Common Installation Problems and Solutions

If you get an error message during installation or when executing the program, the following is a
list of the most common problems and solutions. If you don’t find a solution on this list, please
send us an e-mail at:

support@geomotions.com

1. The stand-alone key will not work on a network server. The key should be plugged to the
same computer where the programs are installed.

2. The programs will not work when “remote access” is enabled on the computer; or, when
remotely connected to the system.

3. BLUE COLOR, Matrix USB Key: Some users have reported that after the installation,
Windows may report that the drivers for the USB key are not installed or the GeoMotions
programs can't find the key. To fix this problem: First, download the following program
that will install the drivers of the key before the program is installed, please use the same
folder where the GeoMotions Suite will be installed (e.g., create the GeoMotions folder):

http://www.geomotions.com/Download/Matrix.zip

Extract the contents of the file to the GeoMotions folder created in 1 above and verify
that a Matrix folder was created, and then execute the inf_inst.exe file. After installing
the drivers, install the GeoMotions Suite.

4. BLACK COLOR, SafeNet/Gemalto Key: Installation/Execution Error: “GeoMotions

USB Hardware Key not found”, Error loading the USB driver:
a. In the folder where the programs where installed, there is a “Utilities\SafeNet”
folder.
b. On this folder, execute the “Sentinel System Driver Installer #.#.#.exe” file and
follow the instructions.
c. Reboot your computer.

5. Execution Error 75, Path\File Access; Error 76, Path not found:
a. Right click on the program icon and select “Run as administrator”. Or,
b. Install the program on a folder other than “Program Files”; e.g.,
“c:\geotechnical\geomotions”. Or,
c. The program is trying to write some control files to the drive and it can’t because
you don’t have enough read/write rights on the hard drive. Ask your IT
department to give you more rights.

“Utilities\GraphicsServer” folder.

7. Installation Error 1311. Source File not found:

a. There was a problem downloading the installation file(s). First, check that the size
of each file, in bytes, is the same as the size shown on the website.
b. If the file size is different, please download the file(s) again.
c. If the file size is the same, then create a new, empty folder, e.g.,
“C:\Download\GeoMotions” and move the installation file(s) to this folder.
d. If you downloaded the zip file, extract the contents and execute the setup.exe file.
Or, if you downloaded the 4 exe files, execute the first file and follow the
instructions.

8. Windows 7 Font Error: If the labels on the program forms do not appear normal, for
example see below:

If you have a high resolution screen at install time, Windows 7 will install a larger font
set (125%) by default. If you then choose go back to the standard font size (100%),
Windows will keep some of the large fonts even though everything else is adjusted for
standard fonts, causing programs that use these fonts to break because the text will not
always fit inside the GUI.

 Finally find Courier 10,12,15
 Change from COURF.FON to COURE.FON
 Restart your system in order for the changes to take effect.
