A stateless architecture design is a web architecture design that typically does not persist data in any database and such applications also does not require any kind of backup storage. Data that flows through a stateless service is data in transition and such data is never stored in any data store. The processing requests that arrive to such architecture does not rely on information gathered or persisted from any previous session. API (Application programming interface) which consists of subroutines, definitions & procedures that can access data on the applications are the communication points between applications and management of API endpoints using stateless architecture is less complex as there is no server side retention of the client session and each client sends requisite information in each request to the server. GraphQL and RESTful services are means of designing such API architecture. This paper discusses and explains in detail both GraphQL and REST API architecture design and management methods and does an analysis of the potential benefits of GraphQL over REST in Stateless architectural API designs.

Menguruskan uri merupakan salah satu adat menyambut kelahiran bayi yang diamalkan dalam masyarakat Melayu sejak zaman silam.
Sebahagian amalan dan tatacara dalam menguruskan uri
tersebut melibatkan unsur kepercayaan tertentu. Sehubungan dengan itu, kajian ini memfokuskan tentang analisis amalan pengurusan uri dalam masyarakat Melayu menurut perspektif hukum Islam. Untuk  mencapai objektif tersebut, pengkaji menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif iaitu kajian kepustakaan dan kajian lapangan yang melibatkan temu bual bidan kampung yang berpengalaman dalam proses menyambut kelahiran bayi. Data-data yang dikumpulkan dianalisis  kandungannya secara induktif dan komparatif. Hasil kajian mendapati bahawa sebahagian daripada amalan pengurusan uri dalam tradisi masyarakat adalah selari dengan syariat Islam, manakala sebahagian yang lain pula bercanggah dengan Syarak. Sehubungan dengan itu, masyarakat perlulah berhati-hati dalam mengamalkan sebarang adat tradisi dan kepercayaan agar tidak terjerumus ke kancah khurafat.

The Linked Data initiative has given rise to an increasing number of RDF datasets, many of which are freely accessible online. These resources often arise as a result of database exports; however sufficient consideration may not be given to the unseen implications caused when they are used in the wider context of the Semantic Web. This paper investigates two popular resources, DBLP and DBpedia, and discusses whether the issues regarding identity management and co-reference resolution have been suitably addressed. We find that a large percentage of authors in DBLP have been conflated, and that disambiguation pages have been incorrectly linked using owl:sameAs within DBpedia. Systems for dealing with these issues are presented, and directions are given for future research.

Abstract. The Web of Data is growing at an ever increasing rate, with RDF datasets being produced in the order of billions of triples. The effect of this increase has meant that many entities for which knowledge is being published have developed a number of URI synonyms. Managing URI synonymity plays an important part in establishing a solid foundation for data inter-linkage. This paper sets out an architecture for managing URI equivalences on the Web of Data by using Consistent Reference Services. A Use Case is presented to highlight the importance of managing identity and several advantages and disadvantages of using the CRS over other coreference resolution methods are discussed.

Rodent self-grooming is an important, evolutionarily conserved behavior, highly sensitive to pharmacological and genetic manipulations. Mice with aberrant grooming phenotypes are currently used to model various human disorders. Therefore, it is critical to understand the biology of grooming behavior, and to assess its translational validity to humans. The present in-silico study used publicly available gene expression and behavioral data obtained from several inbred mouse strains in the open-field, light-dark box, elevated plus- and elevated zero-maze tests. As grooming duration differed between strains, our analysis revealed several candidate genes with significant correlations between gene expression in the brain and grooming duration. In this paper, we describe two examples of implementations of the Media Fragments URI specification which is currently being developed by the W3C Media Fragments Working Group. The group’s mission is to create standard addressing schemes for media fragments on the Web using Uniform Resource Identifiers (URIs). We describe two scenarios to illustrate the implementations. More specifically, we show how User Agents (UA) will either be able to resolve media fragment URIs without help from the server, or will make use of a media fragments-aware server. Finally, we present some ongoing discussions and issues regarding the implementation of the Media Fragments specification.

This work could serve as a guide not only for other multilingual DBpedias, but for publishing linked data in languages based on non-Latin character sets as well.

O conceito de repositórios digitais distribuídos e interoperáveis - sejam eles bibliotecas ou arquivos digitais - para ser viável, depende fortemente de uma infra-estrutura de identificação persistente e da confiabilidade do esquema de links entre recursos informacionais distintos, porém relacionados, de forma a assegurar ao usuário o acesso contínuo e conveniente aos conteúdos digitais. Neste trabalho, descreve-se o atual estado da arte da identificação persistente na Internet e da vinculação por links, tendo como foco a interoperabilidade das bibliotecas digitais de arquitetura aberta. Contrastam-se as diversas abordagens e analisam-se os mais importantes esquemas e o relacionamento entre eles: URN, PURL, DOI, CrossRef, Handle System and OpenURL.
