Sestola obljetnica osnutka samostana bez sumnje je pravi povod da se osvrnemo na okolnosti u kojimajc do osnivanja doslo, ponajprije da istraiimo motive koji su ga uvjetovali. Samo osnivanje vezano je uz oporuku Pelegrine Saladin, Zadranke, udovice Franje Bartulovog Grisogona, a neposredan datum bijase do nedavno nesiguran s obzirom na koliziju godine 1390. koja se u prijepisu oporuke spominje i indikcije XV. koja ide uz 1392. godinu.l Prijepis oporuke se cuva u samostanu zadarskih benediktinki, iako sama oporuka sadrzajno nije uz njih vezana, posebno iz razloga sto je oporuka osnivacki dokument ne samo za pasmanske franjevce vcé i za koludrice Sv. Katarine u Zadru. One su, za svoje potrcbe, u drugoj polovini 15. stoljeéa narucile prijepis pa se pogreska tada i potkrala. Po ukidanju samostana 1802. godine, koludrice Sv. Katarine preseljcne su godine 1804. u samostan zadarskih benediktinki zajedno sa svojom imovinom i arhivom, pa je spomenuti prijepis tako i sacuvan u arhivu Sv. Mari...

U radu se obrađuje historijat istraživanja jednoga od najvažnijih samostanskih kartulara iz hrvatskoga srednjovjekovlja: Libellus Policorion – Rogovski kartular, koji se danas čuva u Državnom arhivu u Zadru (HR–DAZD–337, Benediktinski samostan sv. Kuzme i Damjana na Pašmanu, kut. 1). To je kopijalna knjiga – kartular hrvatske kraljevske Rogovske opatije (prvotno samostan svetog Ivana Evanđelista u Biogradu, potom od 12. stoljeća stvarni i pravni sljednik samostan svetih Kuzme i Damjana na brdu Ćokovcu kod Tkona na otoku Pašmanu) sastavljen u drugoj polovini 14. stoljeća te pisan srednjovjekovnim latinskim jezikom (Latinitas medii aevi), goticom bolonjskoga tipa (littera Bononiensis). We recently noticed that squeezing the distal heads of metacarpal bones (excluding the first) and stretching the III and IV finger relieved paresthesias and pain in CTS (Manente et al. 1999). This manoeuvre was the rationale to design an innovative hand brace we called “MANU” (patented) and to design a trial to assess efficacy and tolerability.Forty patients with CTS symptoms and abnormal electrophysiological tests were instructed to wear MANU during the night for 1 month. Efficacy was assessed by the Levine scale the Subject's Global Impression of Change Questionnaire. Forty CTS patients served as control.In the MANU group, the Levine score was at the entry: 2.3 ± 0.6 and 1.5 ± 0.5 at the end of the study (p < 0.001). At 1 month 27 patients (67.5%) were free of symptoms or reported pronounced improvement, and 13 (32.5%) reported moderate or mild improvement. MANU was very well tolerated by all patients. Se presentan nuevos registros de especies de las subfamilias Ceropalinae y Noto-cyphinae colectados en la estación Biológica “Manu Learning Centre” ubicada en la zona de amortiguamiento del Parque Nacional del Manu. Resumo O texto circunscreve aspectos da complexidade significacional de uma fotografia que, em sua circulação, atravessou um século e meio acumulando sedimentos oriundos da vida pública brasileira. Ao conectar imagem e imaginário, a fotografia dos oito cavaleiros converteu-se num objeto simbólico. Em meio à ambivalência em que se inscreve, consagrou-se como imagem fundadora que, partindo da ordem familiar, social e política, concede precedência ao militarismo e o concebe como um poder organizador na vida republicana brasileira.

In 1942, the recently bereaved Manu Gandhi arrived in Sevagram ashram, Wardha, to serve the aged Mahatma and his ailing wife Kasturba. In 1943, she was called to Poona, where the Mahatma and his associates were jailed. During that time, Manu began keeping a regular diary. Translated and published in 2019, the diary throws open the inner world of a lesser known Gandhi. This review article is a discursive reading of Manu’s daily diary. It begins by locating women in general and Manu in particular in contemporary Gandhiana. The contents of the diary are discussed subsequently, the focus being primarily on Manu as a young woman. Put differently, the article explores Manu’s feminine self (identity and agency) and its interface with larger questions of history such as nationalism and patriarchy. Finally, in an interrogative mode, it examines the possibility of retrieval of Manu’s (a woman’s) hitherto inaudible voice.

ABSTRAK Permintaan terhadap pekerja asing ke Malaysia adalah sesuatu yang tidak dapat dielakkan dan kerajaan telah mewujudkan dasar dan program bagi mengawal kemasukan pekerja asing ke Malaysia. Terdapat dua objektif utama yang akan dibincangkan dalam artikel ini iaitu mengkaji proses pembuatan dasar dan pendekatan digunakan dalam pembuatan dasar pekerja asing. Dogodki, ljudje in pokrajine se znajdejo v nekoliko neresnični plasti, ki ji pravim spominski somrak, ko spomin še obstaja, a se modificira in ga pozaba vse bolj strga. Pa vendar spomine zbiramo, smo kot veverice z lešniki v duplu in se bojimo zime, a nekako ne vemo, kdaj bo prišla in ali jo bomo preživeli. Pozaba in zima, povezuje ju otrplost in nemoč.

Beginning with expressions such as ideographs, the author’s autograph, and the copyist’s autograph, this paper explains the dilemma of some Late Medieval Manuscripts in Slovenian collections that were mistakenly identified as being the author’s own textual creation. The main part of this paper focuses on three mid-15th-century copyists: Martin of Loka, Matjaž Jurčič of Kapela, and Herman Talner of Trebnje. Because each of them added the name of their hometown to their signature, all three can be recognized as hailing from Slovenian places. Martin of (Škofja) Loka was an erudite man, and this is evident from his texts he wrote in German, Slovenian and Latin, as well as from his many forms of scripts. Matjaž Jurčič of Kapela was probably a freelance artist, and the colophon to his copy of an epic poem contains an inscription in Latin, German and Provençal. ABSTRACTManu National Park of southern Peru is one of the most renowned protected areas in the world, yet large‐bodied vertebrate surveys conducted to date have been restricted to Cocha Cashu Biological Station, a research station covering <0.06 percent of the 1.7 Mha park. Manu Park is occupied by >460 settled Matsigenka Amerindians, 300–400 isolated Matsigenka, and several, little‐known groups of isolated hunter–gatherers, yet the impact of these native Amazonians on game vertebrate populations within the park remains poorly understood. On the basis of 1495 km of standardized line‐transect censuses, we present density and biomass estimates for 23 mammal, bird, and reptile species for seven lowland and upland forest sites in Manu Park, including Cocha Cashu. We compare these estimates between hunted and nonhunted sites within Manu Park, and with other Neotropical forest sites. A common phenomenon associated with alluvial rivers is their meander evolution, eventually forming cutoffs. Point bar deposits and ox-bow lakes are the products of lateral bend migration and meander cutoff. The present study focuses on identifying the meanders of River Manu and their cutoffs. Moreover, this study compares the temporal evolution and predicts the progress of selected meanders of River Manu. In the present research, the Survey of India topographical map, satellite imagery, and geographic information system (GIS) technique were used to examine the evolution of the Manu River meander. Subsequently, a field visit was done to the selected cutoffs and meanders of River Manu to ascertain the present status and collect data. It has been observed that many cutoffs have undergone temporal changes, and their sizes have decreased. Some have become dried or converted to agricultural fields.
