Many SACCOS in Tanzania face problems of poor management, embezzlement, lack of working capital, high loan delinquency rates and poor business practices. Poor management and lack of commitment has resulted in many SACCOS having high levels of Non-Performing Loans (NPL) hence threatening their survival.The challenges facing MFIs and SACCOS in managing their credit portfolio prompted us to develop a web based financial and credit management system called SACCO MIS in 2014. The system developed was built on open source core, is capable of managing SACCOS and MFI revenue, expenditure, members’ contributions, shares as well as bookkeeping and loan processing.

As scalable information technology evolves to a
more cloud-like model, digital assets (code, data and software
environments) that increasingly form the basis of research and
education require curation as web-accessible services. “Serviceizing”
digital assets consists of encapsulating assets in software
that exposes them to web and mobile applications via welldefined,
network accessible, application programming interfaces
(APIs). The stability, maintenance, and lifecycle of these APIs
is critical to the utility of the digital assets they serve. Our
work focuses on the development methodologies and technologies
for API governance – policy, implementation, and deployment
functions for IT management of APIs at scale. This paper
presents our view of API governance in a technology landscape
that is trending towards reliance on web services. It also outlines
some early results generated by our investigation of a prototype
we are developing for implementing API governance at scale.

Node.JS is an RTE (application run time environment). In web application architecture server-side applications provide complex processing capability (similar to desktop applications). So if the blood is not available at the nearest blood bank, the user can use this online dbms system and get it as soon as possible and can save someone's life. This system is easy to use entering basing registration details.

Mobile phones are nowadays, far more than merely communication devices. In particular,
Smartphones and Tablets are products that help to make our work and everyday life
easier. Along with the advance in technology and popularity of these devices, the use
of mobile applications increased enormously in the last few years. Based on new
techniques like Global Positioning System (GPS) and sensors, like compass and
accelerometer, that can determine the orientation of the device, location-based applications
coupled with augmented reality views are possible. In the context of this project, a navigation
system that incorporates a mobile application for the Tai Solarin University of Education is
developed. The system architecture and design were presented. The technologies used for the
implementation of the application include Google Map API, HTML, Android development
kit, and Intel XDK. The resulting application enables the user to find paths to specific locations
and provides location-based information on buildings, roads, and other facilities on the campus.
This application developed offers visitors the ability to explore university campus facilities
via mobile devices.

criação de aplicações híbridas e sociais. Esta arquitetura é vista como um símbolo de mudança
de paradigma no que se refere a desenvolvimento de aplicações para web.
Hoje as aplicações relevantes para as pessoas são híbridas, pois misturam em sua
estrutura conteúdo de mais de uma fonte de dados, e sociais, pois dizem respeito a atividades
e perfis pelos quais as pessoas criam suas vidas virtuais na web.
Inseparável desta arquitetura, também é apresentada uma ferramenta voltada ao
desenvolvedor de aplicações que retira de sua agenda as horas gastas com programação

In traditional claim management system, Extension of Time (EOT) claims often lead to disputes among key construction stakeholders. This necessitates shifting traditional system to a digital environment for efficient processing. This research, therefore, focuses on utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology for developing a BIM-Based Claims Management System (BIM-CMS) to manage EOT claims. Twenty-nine problematic issues in prevalent EOT claim management process are extracted through an extensive literature review and semi-structured interviews of industry experts. Using Application Programming Interface, a plugin is developed in Autodesk Revit for managing EOT claims. The developed plugin is evaluated by industry's experts, who opined that BIM-CMS can be used to a great extent, as a tool to resolve most of the identified issues. It is also expected to proficiently mitigate potential disputes among contracting parties. The study also highlights barriers to BIM-CMS implementation and proposes corrective measures.

Untuk mendapatkan data akademik melalui API UAJY, mahasiswa memerlukan satu aplikasi yang melayani mereka melalui pendekatan tanya jawab, yaitu aplikasi ChatBot. Aplikasi ChatBot UAJY memberikan informasi yang spesifik dan mengarahkan mahasiswa kepada topik perkuliahan. Sumber data ChatBot UAJY berasal dari datawarehouse Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta. Dengan adanya otomatisasi layanan tersebut, ChatBot UAJY diharapkan menjadi solusi terbaik untuk mendapatkan informasi perkuliahan di Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta.

