The paper presents an analysis of the directions of rehabilitation of the single-line pumping stations from aspersion irrigation plots. The single-line pumping station consists of one or two pumping units supplied from a canal. Each pumping unit supplies a distribution pipeline equipped with irrigation hydrants. The rehabilitation and modernization has been differentiated on the structural and functional components: foundations, hydromechanical technological line, power supply system, monitoring and automation system. The case study was prepared for an irrigation plot located in the Moldavian area (Plot 7, Doniceasa Falciu, Vaslui County). The irrigation plot has 1222 ha and is equipped with 15 single-line pumping stations. The pumps type is 6 NDS and has the parameters: flow rate 241 - 345 m3 /h, pressure 6.5 - 7.5 bar and power 75 - 110 kW. While pipelines are designed and constructed to maintain their integrity, it is difficult to avoid the occurrence of leakage in a pipeline system during its lifetime. This review paper presents Systematic reviews of relevant published studies related to topics in machine learning (ML) and data analytic (DA) technologies, specifically, concerning distributed Water network leakage and Leakage forecasting methods from pipelines, published in the last nine years (2014-2022). This paper has been motivated by the lack of Systematic literature review articles that integrate water network failure and leakage modeling. Some of the existing practices reviewed the pipe condition and its failure. Others focused on the prediction models, whereas the rest outlined failure prediction models of large diameter mains only. The mainstream of the current practice, highlighted in this paper characterizes the structural deterioration and failure rates using various machine learning techniques, whereas the remainder of research covers a multiplying of machine learning methods to forecast and model the pipeline risk of failure. On top of this, this paper includes a fundamental understanding of the operating principles of currently available pipeline leak detection and prediction technologies. The review offers the models together with their proposed methodologies and algorithms, contributions and limitations and types of collected data used to develop the models using the systematic review method. Finally, future work and research challenges are recommended to assist the research community in setting a clear agenda for the upcoming research. Asumiendo una fuente acústica del tipo impulso como señal de excitación, se obtiene la respuesta de la presión en condición de fallas para tres tipos de fallas: fuga, bloqueo y reducción de área. A partir del modelo lineal de dimensión infinita del gas en el ducto junto con condición de falla, se deriva la respuesta caracteŕıstica que definen los transitorios asociados con los eventos anormales. Aśı, las respuestas de la presión transitoria en un punto de registro en la tubeŕıa, validan resultados emṕıricos usados para la detección de fallas en una tubeŕıa de gas.

An Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) supply chain architecture is used to handle flood water leak incidents occurred by physical disasters in Smart Cities (SCs). Floods produce serious problems and inefficiencies in problematic sectors of water grid. Such incidents are treated as a supply chain problem, where each incident is assigned to a certain priority. On a trigger occurrence the nearest UAV reaches a certain flood water leak incident where the assigned plumber at the SC control system assesses the problem. SC personnel evaluate if it is a high significance incident to fix the problem in real time. In this paper, there are presented certain use cases, which are evaluated with proposed metrics incorporated by control system supply chain architecture to infer the optimum use case for SC recovery. Such a use case is proposed to be adopted by SC control system architecture to handle upcoming scenarios of flood physical disasters.

This document is proposed with the objective to create a first approach through the development of a methodological tool that allows an automatic localization of pipelines in the water supply systems (WSS), by using GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar) as a non destructive inspection technique. To do so, a methodology that permits identification and patterns extraccion through image analysis previously obtained by the GPR. To develop this job, laboratory essays were done under controlled conditions on a dry-soil filled tank, where 4 diferent materials pipelines were previously buried; afterwards, GPR prospections were taken over the tank. This work deals with the location of multiple leaks in a pipeline when only the flows and pressures of the fluid at the extremes of the line are known. The key of the leaks' detector which should operate in quasi-real-time is the family F of parameterized transient models for all two leaks scenarios in the pipeline. The family F of dynamic models is obtained by considering the equivalence in the steady-state of a leak at position z eq with two leaks. This equivalence reduces the dimension of the unknown parameters' vector in the dynamic model from four to two. To estimate the specific parameters of F , an off-line identification process is suggested which minimizes the quadratic error between the pipeline data and the member of the family. Results of the leak detector with 12 scenarios offered estimation errors less than 1% in all the cases for a water pipeline of 200 [m]. This illustrates the potentiality of the parameterized transient model for the identification of multiple leaks.
