Storia delle indulgenze

Ovim se člankom, slijedeći uvide teologa Karla Rahnera, žele ponuditi sadržajna uporišta za prikladnu hermeneutiku oprosta vremenitih kazni, danas jednu od najnejasnijih teoloških kategorija, s ciljem njihova revitaliziranja u dušobrižništvu Crkve. Prvo poglavlje donosi povijesni presjek razvoja oprosta, a drugo poglavlju tematizira vremenite kazne za grijeh, kao preduvjet razumijevanja oprosta. Te su kazne grješne posljedice prethodne pokornikove grješnosti koje otežavaju njegovo istinsko obraćenje, tj. navikavanje njegove slobode i svih situacija na primljeno Božje milosrđe. U trećem se poglavlju razvijaju ekleziološko-antropološki vidovi teologije oprosta, polazeći od činjenice da na putu cjelovitoga obraćenja pokornik nije sam. Upravo po oprostima, kao zagovorničkoj molitvi Crkve, kojom se vjerniku pred Bogom otpuštaju vremenite kazne, njegovo obraćenje posebice je poduhvaćeno zajedništvom i solidarnošću Crkve. U zaključnom dijelu dodatno se tumači temeljna teza članka: navikavanje čovjekove slobode na Boga (μετάνοια) počinje sakramentom pomirenja, vodi putem ozbiljne pokore i biva poduhvaćeno oprostima kao izvanrednom pomoći Crkve da se istinsko obraćenje brže i sretnije dogodi.

The Kupferstichkabinett of Berlin houses the only known impression of a rather large single-sheet woodcut, likely cut in Venice in the 1490s. Extensively damaged, the broadsheet displays an unusual image related to the cult of the Rosary and, amongst other inscriptions, two scrolls or tablets bearing a substantial text. Centering on the Berlin woodcut, this article first focuses on its dating and attribution, the development of its complex imagery, and its visual legacy. Next, the role of prints in the early years of the diffusion of the cult of the Rosary is addressed, exploring the reasons why this specific medium was particularly apt for this devotion. Finally, in order to reach a better understanding of the different aims of the woodcut, its textual component is discussed and compared with other contemporary sources.

Cieľom práce je oboznámiť čitateľa s odpustkovými listinami z obdobia pontifikátu „avignonského“ pápeža Inocenta VI. (18. december 1352 – 12. september 1362), ktoré sa nachádzajú v druhej edícii Monumenta Vaticana Slovaciae. Na úvod práca vysvetľuje čo sú odpustky, ako sa vyvíjali a prečo sa stali hlavným predmetom reformácie. Práca pokračuje analýzou konkrétnych odpustkov z daného obdobia. Na záver práca porovnáva odpustkové listiny za pontifikátu Inocenta VI. s odpustkovými listinami za pontifikátu jeho predchodcu Klementa VI. (1342 - 1352).

The aim of this work is to familiarize the reader with the indulgence charters during the pontificate of the „Avignon“ Pope Innocent VI. (18 December 1352 – 12 September 1362), which are in the second edition of the Monumenta Vaticana Slovaciae. At the beginning, the work explains what are the indulgences, as they evolved and why they became the main subject of the reformation. The work continues with analysis of specific indulgences from the period mentioned. Finally, the work tries to compare indulgence charters during the pontificate of Innocent VI. and during the pontificate of his predecessor Klement VI. (1342 – 1352).