Los tanques superficiales cilíndricos son ampliamente utilizados para almacenamiento de fluidos en diversos sectores económicos. La consecuencia por la falla de este tipo de estructuras puede provocar cortes en la distribución de agua potable y derrames de fluidos peligrosos, entre otros. En este trabajo se muestra un análisis comparativo de las disposiciones normativas para el análisis sísmico de acuerdo con el Eurocódigo 8, API 650, AWWA D100 y CDS-MDOC CFE. Para ello, se consideró una torre de oscilación de 40m de altura y 10m de diámetro y se evaluó su respuesta estructural ante una excitación sísmica de alta intensidad. Los parámetros comparados fueron el cortante basal, el momento de volteo y la altura de ola.

Cylindrical superficial tanks for storing fluids are widely used in various economic sectors. The consequences of failure in such structures can cause cuts on the drinking or firefighting water supplies, spills of hazardous materials, among others. In this paper, a comparative of the code provisions for the seismic analysis according to the Eurocode-8, API 650, AWWA D100, and MDOC CFE is presented, for a high intensity seismic response of a 40m tall and 10m in diameter cylindrical tank. The parameters compared were the base shear, the overturning moment and the sloshing wave height.

In this note we will explore ways to secure APIs after explosion of internet and the large amount of sensitive data and applications exist in the web today, we focus on OAuth 2.0, that is a modern standard protocol based on delegated authorizations, highlighting its mechanism, features, the different methods of authorizations and when and how to use them. We built an API server with OAuth integrated in, and a client application that demonstrate the most common authorization grant type, in order to simulate the data consuming case and how it affects by OAuth.

What are the pathways for spreading disinformation on social media platforms? This article addresses this question by collecting, categorising, and situating an extensive body of research on how application programming interfaces (APIs) provided by social media platforms facilitate the spread of disinformation. We first examine the landscape of official social media APIs, then perform quantitative research on the open-source code repositories GitHub and GitLab to understand the usage patterns of these APIs. By inspecting the code repositories, we classify developers' usage of the APIs as official and unofficial, and further develop a four-stage framework characterising pathways for spreading disinformation on social media platforms. We further highlight how the stages in the framework were activated during the 2016 US Presidential Elections, before providing policy recommendations for issues relating to access to APIs, algorithmic content, advertisements, and suggest rapid response to coordinate campaigns, development of collaborative, and participatory approaches as well as government stewardship in the regulation of social media platforms.

UIN SUSKA Riau. OpenData merupakan pusat data akademik yang tersedia secara
bebas untuk diakses dan dimanfaatkan oleh pengguna. Dalam penyajiannya
OpenData menyajikan data dalam bentuk format penulisan JavaScript Object
Notation (JSON). Oleh karena itu untuk mendapatkan data mutu akademik yang
akurat da n mudah dipahami oleh pengguna masih sulit. Tujuan dari pembuatan
aplikasi ini yaitu mengubah data tersebut kedalam bentuk grafik dan tabel. Salah
satu cara untuk memanajemen data tersebut agar mudah dipahami oleh pengguna
adalah dengan menggunakan teknik visualisasi data. Hasil dari aplikasi yang sudah
dibangun telah berhasil digunakan yaitu menampilkan data akademik UIN SUSKA
Riau dalam bentuk grafik dan tabel. Aplikasi yang telah dibangun dapat membantu
dan memudahkan dalam memenuhi kebutuhan informasi setiap pengguna.

A stateless architecture design is a web architecture design that typically does not persist data in any database and such applications also does not require any kind of backup storage. Data that flows through a stateless service is data in transition and such data is never stored in any data store. The processing requests that arrive to such architecture does not rely on information gathered or persisted from any previous session. API (Application programming interface) which consists of subroutines, definitions & procedures that can access data on the applications are the communication points between applications and management of API endpoints using stateless architecture is less complex as there is no server side retention of the client session and each client sends requisite information in each request to the server. GraphQL and RESTful services are means of designing such API architecture. This paper discusses and explains in detail both GraphQL and REST API architecture design and management methods and does an analysis of the potential benefits of GraphQL over REST in Stateless architectural API designs.

