(a) in a Bachelor’s Course in the current session (2020- 21), shall be required to
produce a withdrawal/cancellation certificate from the college/institution
concerned at the time of verification to this university, failing of which his/her
provisional admission shall be cancelled;
Those candidates who have completed their 10+2 in 2019 or before but have NOT
taken admission in any undergraduate course, must submit an affidavit (on a Non-
Judicial Stamp Paper) that they are not registered in any other day course
anywhere/elsewhere, failing of which her/his admission will be cancelled.

Even if a student’s marks in any particular examination at +2 (H.S) level increases
after review of his/her result for that examination by the concerned Board/ Council
after the last date of submission of online application, such additional marks shall
not be considered hereafter and at the time of counselling/admission, and his/her
rank position in the provisional merit list published below shall not be changed.
Candidates are to take admission in one subject only, even if their names appear in more
than one list. He/she will be permitted to transfer to another subject if his/her turn comes
in the merit order if the subsequent turn is in the waiting list.
If the name appear in the same list in more than one subject, change will be allowed if
vacancy is available after completion of the admission process.
If a candidate fails to submit the fees online on the specified date for admission, the
next candidate in order of merit will be considered for admission.
(J) Hostel accommodation is not assured. However, outstation candidates may apply to
the Dean of Students at the time of verification for hostel accommodation. They are
advised to enclose the following documents along with the application form:
A) Parents’/guardian’s income certificate issued by the employer with office seal for
the employed person and for others from a gazetted officer.
B) Certificate from the appropriate authority for verification of place of residence
with the mention of the name of the nearest police station.
C) SC/ST/Physical Disability/OBC-A/OBC-B certificate, if any.
D) Copy of the Ration Card/Voter Identity Card.

2. Persons with 40% or more disability will only be considered for admission under PD
category under RPD Act, 2016.
3. The candidates who will be provisionally selected under the OBC- A and OBC- B
categories must produce an OBC certificate (the date of issue of the certificate should
not be earlier than August 2019) issued by the competent authority that clearly
indicates (i) the category (A or B) they belong to; (ii) that they do not belong to creamy
layer of the society, at the time of counselling/ admission. [The list of competent

4. OBC-A and OBC-B candidates of the states other than West Bengal are not entitled to
get the benefit of reserved quota in educational institutions in West Bengal, unless they
can produce a domicile certificate of 10-year residency in West Bengal issued by

5. OBC-A and OBC-B candidates who could not upload update category cerificates, have
to submit the same at the time of document verification, failing which her/his
provisional admission will be cancelled.

notified on the website on 07/12/2020 after 6.00 pm.

Jadavpur University has accepted in principle that each and every student of the university
shall be duty bound during the entire period of studentship with the university to immediately
report to the Dean of Students if any ragging is noticed either in university hostel or on
university campus.
If any incident of ragging comes to the notice of the authority, the concerned student shall be
given liberty to explain and if his explanation is not found satisfactory, the authority would
expel him/her from the University.
Details of on-line submission of anti-ragging affidavit shall be made available by the Head,
Department of International Relations, at the time of verification.
Print out of the anti-ragging affidavit submitted on-line by the student and his/her parents
must be submitted to the Head, Department of International Relations within 15 (fifteen)
days from the date of verification.
