The purpose of this paper is to investigate the theoretical linear model on intelligence, i.e. emotional, social, cognitive, and cultural intelligence and its impact on managerial effectiveness and career success in the perspective of insurance sector of Pakistan. Data collected from 202 managers of insurance companies by using structured questionnaires’ and simple random sampling technique. Multiple regression analysis has used to check the simultaneous effect of multiple types of intelligence on managerial job outcomes. The results of research revealed that emotional, social, and cognitive intelligence have positive effect on managerial effectiveness and career success. Emotional intelligence is one of the strongest predictor that has significant impact of managerial effectiveness compared to other types of intelligence. Conversely, cultural intelligence has insignificant relation with managerial effectiveness and career success. There are very rare studies conducted to explore the role of multiple types of intelligence to improve managerial job outcomes in the context of insurance sector. This study proved that the transformation of business from production era to relationship-based era increases the importance of multiple types of intelligence to become an effective manager. Moreover, this study contributes in theoretical literature and explores new dimensions for future researchers, practitioners’, and management consultants to recognize the effectiveness of intelligence especially in services sector organizations. Data collected from one sector and by using one point of time raised the issue of common method variance and causality. This study has examined the overarching model on intelligence. Researchers did not find a single study that has addressed the multiple types of intelligence and its impact on managerial outcomes in the perspective of insurance sector.

Neuroeconomics is a new field in the area of decision making and economics. In a way so, it is an improvement of the traditional and behavioral economics as some elements of decision making and choice are being added. Being a new field and through biological research studies in decision making and choices, economists are not sure of incorporating the neuroeconomics for predictions and policy formulation. However, the traditional model of economics has proved to be inadequate and its assumptions often violated. Incorporating other tools like the neuroscience tools would complement the model and make it more reliable and improve the level of certainty when making decisions especially in situation of uncertainty. The model would be well balanced as it would take care of other inadequacies that classical economics has failed to address. Thus the reflection of this paper aim at viewing the birth of decision neuroscience from behavioral economics to neuroeconomics.

This paper investigates the association of leadership roles’ competencies as well as managerial effectiveness profiles with gender and job outcomes (job satisfaction and performance). In addition, the influence of leadership competencies on individual effectiveness of managers is explored, providing a course for action toward managerial excellence. Drawing upon a sample of 132 male and female managers in Greek firms, a structured questionnaire was developed adopting the Competing Values Framework (CVF) in order to measure both leadership roles’ competencies and managerial effectiveness.
Results revealed that managers characterized by high levels of job performance excel in practicing all leadership competencies, while gender does not exert significant impact. A similar pattern emerged for managerial effectiveness profiles. Moreover, leadership competencies associated with the innovator, director and mentor roles found to contribute most to managerial effectiveness, thus specific directions for managerial action has been derived.

A reliability co-efficient of 0.89 was established for “PIEMPPS” using Cronbach Alpha method of testing reliability. Data collected for the study were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. All hypotheses were tested at 0.05 level of significance.
