particular arbitrarily defined task bundle?  Could the employer benefit from regrouping all small tasks, which a company must perform, by changing which and how many small job tasks will be bundled together in different job descriptions?  And if so, how can reassigning each little tasks from different jobs to the most suitable employee (task-centered approach) instead of looking for the most qualified applicant for a particular job (job-centered approach) help in improving productivity and profitability?  How and why will the new task-centered approach help to increase the workforce diversity more than the job-centered approach?  How can reassigning tasks help disabled and handicapped lacking essential job functions to get hired anyways?  How can employers benefit from not only looking for the most qualified applicant for any particular job (i.e. arbitrarily bundle of tasks and steps) Why does the task-centered based hiring decision benefit employees, employees, applicants and disabled job-seekers more than job-centered based hiring decisions?  What are the benefits to seek the best employee for each task (task-centered) instead of the most qualified applicant for a particular job?  How can employers benefit from a paradigm shift replacing the job-centered with the task-centered hiring perspective?  How can the multi-dimensional effects, which different combinations of employees (i.e. teams) on the overall productivity and profitability be measured?  How much welfare and unemployment benefits could be saved if employers were aware of the additional benefits when making task or employee based hiring decisions instead of exclusively looking for the most qualified applicant?  How can reassigning job-tasks to different employees help applicants to become the most qualified job-seeker despite lacking essential job functions?  How could employers be convinced that they'd benefit most from reassigning tasks from different jobs to the employee most qualified for a particular task instead of only looking for the best applicant for a particular job consisting of an arbitrary bundle of tasks?

Meknes City is located in northern of central Morocco at the medium Atlas and it contains about 171 industrial units. The studied site is characterized by important road traffic and it is situated in the center of Meknes city, near a taxis station and not far from railway traffic. The sampling was carried out from March 2007 to November 2008. During this period, particulate matters (Fine and Coarse) were collected using, Gent, Partisol and Dichotomous samplers. The collected filter samples were analyzed using Total Reflection X-Ray Fluorescence and Neutron Activation Analysis. Besides, the sources of emissions of fine and coarse fractions were identified by means of enrichment factor analysis. The distribution of element contents between fine and coarse fractions showed that most of the analyzed elements are equally distributed on both fractions; except for some elements like Ca that was more distributed in coarse fractions and Ni that was more concentrated in fine fractions. The following experiment is done to verify the two popular laws applied to the circuit; The Kirchhoff’s circuit law (KCL) and the Kirchhoff’s voltage law (KVL). The experiment after done shows that in a parallel circuit the current remains constant, the total resistance is the algebraic sum of individual resistors and that in a series circuit the voltage divides according to the Kirchhoff’s voltage law. Also found from the experiment was that in a parallel circuit, the voltage remains the same throughout, the total resistance is found by adding up the reciprocals of the individual resistors values, and then taking the reciprocal of the total. In a parallel circuit the current breaks up, with some flowing along each parallel branch and re-combining when the branches meet again. The division of current in braches and then recombining is discussed under the Kirchhoff’s current law.

In various scientific articles genetic information has been linked to behavioral differences. Laboratory mice have been used in scientific research for a prolonged period of time, due to this it is strongly possible that scientists may have inbred for specific traits which over time can potentially affect the results in certain scientific experiments. In order to determine if this has occurred, this experiment tests the locomotory, social, and boldness of a behavior between two different mice strains. We used inbred Balb/C mice which have been genetically engineered to have traits of human interests and swiss mice which are expected to have higher levels of genetic diversity resembling wild type mice more closely. The differences were calculated by measuring the frequency of 3 different behavior patterns of each mouse individually in an open-field (not put in a maze, free to behave however they choose to) arena for an allotted amount of time. We examined their personality traits (bold or shy). We surveyed for levels of curiosity as well as quantity of behavior patterns and compared both the strains of mice. Then recording the results and determining if there is a difference through statistical analysis. Our hypothesis was that the Balb/C mice would be more shy and less exploratory while the swiss mice would be more exploratory and bold.

In this research, easy and new technique system to measure contact angle of metals/metals system was introduced. The new technique system used a simple component in direct procedure to found contact angle of solder on metals substrate in wide range of drops volumes. Solder was applied into aluminum and copper substrate metals using control heating temperature of the substrate. Then, the results were analyzed by image J program to know the accuracy of the system. The results showed interesting difference contact angles values between standard and measured samples, for solder/Cu was about (-1.8) degree, while for solder/Al was about (-1.2) degree. Also, standard deviations of the experimental measurements were for solder/Cu around (3.7) and for solder/Al around (5.3), respectively. That means this system has interesting ability to measure contact angles of metal/metal system, especially solder/metal system.

Researchers conducted research during the day, precisely at 14.00 WITA, which is one of the times when the market density is at its peak. With the implementation of this research, various descriptions are obtained which will be clarified in the analysis of the results of this research. This research has the theme of the market as a location or place that becomes the center of economic activity, especially buying and selling that facilitates consumers to get the desired goods and access for sellers to distribute goods in an organized, efficient manner in reaching interested people. The market has become a place that is now not only available traditionally but has now become a competitor to the modern market. Traditional markets still hold existence as markets that are in great demand by the public due to the ease of access, the prices of goods that tend to be affordable, complete and the ease of direct transactions between sellers and buyers.

ABSTRACT/SUMMARY Agar slants are nutritional medium used for growing and storing pure cultures for a moderately long term. There is minimal risk of contamination or loss the culture due to the medium drying out because the small volume of air inside the tube and narrow opening combine to limit water loss and exposure to outside air, including dust and other particles. In this study cultures were planted on the media by slant stab and surface inoculation method by aseptic techniques to further reduce contamination. A pure culture growth was observed on the inoculated slant surface and the bacteria was identified to be gram negative. From this experiment one can deduce that microorganisms need specific environmental factors to grow, that agar slants are the best media to use when growing pure cultures with decreased contamination and also following the aseptic technique is important for surface inoculation.

Abstrak. The research was made on the campus of Universitas Atma Jaya, Makassar. Makassar city is the eastern city of Indonesia, but often experience flood in the rainy season, consequently many roads damaged by puddles, like the example that occurred on the path of Atma Jaya Makassar campus there are puddles, holes that can be dangerous for road users who pass through. There is significant rainfall in most months of the year. The dry season has little impact on the climate as a whole. The climate here is classified as Am based on the Köppen-Geiger system. The average temperature in Makassar is 26.2 ° C. Precipitation here averages 2875 mm. In the experiment test is done with several press tests using a compression test tool. It consists of 3 samples of 3%, 4% and 5% asphalt, which from the results of the research can be concluded that the higher level of pith high compressive strength of the asphalt.

The aim of this paper is to describe a genre that is gaining importance in contemporary humanities, and especially in its areas devoted to digital media – the technical report. Technical reports are discussed as part of the larger trend of open notebook science. This form of communication draws from experiences worked out in the field of technology, computer science and science. In this understanding technical reports are a genre of gray literature, a form dedicated to communicating results of research projects conducted by laboratories. The case study discussed in this text is devoted to a series of technical reports from the MIT Trope Tank lab, which are interpreted in the light of a manifesto ­text for this form of com­munication, Beyond the Journal and the Blog. The Technical Report for Communication in the Humanities, published by Nick Montfort. One of the aims of the article is also to contextualize technical reports against the background of other forms and methods of communication in laboratories from the field of contemporary humanities (including blogs, brochures, lab notebooks).
