As one of the most populous countries, Indonesia is rich of cultural heritages and local wisdoms. However, the vast majority of Indonesians lacks of awareness and knowledge on their culture due to the absence of facility to providing the information. In addition, there is no regeneration of cultural experts so that culture becomes increasingly difficult to access. Hence, this research aims to analyze and design a system (WIKIBUDAYA) to digitize cultural information as a preventive action from cultural extinction. We employ Spiral Model, which consists of the following steps: requirement elicitation, requirement analysis and specification, requirement validation, design, and design validation. In a software industry, many Software development life cycle (SDLC) models are used with a sequence of activities for system designing and maintaining system information. These models are used for the development of large scale software system like waterfall, spiral, prototype and rapid application development model. An empirical study was conducted in 2012 that proposed the many factors for the selection of any software life cycle model. Team size was considered as one of the most important factor in this study. The inter arrival time of software projects in a software industry is unsystematic and allocating the number of workers and resources to these projects sometimes results in most important deficiencies like late delivery of the project, budget overruns and disappointed client. Therefore this review will purpose a model, for the Spiral development process with the use of a simulating tool (Symphony.NET). This model supports in make best use of the development processes by keeping all employees busy, all the time for the software development. For future work, other development models like Prototype, Incremental etc. will be simulated, in order to decide which model is more effective in performance and timely delivery in the software industry.

Each application's quality is the finish results of how every step of the life cycle of software development has been managed. In order to achieve a good quality product, multiple teams and strategies are used. Software development is a crucial process that everyone is aware of. However, justice will only be done if all the phases are well involved in their respective ways. Different Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) models are commonly used for the software development. The SDLC models supply a theoretical guide to software development. The SDLC models that are very important for the systematic evolution of the software in such a way that it will be delivered within the time limit & should be of good quality as well. The proper use of SDLC enables project managers to regulate the software's entire development strategy. Every SDLC has its disadvantages and advantages in deciding which model under which situation should be executed. This paper compares various popular life cycle models such as prototype model, waterfall, prototype, rapid development of applications, V-shaped model, spiral model & incremental model.

Summary form only given, as follows. Boehm's spiral model is currently gaining popularity over the traditional waterfall software development model. The spiral model is a risk-driven approach. The process steps are determined by the need to resolve the high-risk situations-ones that have greatest chance to ruin the project. This approach contrasts with traditional document-driven approach where the process step is determined by the type of document that has to be submitted. Over a period of two years, the author applied the spiral model approach in the requirements analysis phase for four projects. These projects were with different sectors of the Thai government. The author was the head of the requirement analysis team for three projects and was responsible for quality assurance in one project. The author's experience reveals factors that foster the spiral approach's success in requirement analysis as well as factors that inhibit its effectiveness. Some of these factors include the Thai culture, governmental regulations, the educational background of the requirement engineers, the governmental employees' understanding of requirements analysis, terms in the contract, etc. The experience also reveals the risks in conducting software requirements analysis in a country that endures shortages of software engineers

Software development life cycle models play a vital role in developing a software application. This research deals with such advanced models which are the evolutionary models namely: incremental model, and spiral model. Both these models have their own advantages and disadvantages as well. The main objective of this research paper is to represent the two evolutionary models' features and limitations.

Pada tulisan ini kami akan mengulas tentang perkembangan dalam metode pengembangan suatu rekaya perangkat lunak. Pertama kita meninjau keadaan perkembangan metode dalam pengembangan rekayasa perangkat lunak. Telah banyak metode yang di usulkan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas dalam mengembangkan rekayasa perangkat lunak. Dalam tulisan ini juga membahas tentang kelebihan serta kekurangan metode dan model pengembangan rekayasa perangkat lunak. Oleh karena itu tujuan penulisan ini agar dapat mengetahui fitur dan cacat dari masing – masing model.

To satisfy the need of automate the different activities and satisfy the need of some standard and structural procedure or methodology which to be introduced in the industry so that the transition from manual to automated system became easy. This leads to the concept of System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) Models came into existence that emphasized on the need to follow some structured approach towards building new or improved system. There are five development models namely Linear Sequential Model, Iterative Model, Prototype Model, Spiral Model, V-shaped Model. All these models have cons as well as prons. The main objective of this research is to represent the different models of software development and make a comparative study of them to show the features and defects of each model.

Abstrak – Seiring berkembangnya media dan teknologi, Depok telah tumbuh menjadi salah satu Kota yang pertumbuhannya semakin tinggi Pemerintah Kota Depok mempunyai Rencana Pembangunan Jangka Menengah Daerah (RPJMD) pada tahun 2016-2021. Salah satu strategi unggulan yang mendorong Pemerintah Kota Depok khususnya Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika (DISKOMINFO) dalam mewujudkan RPJMD dibidang teknologi yaitu dengan dibuatnya program smart city. Kebutuhan akan sebuah aplikasi yang bisa mengelola, mengintegrasikan, dan memantau data kota Depok sangat dibutuhkan tentunya oleh Organisasi Perangkat Daerah (OPD). Dengan adanya website Admin Hi-Depok, maka data-data yang ada pada aplikasi android dan website Hi-Depok akan terintegrasi. Website admin ini juga berfungsi sebagai pengarsipan, pengawasan, penyaringan, dan alat untuk pengeksekusian data yang akan ditampilkan ke publik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan aplikasi website admin Hi-Depok agar dapat digunakan oleh admin dalam mengelola data yang akan ditampilkan kepada user android dan website Hi-Depok. Dalam pengembangan aplikasi ini menggunakan metode Spiral yang memiliki 6 tahapan dan dalam pembuatannya menggunakan framework Laravel. Hasil dari pengembangan aplikasi ini yaitu website admin Hi-Depok yang berfungsi sebagai integrasi dan kelola data dari sistem Hi-Depok.

