También en griego antiguo existen unidades fraseológicas con referente geográfico que reflejan los rasgos característicos que se atribuían a los habitantes de una determinada ciudad o región. Nos ocuparemos en concreto de las unidades fraseológicas relacionadas con la antigua Region (actual Reggio) y otras ciudades de la antigua Calabria (Síbaris, Crotona, Terina). Estudiaremos las informaciones que transmiten los textos griegos antiguos (y medievales) sobre el sentido en que se usaban esas expresiones y sobre su origen, analizando en concreto las siguientes formas: «ser más cobarde que los de Regio» (῾Ρηγίνων δειλότερος) y «liebre de Regio» (Ῥηγῖνος λαγώς); dos expresiones que tienen como protagonista al poeta del siglo VI a.C. Íbico de Regio, «ser más anticuado que Íbico» (ἀρχαιότερος Ἰβύκου) y «las grullas de Íbico» (αἱ Ἰβύκου γέρανοι); la locución «arte de Glauco» (Γλαύκου τέχνη), que probablemente haga referencia al músico pitagórico Glauco de Regio (V-IV a.C.); otras expresiones que se refieren a los sibaritas y a los célebres atletas de Crotona (y de Terina). Opinion mining analyse the word written in a natural language about a subject and categorize them as positive negative or neutral based on the human's sentiments, emotion, opinions expressed in it. Today user opinions and comments on products on the web are increasing day by day. These comments are useful for other users to buy a product. The manual investigation of such enormous number of reviews is practically not possible. To solve this difficulty an automatic approach of a machine to mine the overall sentiment or opinion polarity from the reviews is needed. This paper focus on the feature based opinion mining of product reviews.

Much of the critical information in a patient's electronic health record (EHR) is hidden in unstructured text. As such, there is an increasing role for automated text extraction and summarization to make this information available in a way that can be quickly and easily understood. While many clinical note text extraction techniques have been examined, most existing techniques are either narrowly targeted or focus primarily on concept-level extraction, potentially missing important contextual information. In contrast, in this work we examine the extraction of several clinical categories at the phrase level, attempting to provide the necessary context while still keeping the extracted elements concise. To do so, we employ a three-stage pipeline which extracts categorized phrases of interest using clinical concepts as anchor points. Results suggest the proposed method achieves performance comparable to that of individual human annotators.

En este proyecto se busca utilizar técnicas de aprendizaje automático para analizar y procesar textos que pueden estar en formato estructurado como no estructurado. Se han desarrollado un conjunto de herramientas que pueden ser utilizadas en el área de computación lingüística para diversos fines, entre los que se encuentran construcción de material de entrenamiento, procesamiento de datos estructurados y detección de similitudes entre fragmentos de textos. Los problemas que se abordan en este proyecto son, entre otros, reconocimiento de implicación de textos e identificación de paráfrasis. En este artículo se presenta la línea de investigación en la que se encuentra el proyecto, y se describen tres herramientas desarrolladas enel mismo.

В статье предлагается сравнительный анализ трех переводов (А. Александру, З. Канаса, С. Патадзиса) с русского на новогреческий язык эпизода разговора Раскольникова с Мармеладовым. В основе исповедального сказа героя о своей жизни и его семье лежат оформленные и скрытые евангельские цитаты и аллюзии, фокусирующие внимание на особой роли Сони в преображении Раскольникова. Переводчику как профессиональному читателю необходимо распознать эту центральную смысловую линию и адекватно воспроизвести, используя ресурсы переводящего языка. Однако критический разбор вторичных текстов и сопоставление их с оригиналом убеждают в том, что евангельские цитаты и аллюзии далеко не во всех случаях воспроизведены в полном смысловом объеме. Евангельский текст часто не распознается переводчиками, которые, стремясь приблизить мысль Достоевского к читателю, не знающему литургический текст, осознанно упрощают перевод. We present JUST.ASK, a publicly available Question Answering system, which is freely available. Its architecture is composed of the usual Question Processing, Passage Retrieval and Answer Extraction components. Several details on the information generated and manipulated by each of these components are also provided to the user when interacting with the demonstration. Since JUST.ASK also learns to answer new questions based on users’ feedback, (s)he is invited to identify the correct answers. These will then be used to retrieve answers to future questions.

