ARRIVAL CHECK LIST(DECK)

1. Clock in W/H, E/R,S/G Room to be synchronized & phone tested.
2. Test the whistle, general alarm, navigation lights(including the alarm
system) and signal light.
3. Test the operation of steering gear
- main/auxiliary steering system, Hard Over Test

- check whether the rudder indicator is coincided with the rudder angle indicator or not
- the appearance of steering system and the connection parts
- alarm system
- the remote steering gear control systems
- the emergency power supply
COMMON

- the full movement of the rudder according to the required capabilities of the steering gear
MATTERS

4. Main Gyro and all repeaters to be synchronized and operation of magnetic compass.
5. Check the emergency batteries
6. Test the operation of the engine telegraph, main engine and bow thruster.
7. Test/inspection the radar, satellite navigator, echo sounder and speed log.
8. Input AIS data of ship's information(Destination, ETA, Draft, etc)
9. Test the operation of the VHF radio and walkie-talkie (including battery)
10. Prepare the binoculars, flashlights and daylight signal.
11. Check the relevant charts and nautical publications
12. Check whether any crew doses an alcohol or uses a drug or not
13. Test the operation of the deck machinery, Check whether the damaged shell plate & the
clack part

15. BLIND SECTOR(ZONE) ( M)The view of the sea surface from the conning position
shall not be obscured by more than two ship lengths, or 500 m, whichever is the less -
IMO standard
16. Check the inventory, time and work status of main recorder
(If main recorder is not record date, officer must write date on the record paper)
(TELEGRAPH LOGGER, COURSE RECORDER, ECHO SOUNDER etc.)
1. Receive the up to date weather chart and notice ETA to engine room
2. Notice ETA to the pilot station and provide the pilot ladder
3. Confirm the preparation of mooring ropes and whether the anchor will be used or not
4. Check all navigation equipment after arrival in port
5. Check the arrangement condition of the pilot ladder in accordance with SOLAS V/23 &
IMO Regulation A.1045(27) while the pilot embark/disembark.
ARR.

- Crew should attended on the scene during the pilot boarding/leaving those who wearing
the life jacket, transceiver. Also, any safety requirement should be implemented properly
which related SOLAS & IMO Resolution.
- Freeboard of 9meters or less : Man-Rope(Dia. 28~32mm) should be arranged with
handhold stanchions.
- Freeboards of more than 9 meters : Gangway operating angle should bemaintained
within45 degrees.
