1.06 Submittals

A. Sales bulletins and other general publications are not acceptable as submittals except
where necessary to provide supplemental technical data.

B. Submit for Saudi Aramco approval before fabrication or installation:

1. Component manufacturing data sheets together with a technical product

brochure or bulletin indicating pertinent data and identifying each component
by tag number and nomenclature as indicated on Drawings and in
Specifications, or required.

B. Delivery:

1. Following completion of shop assembly, factory test, and approval of all

equipment by Saudi Aramco, the panels, and cabinets shall be prepared for
shipping by being wrapped in heavy-duty polyethylene covers, and packed in
protective crates to protect the equipment from damage, dust, and moisture.

2. Dehumidifying agents shall be placed inside the covers, and the equipment
shall then be skid-mounted for transport to it's final location. The packed
weights shall be conspicuously shown, and the crate shall have instructions
for unloading, transporting, storing, and handling at the job-site.

3. Deliver spare parts at same time as pertaining equipment. Deliver to Saudi

Aramco after completion of work.

C. Storage:

1. The equipment shall not be stored outdoors. Equipment, including in-line

equipment, shall be stored in dry permanent shelters, and shall be adequately
protected against mechanical damage. Any damaged equipment shall be
repaired by the Contractor at his own expense. Equipment that may have

been subjected to possible water damage shall be thoroughly dried out and
tested as required by Saudi Aramco. This additional work shall be at the

2.03 Local Control Panel

A. Conforming to 34-SAMSS-821 for outdoor locations, the local control panels

enclosure shall be NEMA-4X. Constructed of 316L stainless steel to dimension as
required for properly accommodating all devices shown on drawings.

B. Instruments and Accessories: Mounted, wired or piped to terminal strips and properly
identified to provide ease of field connection. Cover mounted devices shall be wired
with blinded harnesses to permit full door opening.

C. Provide a stand-off removable panel at the back for mounting of devices. All internal
relays, terminal blocks, circuit devices and items shall be installed on mounting rails
where available from manufacturer.

D. Refer to general arrangement, wiring and P&ID Drawings and instruments

specification sheets for items and devices to be mounted on the panel.

A. Use Saudi Aramco Standard Drawings as per SAES-J-006 in the installation details in
addition to the manufacturer's recommendation.

3.02 Field Calibration

A. Calibrate instrumentation in presence of Saudi Aramco Representative.
