Task 2.: Notice

           a. Answer the questions at page 104
1. How did you prepare for this activity?
-I prepare this by doing the following : I go to the library and compile a list of articles that pique
students interest.I provide  students with accurate and up to date information.
2. Describe how you or the teacher utilize the resources/instructional materials.Narrate your
experience as you participated and assisted?
 We all know that instructional materials provide the essential knowledge that students
will encounter, learn, and apply throughout a course. As a future teacher, I will use
various instructional materials to encourage learning. I will include deliberate learning
aids that will help students understand ideas and concepts. I will also incorporate some
feedback into students' activities.
3. What were your feelings and thoughts while you were assisting with the use of the
resources/materials?
 I feel happy and well-informed because these resources/ materials will aid me in my
efforts to serve. It is also a guide and provides ideas when you are instructing your
students and help them understand the teaching easily.
4. Describe how the students responded and participated.
 The goal of increasing student involvement isn't for everyone to participate in the same
way or at the same time.It is to establish an environment in which all students have the
opportunity to learn . Make it clear from the beginning that you expect pupils to take
part.Explain why you believe class involvement is important. The students responded and
participated by fostering full participation by raising their hands when they want to tell
something and they also give insights.
Task 3, Analyze
           b. Perform the activity at page 105
 What worked well during the activity using the resources/materials?
 You should assess which of your lesson's activities was effective and which your students
took away. For instance, were your students engaged and had fun?
 What part can be improved?
-As a teacher, I believe she would have appropriately modulated her voice so that the students
could comprehend what she was saying and also been engaged with her voice so that the students
would be fully engaged.
 What would you have done differently ?What would I change? What will make it better next
time?
 what I will change next is my communication skills and I will be even more confident in
front of the students. Also, my voice modulation and humor integration will make the
debate more dynamic and complete.
 How does this connect with what you know about selecting and using instructional materials?
 I had no idea how crucial learning materials were to reaching learning goals before I
started my career. I've lately come to realize that there are many things to take into
account when choosing educational resources for kids, all of which must be connected
and aligned to support your learning objectives. In addition, we must provide tools that
are easy to understand and use while taking student needs and learning preferences into
account.
Task 4: Reflect (page 105-106)
1. How ready am I in selecting and developing resources/instructional materials in the teaching-
learning process?
 I am confident that the materials I have produced will satisfy my pupils' needs. I am
aware of how important it is to use legit sources for accurate knowledge and to produce
things that are visually appealing and engaging for students. I am aware that it is vital to
plan ahead in order to have efficient learning materials that will support students' growth
and help them to put what they have learned and apply.
2. What do I still need to learn to select and develop resources/instructional materials in teaching
effectively?
 The instructional resources serve as the basis for what the students can do and learn. It is
crucial for a teacher to have sufficient expertise in selecting educational materials to
ensure that the content is accurate and pertinent to both the subject and the learners. Since
they have the ability to either motivate students or demotivate them, instructional
materials must be carefully considered, improved, and implemented. Teachers should
analyze these resources before choosing them, define them according to the learning
outcomes, and take into account learning modalities that convey knowledge in different
ways. Multimedia learning is more engaging and can accommodate a variety of learning
modalities.
3. What can I do to learn about and practice the use of resources and instructional materials?
 The main content that students will encounter and comprehend during a course is
provided by the instructional materials. They can either inspire or demotivate students.
When choosing instructional resources, the instructor should be sufficiently prepared or
use criteria such as accuracy, alignment to standards, engagement, and capacity to satisfy
student requirements.
Task 5: Answer the “Write action Research Prompts” Questions (page 106-107)
OBSERVE
1. Doing this episode on selecting and using resources/instructional materials, what problematic
situation / challenges /area of improvement did I find? One of the problems, in my opinion, is the
selection of instructional materials, applicability of the resources used, and reliability.
REFLECT
2. List at least three resources that you have read about this problem/challenge/area of improvement

3. What do I hope to achieve to address the challenge /area of improvement? What change do I want
to achieve?
-I'm expecting that all of the information and resources I'll be using in class will be beneficial. It
should fill in the gaps left by other learning materials. Selecting the right teaching resources and
materials based on the needs of the students is also important in order to create a productive and
enjoyable teaching-learning environment.

PLAN
4. What strategies/solutions/means can I employ to improve the situation/solve the problem?
 The strategies/solutions that improve or solve the problem are:
 Help students understand the problem-in order to solve the problems, the students need to define
the end goal.
 Take enough Time- when planning a lecture, budget enough time for understanding the problem
and defining the goal both individually and as a class.dealing with questions from you and your
students.
 ask questions and make suggestions-ask students to predict. This will help them to develop
analytical and deductive thinking skills.Ask questions and make suggestions about strategies to
encourage students to reflect on the problem-solving strategies that they use.
ACT
5. If you will conduct action research , what will be the title(Based on your answers in nos.1-3) “
The Impact of Multimedia on Improving Language Literacy Skills in Students.

Task 6. Answer questions for Checking Mastery at page 108 and discuss your answers briefly.
1. C - Dale Cone of Experience can help a teacher be mindful of the choice of resources or
instructional materials in terms of extent of being concrete or abstract BECAUSE DALE CONE
OF EXPERIENCE is a model that incorporates several theories related to instructional design and
learning processes.
2. D - Miss Violo considers in choosing material that is Developmental appropriateness because
developmentally appropriate refers to the practice of making a curriculum based on what students
are able to do cognitively ,physically and emotionally at a certain age.It is a way of teaching that
meets young children where they are.
3. B - inclusive and free of cultural bias
4. A - Watching a Theater play on The Death March  gives the most concrete experience to the
learners.The concrete experience emphasizes personal
5. involvement with people in everyday situations. In this situation the learner relies on the ability to
be open-minded and adaptable to change.B -  the teacher should consider all resource or material
except the most expensive therefore the most durable
Task 6: Work on your artifacts (page 109)
Attach pieces of evidence that you accomplished in this episode
In terms of offering my own recommendations for what should go in the learning resources, I made
significant progress. To engage students in an environment where they may learn and grow, it should
include accurate and meaningful content. You should also be aware of your students' areas of interest. To
ensure that everyone learns and comprehends the material equally, the students should be the main focus
of your lesson. You should need to have conductive yet equal teaching.
I will be rated along the following:
a. Quality of my observations and documentations
b. Completeness and depth of my analysis
c. Depth and clarity of my classroom observation – based reflections
d. Completeness, organization, and clarity of my portfolio and
e. Time of submission of my portfolio