In this study, we set two goals: develop and test a method for assessing a person's motivational profile, based on psychological and content analysis of the text and applicable to motivation for sports and a healthy lifestyle and test automated text analysis programs based on artificial intelligence and compare their performance with each other and with traditional expert content analysis. The selection of programs was made from 65 text analysis programs and 12 artificial intelligence-based chatbots. A total of 12 texts were used for the study, including three long interviews and speeches, and 9 short (2-6 sentences) posts on social media and online media. The evaluated texts contain 5,787 words, of which 91% are originally in Chinese and 9% in English. The content analysis methodology was substantiated in detail in our previous publications.

The article provides a brief historical overview of the development of text analysis methods. Psycholinguistic research and information technology played a significant role in this. They were the decisive factors that determined the current state of this area of ​​scientific research. Psycholinguistic research made it possible to link first written text, and later oral speech, with the psychological characteristics of an individual, his personality traits and thinking, which subsequently, in combination with the capabilities of modern computers, gave a new impetus to the study of human behavior, expanding the boundaries of scientific research in economics and marketing. The authors tested and analyzed over 50 software products for text analysis, identified the main functions of the software and proposed the main directions of their use in marketing research.

Actually, the ability to identify the documents authors provides more chances for using these documents for various purposes. In this paper, we present a new effective biometric writer identification system from online handwriting. The system consists of the preprocessing and the segmentation of online handwriting into a sequence of Beta strokes in a first step. Then, from each stroke, we extract a set of static and dynamic features from new proposed model that we called Extended Beta-Elliptic model and from the Fuzzy Elementary Perceptual Codes. Next, all the segments which are composed of N consecutive strokes are categorized into groups and subgroups according to their position and their geometric characteristics. Finally, Deep Neural Network is used as classifier. Experimental results reveal that the proposed system achieves interesting results as compared to those of the existing writer identification systems on Latin and Arabic scripts.

ENG: On the occasion of the launch of the "Research with School" platform, we conducted a validation check of the Soft Skills Self-evaluation Questionnaire – 3SQ aimed at exploring the soft skills of students and education practitioners. Starting with a sample of nearly 7,000 respondents, collected between 2018 and 2023, an analysis aimed at investigating the variation in some personal skills was carried out, and it was found that openness to others, collaboration, empathy and curiosity were found to have increased in the post-pandemic period. Analyses with respect to the background variables gender and age showed that soft skills tend to increase with age, and those who identify with the male gender have significantly higher values of resilience and self-confidence. Finally, the cluster analysis revealed three distinct profiles, one of which is characterized by having high values of empathy and openness to others in the face of low self-confidence and low values of autonomy and resilience. The results pose numerous insights for further research.

IT: In occasione del lancio della piattaforma “Ricerca con la scuola”, abbiamo proceduto a una verifica della validazione del questionario Io, me e gli altri, mirato ad esplorare le soft skills di studenti e professionisti dell’educazione. A partire da un campione di quasi 7000 rispondenti, raccolto fra il 2018 e il 2023, è stata effettuata un’analisi tesa a indagare la variazione di alcune abilità personali ed è emerso che nel post-pandemia risultano aumentate l’apertura verso gli altri, la collaborazione,
l’empatia cognitiva e la curiosità. Dalle analisi rispetto alle variabili di sfondo genere ed età è emerso che le soft skills tendono ad aumentare con l’età e che coloro che si identificano nel genere maschile presentano valori significativamente più alti di resilienza e fiducia in sé stessi. Infine, la cluster analysis ha evidenziato tre profili ben distinti, uno dei quali si caratterizza per avere alti valori di empatia cognitiva e apertura verso gli altri a fronte di poca fiducia in sé e valori bassi di autonomia e resilienza. I risultati pongono numerosi spunti per ulteriori ricerche.

