OBJECTIVES:

My objective is to pursue an exciting and challenging position of Process Plant


Operator, where I can utilize my knowledge and experience to maintain efficient as
well as safe operation of Process Units.

Presently in ORPIC Delayed coker unit as PROCESS PLANT OPERATOR.

Normal Start up, shutdown & Emergency Shutdown of DCU & CCU

Ensure plant is operating efficiently.

Monitor the plant parameters and ensure that working properly.

Taking necessary actions when the abnormalities occurring in plant equipments.

Perform distillation, absorption, conductor, stabilizer Colum, coalesce package.

Monitor variables such as temperature, pressure, vacuum, and time.

Perform automatic regulation.

Operate heaters, furnaces, compressors, exchangers, stabilizers

Changeover the rotating equipments as per duty roaster.

Make sure the process safeguarding systems are healthy in local panels.

Analyze oil samples.

Produce laboratory recommendations.

Determine quality of product.

Control units by remote control.

Report malfunctioning equipment.

Lubricate and clean equipment.

Observe automatic warning signals.

COKE CUTTING & BRIDGE CRANE OPERATION:

Coke cutting for 5-6hr in every 24hr cycle of decoking cycle.

Preparation to do the coke cutting.


Coordination with the crane operator for coke evacuation from coke drum chute.

Coordination with the Senior Operator before coke cutting and after coke cutting.

Coke cutting water tank sparging (for half hour) draining to maze pit to evacuate coke fines after
coke cutting.

Coordination with Crane Operator for Maze pit cleaning

Operation and monitoring of maze pit pumps.

Jet Pump Operation, Coordination for Jet Pump strainer cleaning.

Handover of coke cutting system for daily routine maintenance.

After Cutting activities Cutting operator will assist to company Blowdown operator.

Monitoring and Adjusting the Coker Slowdown system, Flushing and handover Blowdown bottom
strainer cleaning.

Vent gas compressor operation and hand over Vent Gas Compressor for Strainer Cleaning.

Regular checking of Slowdown Fin fans

Sample collection , Sour Water Pump Strainer cleaning

Blow down bottom pump strainer cleaning frequently.

Moving / Fixing Steam Lancer at Leak Location.

Attends and perform duties for on call assignments and emergency lobs

LOADING/UNLOADING:

Experience in loading/unloading chemicals and liquid gases and belt conveyor

Strong background on terminal/port safety and maritime regulations

Multi-tasking with good ability to prioritise tasks, able to manage own working time effectively

Familiar with and well able to work within loading controller/team leader supervision

Familiar with and able to work with the company s quality, safety, health, security and
environmental policies

Carry out all activities at terminal related to ship loading/unloading operations for dangerous
liquid product and explosive cargoes as per procedures for all raw materials and finished products.

Carries out ship loading/unloading operation for chemicals and Pet coke.
Operates Counterweight Marine Loading Arm

Shift handover from previous shift to understand the actual condition of the loading/unloading
operation and abnormal situations which have occurred, reviewing written shift report and taking
over telecommunication apparatus

Carries out complete area checking at specified intervals and completes documentation

Performs regular job and systematic equipment checking as per list and schedule received from
shift Loading Controller and control room Panel Operator.

Assist the Surveyor to take samples

Carries out all maintenance work under specific instruction to ensure all equipment have the best
efficiency

Carries basic housekeeping of the terminal facility

Performing safely while at work and able to acts emergency response properly targeting of zero
related incidents or accidents at the terminal facility

HANDLING & STORAGE :

Loading coke into barges by operating barge haul system, loading chute, and associated conveyors

Operation of the DCU Overhead Bridge Crane for coke movement and load out

Operation of the drum-un-heading equipment, including a Hahn & Clay device

Taking unit samples as instructed and sending them to the quality department for quality analysis

Overseeing the raw materials brought in to the plant and making sure that the necessary quality
checks have been performed to receive pure raw materials

Handle pet coke from maze pit area and stored in to 2 silo’s capacity of eash silo 30000 MT

CONVEYOR SYSTEM :

Handle conveyor belt control manipulation duties

Initiate operations by handling levers and valves in order to start pumps


Adjust equipment positions and handle speed and material flow

Make observations on conveyor belt operations in order to monitor function

Clear jams when required by stopping and restarting machinery

Observe conveyor belt to determine damaged goods and remove and report them to authorities

Perform preventative maintenance on conveyor belts and auxiliary parts to ensure proper working
order

Diagnose problems with conveyor belts and perform measures to troubleshoot issues

Replace expired parts as part of the repair process

Weigh materials that need to be put on the conveyor belt in order to make sure that it conforms to
set standards

Prepare and maintain documentation of each cycle along with repair reports

Inform supervisors of any malfunctions or repairs that need to be managed on an immediate basis

FIRE & GAS EQUIPMENT:

Dry Chemical powder and CO 2 Fire Water springler system, fusible plugs, deluge valve, foam
tank, fire & gas panel (pyrotronics), automatic / manually release system, fire and gas detectors, H 2S &
flare fuel gas system and water seal.
