    Absolutely Worth it!
This series holds a special place in my heart. I first watched the anime a while ago, and absolutely loved it. I was hesitant to pick up the light novel at first, but when I learned that the light novel had so much more content in it, I knew that I had to pick it up. Everything about series is absolutely amazing, and in my opinion has some of the most realistic characters I’ve seen in a story. Watching Rudeus traverse through his second shot at life is exhilarating and emotional. The new world around him is built so well, and makes you want to continuously learn more about it. All this adds up to one of the best stories out there.

I sincerely love this book. I know the main character can be revolting at times with what he says but once you read the book you can easily look past that. The world building and the slow but entertaining pace is amazing. The characters are flawed but in a good way that makes them seem human. I love the character of Paul. He’s flawed and can sometimes make impulsive decision but he tries to be a good father to his son in his own way. I love how the author takes the time to go to the other characters perspectives for a bit and show the reader how they felt rather then it be only from mc’s view. Absolutely fabulous work of art. Would recommend to anyone who’s willing to give it a chance!