The scientific article titled "Feedforward Artificial
Neural Network for Sentiment Analysis based on the UNITEC
Social Network Twitter" explores the use of feedforward neural
networks in sentiment analysis on Twitter. It focuses on how
public perceptions of the Central American Technological
University (UNITEC) are reflected on social networks. Using a
feedforward neural network model, the study analyzes the
sentiments of UNITEC-related tweets to better understand the
university's online reputation. The project includes the
development of a desktop application that facilitates interaction
with the neural network model, allowing for quick and easy
sentiment analysis. The results show that the network is effective
in classifying sentiments, providing a valuable tool for online
reputation management and contributing to knowledge about the
application of artificial intelligence in sentiment analysis in social
networks.

在後現代思潮影響下，諮商者愈來愈可能採用晤談方法來衡鑑案主的生涯興趣，但興趣衡鑑與量表測量的結果會有差別嗎？在哪些維度差別較大、哪些較小？造成差別的可能來源為何？Barclay與其同儕的研究顯示，興趣衡鑑與量表測量的結果為弱相關、中剖面相關。本研究以208位大學生為樣本進行調查，研究結果亦複現出類似現象：本研究的剖面相關亦為雙峰分布，約四分之一個案在兩種評量方法有高度相似結果，惟整體而言，訪談衡鑑與量表測量的相關係數屬弱相關範疇，A與S維度兩方法亦有顯著相關，E與C亦無顯著相關。除複現Barclay與其同儕的研究外，本研究進一步採用文字分析與內容分析嘗試探索這些差別現象，探索結果一方面支持了Savickas主張的量表測量與晤談衡鑑之評量標的是有所差別的看法，晤談衡鑑的是人們已經外現出之興趣，量表測量的則是人們對量表題項清單喜好態度，二者不僅是方法的不同，評量標的也是彼此有異。另一方面，本研究提出差別現象的另一影響來源～一詞多屬性，並指出一詞多屬性在心理學與自然語言處理遭逢時的重要性與潛在研究需求。

Cosa si può fare con la malattia mentale nei contesti che non hanno mandato per occuparsene? Esiste l'idea che la malattia mentale sia circoscritta entro le famiglie o entro i luoghi deputati a trattarla, ma le persone che definiamo "con problemi di malattia mentale" frequentano la scuola? Lavorano? Chiedono documenti a un Comune? Pagano le tasse? I contesti dei quali si parlerà (il carcere, la scuola, un ufficio ministeriale, alcuni reparti ospedalieri) sono concentrati su obiettivi altri dal trattamento del disagio psichico, ma come vedremo non sono estranei a situazioni di malattia mentale né sono estranei a tentativi di occuparsene. Entro l'insieme delle possibili esperienze di contesti che abbiamo chiamato "senza mandato" si tratteranno alcuni casi nei quali la malattia mentale ha portato problemi difficili da affrontare, ma ha anche consentito di ridefinire gli obiettivi e l'organizzazione dei contesti che, incidentalmente, la incontrano. The article presents the results of the comparative research and testing of programs and chatbots based on artificial intelligence in order to determine the type of client's personality using the DISC method. The purpose of this study is to draw conclusions about the comparative effectiveness of the automated programs of psychometric text-based analysis and the possibility of their use in practice. We have analyzed 62 text mining programs and 11 artificial intelligence chatbots using automated language models and identified those that are capable of psychometric text analysis based on the DISC methodology. Using selected programs, we analyzed the text of social media posts and interviews of the selected company leader in order to determine his psychological characteristics and personality type. The studied programs are able to determine the personality type based on his/her texts and social networks, however, in our opinion, today such an assessment is not as reliable as with direct psychometric testing of a person and observation of his/her behavior in real life. This method of studying a person is quite useful from a marketing point of view and allows to prepare a product and business offer based on the psychological characteristics of a potential client.

This study intended to determine how the elimination of gallows variants from the transcription set change the results of statistical queries on the Voynich manuscript. It was hypothesized that the gallows variants in the Voynich manuscript alphabet are null characters, and that removing them would not have a statistically relevant impact on correlational power curves. Voynich-based text samples were created that manipulated and removed gallows variants in different ways. These were analyzed and compared to the original text, looking for similarity and divergence. The actual analysis was a straightforward application of Spearman's rank correlation coefficient to nine separate data samples, along with the source text and two natural language control files written in vulgate Latin and Arabic, respectively. The study demonstrated that the removal of gallows variants effected the statistical measures in ways inconsistent with null characters.
