04 People and operator safety

- In operation: the design of breaking chamber enables the dielectric withstand across open contacts, even in the air.

- During operator interventions:

• An indicator, mechanically linked to the contact operation shaft, clearly shows the load-break switch’s
position. This indicator is visible from the base of the pole.
• Use of a tumbler mechanism in the tank to secure the opening/closing operations.

- In a case of an incident: a safety valve, fitted to the switch’s sealed enclosure, to avoid any risk of an explosion.

05 Upgradable solution

- Manual version can be converted to a remote one by changing the control mechanism in the tank
and by adding a control box and energy supply Voltage Transformer.

Versions

Manual control with rod assembly: The

operation is carried out horizontally using
a lever mounted on a rotating rod assem-
bly. Using the control lever, the switch can
be locked to “closed” or “open” position or
to remote control mode.

Manual control with hook stick: The op-

eration is carried out using a hook stick.
Manual control allows three positions;
switchgear open, switchgear closed and
electrical mode.

Control unit for motorized version: The

control box installed at eye level allows
the electrical operation of the switch
equipped with a motorised operating
mechanism.

Internal or external Voltage Transformer:

In standard electrical version, Ergoswitch
is equipped with an internal Voltage
Transformer. An external Voltage Trans-
