What is the student learning goal(s) for this lesson idea? Students will be able to use pear deck as a
web tool to communicate and collaborate with each other while using pear deck.
How do you plan to implement this lesson and integrate the technology? Check all that apply:
☐ Teacher-led: There is no student voice and choice in the activities. Students are guided by
teacher direction and expectations. Learning activities are assigned to the
student and mostly practice based.
☐ Student-Led: Students are given voice and choice in the activities. They may select the topic
of learning and/or determine the tool they will use to meet the learning goal. The
teacher facilitates the learning as the students direct their own learning processes.
☐ Problem-based and/or Publishable: Students are solving problems
and completing projects to demonstrate their learning. Additionally, the projects can be shared
outside of the classroom. (Note: This objective could be reached by displaying the project on the
school’s morning newscast, posting the project to the classroom blog, presenting it to another
class, or publishing via an outside source.)
Lesson idea implementation: Students will be using pear deck for the lesson, it is student lead with
the help of teacher. Students will be learning about the water cycle through engaging ways like
videos, multiple choice questions, and open responses to the material.
Managing student learning: Pear Deck is a co-use/ co- engagement tool, students are in engaged by
questions throughout the PowerPoint. It is a focused tech tool that will be on a computer or iPad
students will follow along as teacher goes through the PowerPoint. Students get to interact with
each other with certain responses or teacher mode shows the answers anomalously to collaborate.

Universal Design for Learning (UDL): Students have a new way to interact with each other without
having to hear a voice, they can share drawings, and see peers’ answers. Students have a traditional
way with a twist of new technology that helps learn and stay engage.
Reflective Practice: Finding new ways to teach students is important I think Pear Deck is a neat way
for online learning or face to face. It lets student interact together and collaborate as they learn new
material. This tool will help students stay engaged and want to keep learning.