Employing the spiral model, this research analyses how anti-human trafficking legislation was promulgated during the Ma Ying-jeou (Ma Yingjiu) presidency. This research found that the government of Taiwan was just as accountable for the violation of mi-grants' human rights as the exploitive placement agencies and abusive employers. This research argues that, given its reliance on the United States for political and security support, Taiwan has made great efforts to improve its human rights records and meet US standards for protecting human rights. The reform was a result of multilevel inputs, including US pressure and collaboration between transnational and domestic advocacy groups. A major contribution of this research is to challenge the belief that human rights protection is intrinsic to democracy. In the same light, this research also cautions against Taiwan's subscription to US norms since the reform was achieved at the cost of stereotyping trafficking victimhood, legitimising state surveillance, and further marginalising sex workers.

Software Engineering is a branch of Computer Science that evolved as a result of urgent need to deal with decades of software crisis, characterized by low theoretical knowledge and practice of the construction of error-free and efficient software. The introduction of well-organized scientific, engineering and management strategies in the process of software development no doubt led to major breakthroughs, and solutions to software failures. One of the obvious game-changer in this regard is the evolution of Software Development Life Cycle, also known as Software Process Model for driving the different phases of software construction. A sound understanding of the process model is therefore inevitable, not just for software developers, but also to users and researchers. Such a theoretical cum practical understanding will enhance decisions on which process model is best for a particular job or perspective. This invariably, contributes immensely to the probability of success or failure of the project in question. Thus, the necessity for this research. This work presents an unambiguous expository of selected software development model variants. A total of four process model variants were studied, in a theoretical, visual and analytical manner. The variants were analyzed using strength versus weakness (SVW) tabular scenario. This work was concluded by presenting guides towards choice of these models. This research is expected to be a useful reference to software practitioners and researchers.

Özet İnternetle birlikte topluma yayılmaya başlayan yeni teknolojiler ve özellikle de iletişim teknolojileri toplum yapısında önemli değişimlere yol açmaya başlamıştır. Günümüzde neredeyse her ortamda internete erişimin olması, bireylerin sürekli olarak mobil araçlara başvurması ve iletişim halinde olma yönündeki isteği en nihayetinde akıllı telefonların yaşamın büyük bir parçası olarak atfedilmesine yol açmıştır. Yeni teknolojileri denemek/satın almak için sabırsızca bekleyen bireylerin bu teknolojilere katılma yönünde oldukça gönüllü olması da toplumda akla gelen en keskin değişimlerdendir. Yapılan araştırmalar geleneksel medya araçlarının Z kuşağı bireylerine ya da dijital yerlilere fazla bir anlam ifade etmediğini göstermektedir. Bu bağlamda teknoloji çağında yetişip yeni medya ekolojisini benimseyen öğrencilerle dolu bir odaya geleneksel medya araçları çerçevesinden konuşmak pek de ilgi çekici gelmemektedir. Yeni medya araçlarını hayatlarının odak noktasına yerleştirenler için bir iletişim döngüsü söz konusudur. Η παρούσα εργασία εστιάζει στην αξιοποίηση της σπειροειδούς μάθησης, των ομάδων κατάρτισης καθώς και της προσομοίωσης ως σημαντικών εργαλείων για την ένταξη στο χώρο εργασίας. Η εργασία αναδεικνύει τις δυνατότητες αξιοποίησης των παραπάνω μεθόδων και εργαλείων στην περίοδο της πανδημίας και της ψηφιακής αλλαγής. Παρουσιάζονται τα στάδια και οι βασικές παράμετροι της σπειροειδούς μάθησης, τα παιχνίδια προσομοίωσης στον κύκλο των διδακτικών πρακτικών και μεθόδων καθώς και οι ομάδες κατάρτισης (Τ-groups). Η εργασία προτείνει παραδείγματα και καλές πρακτικές τόσο από το χώρο της τριτοβάθμιας εκπαίδευσης όσο και από το χώρο των οργανισμών και ένα μοντέλο εκπαίδευσης προσαρμοσμένο σε πραγματικές εργασιακές συνθήκες.

Opening books play a vital part in the performance of current chess programs. Use of the opening book places the chess program in a position that is already several moves into the game and can be positionally inferior. A method for acquiring opening knowledge about a specific opponent is presented. The method analyzes the historic performance of the opponent to find the opening sequences that are known to the opponent. Knowledge about the opening preferences of an opponent affords a strategic advantage to a chess program. The performance of this method is demonstrated and analyzed. Current chess programs that utilize knowledge about the opening repertoire of an opponent will be able to decrease the size of their opening books and can develop a game strategy from the start of the chess game instead of the beginning of the middle game.