This study is tried to investigate the flow characteristics and velocity imaging of a diesel fuel through a diffuser pipe in a
storage tank. The fuel in the tank shall be spread into a tank in a range of as wide as possible. The ANSYS FLUENT software is used to get data and plots to understand situation and solve the problem.

There are constant and ongoing research and innovations to enhance speech processes for ease of communication for all, but most especially those with disabilities. With recent technology advancements, voice recognition has gained a massive acceptance particularly, when it comes to making communications with machines more natural and seamless. Voice technologies is increasingly being applied in many electronic devices most especially phones, personal computers, and web browsers. This is achieved mainly using a Speech Recognition System (SRS). In this write-up, some of the models, approaches, Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), performance metrics used in SRS are reviewed. Thereafter, a sample implementation of one of the common APIs, JavaScript Web Speech API, was presented; noting particularly the simplicity with which speech recognition using APIs we can achieved, with just a basic knowledge of programming language.

During the research, the following tasks have been performed: the analysis of notification systems for their use in the educational process, identification of problems of notifying students about the schedule (dynamic environment, traditional presentation of information, lack of round-the-clock access), substantiation of the choice of mobile technologies and Telegram messenger, determination of the requirements to the software, generalization of the chatbot functioning features, description of the structure, functionality of the program to get information about the schedule using a chatbot. The following tasks have been programmatically implemented: obtaining data from several pages of a spreadsheet (faculty / institute, red / green week, group number, day of the week, period number, discipline name, information about the teacher); presentation of data in a convenient form for the messenger (XML); implementation of the mechanism of convenient presentation of data in the messenger (chatbot). Using Python and the Telegram API, the software has been designed to increase students; immediacy in getting the information about the schedules, minimizing the time spent, and optimizing of planning of student activities and higher education institution functioning.

Single  Sign  On  (SSO)  merupakan  model  otentikasi  independen  yang  diimplementasikan  Universitas Ubudiyah  Indonesia  (UUI)  menggunakan  Message-Digest  Algorithm  5  (MD5)  dan  web  service  NuSOAP  berbasis bahasa  pemograman  PHP.  Sistem  ini  berjalan  pada  protokol  Hypertext  Transfer  Protocol  (HTTP).  Faktanya penggunaan protokol HTTP ini sangat rentan terhadap berbagai jenis serangan karena data dikirim dalam bentuk plaintext  tanpa  ada  proses  enkripsi  dan  penerapan  algoritma  MD5  pada  otentikasi  login  juga  rentan  terhadap serangan  dictionary  attacks  dan  rainbow  tables.  Disisi  lain,  Penggunaan  web  service  NuSOAP  juga  menciptakan celah  keamanan  karena  pengiriman  dan  penerimaan  payload  tidak  dienkripsi.  Saat  ini  diketahui  sudah  ada beberapa  metode  yang  dapat  digunakan  untuk  meningkatkan  pengamanan  kerentanan  tersebut  diantaranya yaitu  menggunakan  Hypertext  Transfer  Protocol  Secure  (HTTPS),  Secure  Hypertext  Transfer  Protocol  (SHTTP) dan Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart (CAPTCHA). Namun beberapa hasil penelitian terkait memperlihatkan masih terdapat beberapa kelemahan dari penggunaan HTTPS, SHTTP, dan CAPTCHA. Penelitian ini mengusulkan penggunaan algoritma Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) dengan pembangkit kunci dinamis dan metode One-Time Password (OTP) berbasis sinkronisasi waktu dengan kombinasi salt untuk meningkatkan keamanan pada otentikasi SSO UUI. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan penerapan algoritma AES dan OTP  dapat mengamankan proses otentikasi SSO  dari serangan dictionary attack dan rainbow table.

To sustain life in the built environment, infrastructural resource systems have been designed and constructed to provide a regional population with “lifeline” resource units such as food (KCals), communications (MHz), energy (MWhs), water (MGDs) and to also extract waste (tons).  These systems are essential for dwelling in the built environment, yet are structurally and operationally independent of one another, with some nodal exceptions.
